Chapter 91 - Chapter 91: The Marines' Dire Situation

Chapter 91: The Marines' Dire Situation

"Golden King" Donovan

"The Pirate Fleet led by Kosa has surrounded Navy Fortress G34."

"The Force led by that guy Donovan has surrounded Navy Fortress G39."

"Navy Fortress G38 is surrounded by the Force led by that Old Wolf, Quero."

"Navy Fortress G41 has been targeted by 'Death Gun'."

Four Navy Fortresses were targeted and surrounded by the Rocks Pirates' Forces, leaving no escape.

Kong now understood just how dire the situation was.

The Marine Vice Admiral defending Navy Fortress G34 is Admiral Candidate Cruyff, but he is no match for Kosa.

One must know that Kosa is a monster no weaker than Kong before he ate a Devil Fruit.

In the era before the Rocks Pirates were formed, Kong had clashed with Kosa multiple times.

Defending Navy Fortress G39 is Guardiola, the West Blue Governor.

The Four Seas Governors' strength ranks high among Marine Vice Admirals; each is at least an elite Vice Admiral or possesses quasi-Admiral combat power.

But before the Four Kings under Rocks' protection, monsters who were sea overlords even before the Rocks Pirates were established, they are simply not worth mentioning.

Similarly targeted by "Death Gun" Leon is the Base Commander of Navy Fortress G41, Munoz, the North Blue Governor.

Cruyff might still have a chance to be saved if he retreats, but there's truly no way to save these two, as they simply cannot hold out until Marine reinforcements arrive.

Frankly, Black wished for these Four Seas Governors to die in battle, but their death must be meaningful, not a pointless death in battle like this.

Defending Navy Fortress G38 is Admiral Candidate Ferdinand, who also cannot gain the upper hand against "Werewolf" Quero.

The Marines in the New World can currently be said to be completely overwhelmed.

At this moment, neither Black nor Kong knew what to do.

The five Navy Fortresses targeted by the Rocks Pirates cannot escape the destiny of being destroyed, which means the Marines will suffer losses of five high-end combat power.

Two of them are even Admiral Candidates.

This is merely the first wave of impact from the Rocks Pirates.

A deep sense of frustration and fear filled their hearts.

However, both were mentally resilient individuals and would not give up so easily, quickly recovering their spirits.

"We don't need to worry about the Legion personally led by Rocks for now. Kong, you go to Navy Fortress G38 to save Ferdinand. Neuer and De Gea, go to Navy Fortress G34 to save Cruyff."

"We must never give up as long as there's a glimmer of hope. Whether they can hold out until our reinforcements arrive depends on their luck."

Fleet Admiral Black immediately changed the original plan; saving people was the priority.

One Marine Admiral and two Admiral Candidates – if they could arrive in time, there was still hope.

As for the Rocks Pirates' Pirate Fleet, relying solely on two Marine Admirals was insufficient.

He was already preparing to request the World Government to deploy troops for reinforcements.

When the Rocks Pirates reach the Red Line, the World Government will have no choice but to deploy troops.

Even at this point, the World Government was still hiding its strength and not acting, leaving the Marines to bear everything.

Black was also getting angry, feeling very dissatisfied with the World Government.

However, the other two Governors were tacitly ignored by Black.

If they had to blame someone, they could only blame themselves for being too weak to hold out until Marine reinforcements arrived.

The Marines' combat power was limited, and they could only save the two with higher value.

Navy Fortress G39.

Golden light filled the sky.

West Blue Governor Guardiola was encased in a giant sphere made of gold.

This was a golden space, and also Donovan's golden domain.

At the top of the golden space, Donovan sat on his own golden throne.

The massive throne was fixed by golden chains connected to the edges of the space.

Donovan casually waved his arm, watching Guardiola below as if playing a game.

He controlled the gold, continuously attacking Guardiola.

The entire golden sphere rotated at high speed, constantly shifting between solid and liquid states, emitting extremely high temperature.

Golden spears rose from the ground.

Guardiola hurriedly dodged or used Haki to shatter the spears.

He could hold on for a short time, but Donovan's continuous, unpredictable golden offensive gave him no space to recover.

He constantly tried to find an opportunity to break through this golden space, but Donovan left no weakness.

The only weakness was Donovan himself, but he knew he was not Donovan's opponent.

This was a cage.

Whatever he did within the cage was like the struggle of a trapped beast; everything was futile.

Finally, the sound of battle outside the golden space disappeared.

Besides Guardiola, all the Marines in Navy Fortress G39 were killed.

Donovan also lost interest in playing.

"Everyone has a sweet dream about wealth. Let me turn it into reality and let them drown in it."

Throughout the golden space, scorching liquid gold surged from all directions, quickly engulfing Guardiola completely.

The irregularly flowing gold tore at Guardiola's body.

The strength from various directions made it difficult for Guardiola to resist.

The constantly rubbing gold also continuously generated scorching high temperature.

Only with such meticulous control ability could the Gold-Gold Fruit, originally a control type ability, touch upon the authority of creation, rather than simple assimilation.

Among the Four Kings, Donovan's strength was not the greatest, but he was the one the Marines and World Government feared the most.

When wealth reaches a certain level, the strength it can exhibit is extremely terrifying.

Guardiola felt as if he was in a lava pool.

Gradually, his body became unable to move.

Gold invaded his body, and his consciousness continuously sank.

The golden space gradually disappeared.

Streams of gold were retracted into Donovan's body along the chains.

In his place, only a golden statue remained, a statue of Guardiola.

"What's the situation now?"

Donovan asked a subordinate beside him.

He had people within the Intelligence Organization who would constantly relay the intelligence they obtained to him.

"Oh? Are the Marines that incompetent? Though, it's also within expectations."

Upon receiving the Rocks Pirates' battle results, Donovan laughed with a mix of surprise and mockery.

"What are the Marines' movements?"

"Admiral Steel Bone Kong has left the fortress. Admiral Candidates De Gea and Neuer have rendezvoused. Their movements are unknown."

Listening to his subordinate's intelligence, Donovan's eyes grew more contemptuous.

"Truly cowardly Marines."

"We'll go directly to Washington Kingdom."

"Aren't we dividing forces? Captain."

Donovan's order made the subordinate beside him a little confused.

After all, this was decided during the meeting.

If they failed and Captain Rocks found out, they would be in deep trouble.

"Hmph! Cowardly Marines wouldn't dare to engage in resistance with Rocks. Kong and those two Admiral Candidates are definitely targeting the four of us."

"And among the four Navy Officers worth saving, the ones with Kosa and Quero have nothing to do with us."

"The remaining Marines simply don't have the strength to stop us. Dividing forces might even lead to us being swallowed up by the angry Marines."

"In this situation, dividing forces is completely unnecessary."

Donovan, who came from a noble background, was not most terrifying because of his ability or his strength.

It was his wisdom.

He easily saw through the Marines' movements and changed the plan to make the best decision.

"Should we notify those two?"

"No need. It's better if they get caught. It saves me the annoyance of seeing them."

He wasn't that kind-hearted.

Even within the Rocks Pirates, their conflict was still considerable.

As for their connections, let alone being harmonious, if the others died, he would even hold a banquet to celebrate.
