Chapter 52 - 52: Only truth

"Is this... like a date?" she asked, slightly taken aback.

"I wouldn't call it that. More like a short walk to get to know each other better. And at the same time, you'll get to know this city better. It's known throughout the world as the most criminal place, but believe me, that doesn't spoil its beauty at all."

"Okay…" the girl said, somehow not very confidently. "I agree, when do we go?"

"Well, right now!"

Leaving the studio behind, we went to the nearest sports store. Having chosen two pairs of skates and more suitable clothes - warm sweaters, we went to conquer the rink in full combat readiness.

Two people were walking down the street together: a tall, attractive guy and a beautiful, bright girl.

Such a picture could drive proud singles crazy! While we were walking leisurely towards a large stadium, and talking about random topics, my gaze again fell on the player located on my companion's belt. And all this time it continued to work, playing music!

Although the sound was barely audible through the headphones, it could not escape my gaze. In fact, I am not too surprised by this, because this is Alison's power.

She is able to transform sound waves into light waves. As a source of sound, she carries a player with her.

Dazzler is able to control the direction, color, strength and duration of her flashes, surround herself with radiance, create geometric shapes and even holographic images from light beams, blind people with powerful flashes of light, make them lose consciousness from chaotic flashes and create semblances of laser beams that can cut almost anything.

With the help of these laser beams, she surrounds herself with a protective force field that deflects dangerous objects.

Thanks to her abilities, Alison is protected from bright light and loud sounds, but she cannot transform her own voice into light. While her player is playing, she is completely protected and prepared…

"Alison, why did you decide to sign a contract with a studio now? Before, you always managed alone," I asked a question that slightly saddened the blonde.

"Because I'm baked," the girl said in a sad tone. "I used to release good songs. I don't know how good they really were, but people liked them, and I was happy. But then I started to get tired... Too much was placed on my shoulders, and my inspiration, over time, began to fade. I tried everything to start writing again... But nothing changed. And then I heard your compositions, and they were simply wonderful. I was waiting for the release of your album, like the most inveterate fan, but in reality, only one question tormented me. Will all your works be so amazing? After all, inspiration does not last forever... In the end, I realized that I should not compare myself to truly talented people."

"Did I understand you correctly? Are you my fan?" I decided to clarify.

"Ha-ha, of course! Your compositions are just something! I even envy your talent... When I heard your first song, it dawned on me! If I join the Alritex Records studio, then you will be able to write me a few songs too. Especially now, you do not have many contract singers, which means I will be able to get a pretty good song. That is why I decided to join your team."

"As I thought, you are a very far-sighted woman."

"I will not be too modest," she tossed her hair. "And how exactly did you look for inspiration? Were you waiting for some happy occasion?"

"I don't know… Maybe so. You don't have to go far for inspiration, because every little thing can serve as it."

"Wise words of a great master," Alison giggled. We got to the skating rink. It was 4 o'clock in the afternoon.

The skating rink had opened quite recently. And it looked good, the interior layout was quite stylish. At the entrance, I helped my companion change her shoes.

"Have you skated before?"

Alison, a little embarrassed, answered, "I rollerbladed."

"There is nothing to worry about. Skating is as easy as rollerblading. The main thing is to practice keeping your balance a little," I extended my hand to the girl.

"I'll be close so you don't have to be afraid of falling." After a slight hesitation, she finally gave me her thin, snow-white hand.

"Let's skate slowly," Blaire said in a quiet voice.

"Then hold on to my hand tighter," smiling, I pulled her along with me to the center of the rink.

At first, I glided slowly so that the girl could get used to the skates. The indoor rink was huge. Its area was at least 700-800 square meters. The high dome was completely covered with lighting lamps that illuminated the entire area in detail.

I, dragging Alison along with me, avoided the main flow of the crowd and skated to the side, gradually accelerating.

"Not so fast!" she shouted, after which she giggled. Her ringing, bell-like laughter sank into my soul.

"I want to ask you a question, do you think you can answer it honestly?" I asked the smiling blonde.

"What is it?"

"What is the real reason that you want to organize your own concerts?"

"It's... Like I said, I just have a lot of experience in this. It's more familiar to me," she said, with a barely noticeable worry in her voice.

"I didn't say it, but I am the kind of person who respects the truth, no matter what form it takes. That's why I basically always tell the truth. Perhaps at some point I tell a lie without realizing it... But this happens quite rarely. That's why I want to tell you that I am a person who knows more than others."

"What are you getting at?"

"I know that you are a mutant who can control light."
