The school season began again and Lucas, who had been compelled out of it throughout the weekend, decided it was time to get his head straight.
'Vampires, bloodsuckers, let's stop thinking of them for now.' He told himself as he made his way to his class while clutching his bag.
He had passed by the cafe on his way to school and saw Devon, smiling at his customers as he sold them their usual coffee. It was inevitable for him to see that because that was the only shirt route he could take to school.
And it wasn't like he was trying to avoid him. If anything, he hoped to catch a glimpse of him.
He thought about it a lot. It was dangerous to get involved with vampires. The world was already as dangerous as it was, so getting involved with even more dangerous beings was out of control.
And yet... He touched his chest.
His heart wouldn't stop beating for him. He missed their time together, more than he thought he would.
