The school day went by, but the tension between Keita and Yuzuki grew heavier and heavier. It was like a silent storm, ready to explode at any moment. Whenever their eyes met, it felt as if the whole world around them disappeared, and they were left alone in their own little bubble.
Throughout the day, Keita tried to focus on his classes, but his eyes kept drifting toward Yuzuki. She stood at the front of the class, writing something on the board, but every time she turned around, Keita would catch her gaze. A brief exchange of glances, and everything else seemed to fade away.
During a break, Keita stopped by the large window, watching his classmates laugh together. But once again, his eyes met hers. Yuzuki was at the teacher's desk, adjusting her glasses, but then immediately looked up and stared at Keita.
It was a gaze so intense, so deep, as if they were speaking without saying a word.
Ako and Riko stood behind Keita, watching silently.
— "Look what's happening," Ako said with a sly smile.
— "See? They keep looking at each other! I bet they're about to open up to one another," Riko added, her eyes full of endless curiosity.
But Keita, still staring at Yuzuki, felt like a kid caught in a lie—yet he couldn't stop himself. Something about her pulled him in—that magnetic force that made everything else disappear.
At the end of the day, when the bell rang, Keita tried to leave quickly. But Yuzuki grabbed his arm without saying a word.
It was like a silent dance between them—no one dared speak. All that could be heard was their slightly deep breathing and the sound of hearts beating, almost as if in unison.
— "Keita..." Yuzuki said in a whisper, almost imperceptible, but strong enough to send chills down his spine.
Keita looked at her, heart racing, yet feeling strangely calm in her presence. There were no more words. In that moment, all they wanted was to be closer—but they knew they had to wait. The world around them still wasn't ready for what they felt.
A few steps away, Riko and Ako exchanged a silent glance. They knew something was about to happen.
And at home, Yuzuki closed the door with a slight tremble in her hands. The same thoughts... the same desires... But she wondered if, finally, she had the courage to let him know how she truly felt.
