Chapter 76 - 75: He Forgot Lin Yue

---

Inside the lavish Liang family mansion, the atmosphere was warm and serene.

The heavy wooden doors of the Liang Mansion opened silently, revealing the bright, grand dining hall where the entire Liang family; Old Master Liang at the head, Father Liang, Mother Liang and Liang Qianyu, was gathered around the massive antique dining table.

Warm lighting spilled from the crystal chandelier overhead, casting a soft glow across the polished floor.

The sound of heels on the polished floor echoed, and all heads turned as Mo Yuwei and Chen Linfei entered the grand dining hall.

Qianyu's eyes lit up immediately, her voice ringing with excitement. "Sister Yuwei is here!"

She stood up and strode toward them with a beaming smile.

Her glossy black hair cascaded down her back in soft waves, and she wore a pale pink designer dress that brought out her delicate features.

Mo Yuwei smiled faintly, "Qianyu."

Father and Mother Liang rose with pleasant smiles, and Old Master Liang chuckled heartily.

"Come, come, you both must join us for dinner!" Grandfather Liang's deep, aged voice came with a wave of his hand. His face crinkled in a joyful smile. "It's been a while since the house was this lively."

Chen Linfei smiled slightly in greeting. "Thank you for having us, Grandfather Liang."

"Sit down, both of you. You're all family. We've watched you grow up." Father Liang added warmly.

Mother Liang nodded and gestured toward the empty seats.

Mo Yuwei hesitated for a beat—she hadn't come for dinner, but it would be disrespectful to decline.

She shared a brief look with Chen Linfei before nodding. "Then we'll join you."

They took their seats, just as the kitchen staff brought out more utensils and side dishes.

At that moment, another set of footsteps echoed from the hallway. Liang Yexuan appeared, walking in with the casual grace of someone born into power.

As he took his seat, the staff moved quickly to place utensils in front of him.

Grandfather Liang chuckled. "Now this is what I call lively."

As the meal began again, conversation flowed easily.

Mo Yuwei placed a bite of fish into her mouth and then looked across the table.

"Yexuan," she said smoothly, her tone curious, "I heard you were involved in an accident. I wanted to visit, but I only just returned from abroad. How are you recovering?"

Old Master Liang sighed and responded before Yexuan could.

"He's recovering well, but… he lost a portion of his memories."

The chopsticks in Mo Yuwei's hand paused mid-air.

"Lost… memories?" Her voice remained composed, but her eyes held a flicker of disbelief. "That's serious. What happened exactly?"

"We still haven't found the culprit behind the accident," Father Liang added with a frown. "But the doctors are hopeful the amnesia might be temporary."

"That's unfortunate," she said quietly, offering a concerned look that masked the growing storm in her heart. Does he remember Lin Yue? Or has he forgotten everything about her?

She glanced across the table at Liang Qianyu, who had been watching her with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.

To redirect the attention, she asked Liang Qianyu. "And how was Italy? You must have had a wonderful experience."

Liang Qianyu beamed. "It was lovely. But even though Italy was beautiful, I missed home. I'm happy to be back."

"It's good you're back," Mo Yuwei said smiling.

Chen Linfei chimed in with a curious smile. "So now that you're back, what's next for you, Qianyu?"

The young lady hesitated, then answered with a bashful grin. "I want to become an actress."

Her mother, Shen Yujin's eyes lit up immediately. "As long as it makes you happy, dear."

Her father, Liang Zhenhua nodded. "You've always loved the arts. We support you."

But Grandfather Liang wasn't so easily impressed. His brows furrowed slightly. "Are you sure, Qianyu? The entertainment industry isn't what it seems. It's full of traps and temptations."

"I'm sure, Grandfather." Her voice was calm, certain. "It's my dream."

He stared at her for a moment longer, then sighed and gave a reluctant nod. "Very well. But remember who you are. You carry the Liang name. Don't let it corrupt your heart."

After the meal, Mo Yuwei stood up and pulled out a sleek black gift box. She walked over to Grandfather Liang.

She handed him the carefully wrapped box, inside which was a rare bottle of aged wine and tea leaves.

The old man's eyes gleamed with joy.

"Ah! You always know exactly what I like, Yuwei," he said, holding the bottle as if it were treasure.

Liang Qianyu giggled. "When I become an actress, I'll have to listen to Sister Yuwei's advice!"

Mo Yuwei nodded with a light laugh. "Then you better be prepared. I won't go easy on you."

After more small talk, Mo Yuwei and Chen Linfei rose to take their leave.

They exchanged goodbyes and walked outside into the cool night air.

Standing beside her car, Mo Yuwei let the calmness of the evening settle her raging thoughts.

"Let's go," she said to Chen Linfei in a low voice. "I'll tell you everything."

He gave her a firm nod and followed her lead. They both got into their cars, hers taking the lead.

They drove through the sparkling nightscape of the city, past luxury boutiques, towering skyscrapers, and rows of glowing streetlights.

Eventually, they reached their estate—Jingyun Imperial Garden, a secluded haven nestled among lush hills with cascading fountains, cobblestone driveways, and villas styled with European finesse.

The estate was the epitome of luxury and tranquility—each villa surrounded by manicured gardens, art sculptures, and tall pine trees that gave privacy and grandeur.

As they reached their compound, a sleek, modern villa with high glass walls and soft ambient lights, the guards opened the gate with a nod.

They parked and got out of their vehicles.

The night breeze carried the scent of jasmine from their flower beds.

She unlocked the front door, letting the scent of sandalwood and lavender greet her as they walked into the spacious, modern home.

Inside, the soft hum of air conditioning and the subtle ticking of the clock filled the silence.

She placed her purse down slowly, her voice almost a whisper.

"So Liang Yexuan... lost his memories."
