Chapter 28 - The Nameless Monarch

[About Wang Li, The Nameless Monarch-

The Great Leader of The Guardians of The Immortal Realm, Wang Li. The Protector of The Immortal Realm. He was appointed by The Order of The Heavens delivered through The messenger of The Heavens.

But he was not always so. He was once a ordinary person whose family mambers except his sister, Wang Ling, were killed by some demonic cultivators. Being in the thirst of revenge for his family, he joined any sect that could except him but to no avail.

He was just not suitable for cultivation for he had a very unique spiritual root, that was not recoeded in the known history. He had a Null Spiritual root, uncapable of channeling any spiritual energy. He was ridiculed by any wandering cultivator he met to ask for help.

He vanished into wilderness, along with his sister, without a trace. Where rumours say,he vanished into The Abyss. But they were just rumours, nobody actually knew what had happened to them, but when they returned, they were very strong.

Together, they killed their enemies but were never able to take revenge because their killers had already died to go into The Cycle of Reincarnation.

However, they did not want their killers to reincarnate, so they decided to Ascend together and become strong enough to interfere with The Cycle Of Reincarnation.

They quickly rose through the ranks of Immortal Realm.

In their 1st year in The Immortal Realm, They were still mere low-tier Immortals.

In the 5th year, The Peak Of Radiant Immortal Realm. They joined a sect third rate sect called Ironshade Monastry. The sect, though a sect, was more like bandits who ocassionaly looted people. So when they bacame Void-Step immortals, They annhilated that sect and returned all the gathered gold to the ones who were looted by them.

They were hailed as heroes in the nearby villages and a town, of whose people gave them the title of, The Guardian Duo.

Later they were recruited by a first -rate sect, The Radiant Sun Sect, which was one of the most rightous sect in the area. It was one of the great powers of the kingdom. Heroes to the common people, but enemies to the other sects.

In the 66th year, They had become Heavenly Saints, capable of destroying kindoms and that's exactly what they did for the kingdom had joined hands with the other sects to destroy their sect, but thanks to the timely arrival of common people, who came in the numbers of millions, who had gathered to protect the sect, casualities were not so high.

The kingdom couldn't just kill their own citizens, so the Radiant Sun Sect survived, but was greatly weakened that they fell into being a second-rate sect.

In the 100th year and also the most life changing year in their lifetime, They became Heavenly Monarchs and took oath to exterminate any and all evil in The Immortal Realm. They saved countless people, millions of villages, hundereds of thousands of cities and thousand kingdoms and even a few empires.

At the end of the year, That Messenger of The Heavens came to appoint Wang Li as the Guardian Of The Immortal Realm but he had to do so from external threats, i.e. From the outer space. But they were still happy. Even though, Wang Ling didn't get any position but a half a talisman of some kind, she was happy.

The messenger than left without saying a word except for the date when Wang Li had to come at the edge of the Immortal Realm.

In the 200th year, Wang Li came back to Immortal Realm for a few weeks, but what he saw filled him with intense fury, some called it The Divine rage. His sister was said to be killed by the joint attack of Heavenly Monarchs.

He attacked them and killed 4 of them before finally being defeated but he still survived, which made him a legend which would be passed down the history for geneatios to come but was stopped by those Heavenly Monarchs, and only few information was recorded.

He gathered a few of his friends who were mainly from The Radiant Sun Sect and got to a seculded place and established The Abyssal Court. Now, nobody knows about it's location.

Now, more than 3000 years had passed since then. It had happened when Zhurong was still a youth of 20-30 years, so he knew about it.
