Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: You Truly Are the Most Beautiful Flower in the Underworld

Okay.

Imma just say these and leave some info cuz a lot of yall are crying from the previous chapter.

Theirs been a lot of people having problem with having Japan falling into the rule of The Empire, but the reality is, it fall under the rule of a Lostbelt King, the Emperor(Qin Shi Huang).

Now for those who don't know, Lostbelt Kings in Fate is not your average Heroic Spirit. They are beings so powerful, so absurdly broken, that their entire history was cut off from Proper Human History, yet they ruled their version of Earth flawlessly.

Most of them are divine-class rulers, usually with authority over fate, time, or reality itself.

The only thing I could think of someone from Japan that can go toe-to-toe is Tamamo no Mae, but as mentioned somewhere in this fic, she only have something like3 tails at the moment I think, not enough to defeat him.

And in Fate lore, Tamamo is one of Amaterasu's Nine Tail Fragments, and her full power as a Divine Spirit isn't active unless all her tails are reunited.

Japan didn't fall under the rule of an another country or some random mofo, it fall to an emotionless Lostbelt King that rule not through desires or bias but rule through efficiency and order.

Its not like this happened only in Japan, this happened also in the other part of the world also.

Lets take how the fic mentioned somewhere that the British(Knights of the Round Table) and the France(Jalter) are actively competing for Europa. And even though it was not yet mentioned in the fic but lets assume Nero is competing for it as well.

And lets be real with Iskandar, he probably conquered a country or two by now.

We have also the Olympian heroic spirits ruling the west right now too.

We have Mesopotamian, the Hindus, the aztecs and other players in this fic so lets be real, even though it was portrayed as an easygoing fic in the earlier chapters such as this, we not even crossed 7% of the fic, its not gonna be wholesome later on(for the world).

This is not all about the video's that Alaya's gonna post but also some crazy ass power play from this factions in the near future.

That's why Alaya is exposing videos so that Sanjiro can gain his previous strength and have allies cuz of this crazy ass power dynamics.

Theirs literally scattered hints of something bad happening in the near future.

And one more thing.

Enough with the chinese propaganda this, chinese propaganda that the moment a Chinese author writes a story where someone like Qin Shi Huang rules a few countries, but nobody bats an eye when some western author writes that Olympian gods rule half the world or random Greek myth stuff takes over the whole planet.

Why is it that when it's China, suddenly it's "glazing" or "biased," but when it's Zeus, or Odin, or some dude in Rome are kicking ass heroes of different pantheons?

Don't be biased dude. If the character's busted, they're busted.

Also remember that this is a chinese fic, they're bound to have some heroic spirits from the fic.

I understand it though why yall are crying, but the thing is, I've learned to grow pass that phase.

Maybe yall too.

===================

Just looking at Her was like witnessing the origin of life itself—like returning to the womb of the mother of all mankind.

It was a strange, unique feeling.

Difficult to put into words.

In Her purplish-red eyes shimmered a radiant maternal light.

Like a gentle mother watching her mischievous child.

And yet—

The ocean that surrounded Her teemed with an endless mass of black and red.

As if the entire sea had been dyed in blood—so red it had turned black—harboring the will to destroy everything.

"Sumerian myth's primordial mother goddess, bearer of the Principle of [Return], the Second Beast among the Seven Evils of Humanity—Tiamat."

Nameless revealed Her identity in one breath.

"She can be considered the mother of all mankind in the Sumerian mythology. You may call her... 'Tiamom!'"

A string of titles that left all the viewers baffled—

HistorianWithWifi-[What's the Evil of Humanity? There are seven of them? Who else besides Tiamat?]

TooHotToPeg-[The mother of humanity in the Sumerian world? No wonder she feels so maternal—I just want to jump into her arms!]

ICastFart-[Tiamom, will you accept a baby that's 1 year and 200 months old?]

FateBot-[Hmph! Tiamom is the cutest in the world! She's not some evil monster—upvote if you agree!]

These people seriously had no clue what the Evils of Humanity were.

Sanjiro looked at the comments with a deep sense of disconnect.

The Evils of Humanity—these were Beasts meant to annihilate mankind.

If not for his tireless battles and the sacrifices of countless Heroic Spirits, there would've been zero hope of victory.

"What destroys mankind isn't weakness or ignorance, but arrogance."

Sanjiro sighed softly in his heart.

The less people know, the more they live in a well, unable to see how vast the world truly is.

Back in the video—

After displaying the power of the Mother Goddess, Ereshkigal looked at Nameless in slight astonishment. "You know Her?"

Back then, the Mother Goddess had been banished to the Imaginary Number Space, leaving no trace in human history. The gods viewed Her as their greatest threat, fearing Her return and the annihilation of the pantheon.

She was tightly sealed.

Now, with Nameless using Ea to sever the chains between heaven and earth, the gods had lost their control over the Mother Goddess.

That's why She had revived—finally breaking free of the Imaginary Prison.

"I know many things… far more than you can imagine," Nameless replied with a smile.

"Hmph! A mere mortal, daring to act so arrogantly before us gods!"

Ereshkigal huffed.

This guy—he showed her not the slightest hint of fear.

And yet, strangely, it made her… happy.

Nameless wrapped the now slightly restored golden chains around his wrist, then added a request: "Also, I ask you to preserve another person's soul origin."

"You're so damn demanding… Fine, this is the last time!"

Ereshkigal stomped her foot lightly, but still didn't refuse him.

Her adorably flustered gesture left the audience wide-eyed—

ConstipatedProcrastinator-[Good lord… this is really the terrifying, despair-inducing ruler of the Underworld?]

SimpProMax16-[She's so cute I can't take it—AWSL (ah, I'm dead from cuteness)!]

RebelliousExecutive-[It's over… even the goddess can't resist Nameless' charm. She's totally fallen for him! Arghh dammit!!]

AlmightyMiddleFinger-[Damn, I felt like a steamroller just ran over my face!]

Rin Tohsaka stared blankly at the screen.

The powerful mistress of the Underworld looked exactly like Ishtar—in other words, exactly like her.

After Hiratsuka publicly screened the video, all her classmates were sneaking glances at her!

She didn't need to ask to know what they were imagining—that she'd strike the same cute poses too.

Damn it!

Wasn't this just public execution!?

Rin tried to stay calm, but her cheeks were burning hot.

Out of the corner of her eye, she glanced at Sanjiro, who sat near the window.

The more she looked, the more she felt he bore a mysterious resemblance to Nameless.

When she recalled the figure that appeared again and again in her dreams, and how Ereshkigal blushed at Nameless in the video…

Rin found it harder and harder to look him in the eye.

Damn it! This is all Alaya's fault!

Back to the video—

That nameless Heroic Spirit, who walked through human history, finished tying up various matters. Then he suddenly reached out, as if to stroke her head—

But for some reason, he retracted his hand.

He sighed softly. "I'm sorry… I'm merely a passerby in the annals of humanity. I cannot form bonds—only add to the loneliness. Truly… I'm sorry."

"Cannot form bonds… only add to the loneliness?" Ereshkigal murmured these words, then suddenly widened her eyes. "You're leaving?"

"Yes."

He nodded, his handsome face full of apology. "Shall I… give you some flowers before I go?"

"I don't want them. Flowers can't bloom in the Underworld!"

She shook her head firmly.

The Underworld—a land of death—could never harbor anything living.

"No, you're wrong. The Underworld does have a flower. Only one. The most beautiful flower in the world," Nameless said, contradicting her.

"Where?"

Ereshkigal looked stunned.

She was the ruler of the Underworld—how had she never seen it?

"It's right before me." Nameless smiled. "You are the most beautiful flower in the Underworld."

"...Hmph, you're spouting nonsense again!"

She stomped her foot again, her cheeks flushing bright red.

This annoying guy kept finding ways to tease her—such a scoundrel!

She couldn't help but snap at him, "If you ever do this again, I'll just ignore… you…"

Her words cut off.

Because before her—he had vanished without a trace.

Just like when he arrived, he disappeared completely.

Even with her divine senses, she couldn't detect the slightest trace.

He had passed through her world…

"Cannot form bonds… only add to the loneliness…"

Ereshkigal stood frozen in place for a long, long time, repeating those words to herself.

And at last—she understood their meaning.

Much later—

She sat alone on her throne, gazing out at the lifeless Underworld, and sighed softly,

"I could've endured the darkness… had I not seen the light. Why… did you have to let me see the light?"

Feared by all, hated by the gods—the mistress of the Underworld once again sat alone in her barren realm.

Only now, she felt even lonelier than before.

At that moment—

A loud rumbling echoed from above, and a huge hole opened in the ceiling.

Ishtar's voice came shouting down from the surface. "Eresh! Did that bastard come find you?!"

"He's gone," Ereshkigal replied calmly.

"Arghhh! That bastard! I have to settle the score! Who the hell does he think he is, calling me a monkey?! I swear I'll find him!"

Ishtar's furious roars echoed across the Underworld.

The screen froze on that scene.

Text began to scroll across the screen—

[Decades later, Ereshkigal joined the Three Goddess Alliance, vowing to protect humanity in her own way…]

[This side story ends here!]

[To find out what happens next, stay tuned for the next video!]

The screen slowly faded to black.

"Gods trying to descend into the real world?" Sanjiro looked deeply unimpressed. "Come on, the Age of Gods is long gone."

This world repels the descent of all divine beings.

No matter how mighty they are, they can't set foot in this era.

But then—

"Wait, what the hell?"

Sanjiro's eyes suddenly shot to a spot three seats away.

On Rin's body… why was there a familiar—

Divine aura?!

(T/N: Bruh can't stop canon event.)
