Amidst the stunned gazes of the crowd, Clorinde's graceful figure suddenly flickered like a phantom, vanishing with a speed too fast for the naked eye to follow.
In an instant, she seemed to evaporate into thin air, leaving behind only a faint afterimage that lingered in everyone's vision.
Shajin, on the other hand, stood firm like a towering mountain, unmoving.
His gaze was steady and focused, unwavering, as if no amount of noise or interference from the outside world could shake him in the slightest.
At that moment, his powerful hands gripped a gleaming longblade, raising it high above his head.
From a distance, he resembled an unshakable fortress, emanating an awe-inspiring presence that could suppress all opposition.
Clang!
With a thunderous crash, a burst of dazzling sparks exploded into the air like fireworks streaking across the night sky.
Clorinde's weapon and Shajin's raised longblade clashed with the force of twin lightning bolts crashing together, unleashing a tide of overwhelming power.
The entire battlefield quaked from the impact, the clash echoing like a shriek through the sky.
Shajin stood firm amid the smoke-filled chaos, facing Clorinde's storm-like barrage with startling calm. He moved with casual ease, as if he were simply strolling through a garden.
His footwork was grounded yet nimble, each step skillfully evading fatal strikes.
His blade flowed with practiced finesse, each slash perfectly deflecting the onslaught.
From the calm confidence in his eyes, it was clear—this deadly duel meant little to him. To Shajin, it was nothing more than a game.
Clorinde's heart tightened. She pushed harder, her attacks becoming a torrential storm of sharp, intricate techniques. Her force surged like crashing waves.
Yet Shajin stood as steady as bedrock, deflecting every strike with masterful ease—and even managing swift counterattacks that lashed out like lightning.
The clash escalated Into a breathtaking exchange. Blades and blades danced through the air, forming a net of light so fast it was almost invisible.
Each impact sparked explosions of energy, their sheer force like thunder shaking the earth.
The air split with every swing, roaring like a wild beast, echoing into the sky.
Their figures weaved back and forth across the battlefield, moving unpredictably.
At times, Clorinde darted like a bird, evading with grace.
At others, she pounced like a tiger, launching ferocious counterstrikes with explosive power.
As the battle reached its fever pitch, the tension in the air thickened. Even the wind seemed to scream in terror at the intensity of their clash.
The atmosphere twisted with turbulence, whirlpools of raw force spiraling around the combatants.
Then, at that critical moment—Shajin's eyes gleamed.
Like a hawk spotting prey, he locked onto the tiniest flaw in Clorinde's technique.
Without hesitation, he unleashed his full might, erupting like a long-dormant volcano.
Gripping his blade with both hands, he poured every ounce of strength into a mighty swing. The strike exploded like a bolt of lightning, cleaving through the battlefield with unstoppable force.
Clorinde's eyes widened in shock. She twisted desperately to dodge, but whether she could fully evade that deathblow remained uncertain…
Shajin's assault chased her relentlessly, storming in like a tempest.
Forced onto the back foot, Clorinde found herself overwhelmed.
Before she could regain her footing, Shajin lashed out with a fierce kick, his leg cutting through the air like a gale and slamming straight into her abdomen.
A dull grunt escaped Clorinde as she stumbled back, her body swaying like a wind-tossed blossom, on the brink of collapse.
Yet she refused to fall. Gritting her teeth, eyes burning with determination, she steadied herself and charged again.
Shajin's lips curled into a faint smirk of disdain.
With a sidestep, he easily avoided her renewed attack, then countered with a straight punch aimed directly at her face.
Clorinde twisted aside like a shadow, dodging with ghostly precision. At the same time, she raised her arm to block the incoming blow.
Thud!
Shajin's fist slammed into her arm with a muffled crash. A powerful jolt coursed through her limb, making it go numb, as if a thousand needles stabbed into her nerves.
The shock even made her body tremble involuntarily.
Clorinde's heart sank—but she did not falter.
Instead, her eyes sharpened with resolve. In the split second Shajin paused, she launched a sudden kick at his waist, fast as lightning.
The strike tore through the air with a sharp whoosh.
But Shajin, a battle-hardened warrior, reacted instantly.
With a light tap of his feet, he leapt back like an arrow loosed from a bow, effortlessly dodging the surprise attack.
And so the duel continued.
Each strike carried both deadly force and refined technique, their limbs flashing like afterimages, intertwining mid-air in a storm of light and shadow.
Their silhouettes flickered across the battlefield, crossing paths in a whirlwind that kicked up plumes of dust.
As time passed, Clorinde's breath grew heavier and heavier.
