Elara paced around her chambers, Horus leaning against the window with his arms crossed.
Scrolls and glowing orbs of data hovered around them as they quietly reviewed the next stage of their plan. Neither spoke much—the weight of recent events had left them uneasy.
"We can't delay any longer. If we wait, the window will close."
Horus finally said.
Elara didn't reply. She reached for another scroll, her brows drawn in tight thought.
But before either of them could continue, the ground trembled beneath their feet. A sharp, piercing alarm echoed across the divine realm.
The very walls shimmered with unstable mana as the emergency signal rang out louder and louder.
Both Elara and Horus snapped to attention.
"That's the central call. The kind they only use when something's gone terribly wrong."
Horus muttered, eyes narrowing.
Elara nodded once and without another word, the two vanished from the room in a flash of light.
