KODA'S POV
I kept my face carefully blank while the scribe read father's decree. The words hit the throne room like stones thrown into still water, sending ripples of confusion through the seven women standing before us. My hands remained folded in my lap, but my knuckles had gone white from the effort of staying still.
"Enemies of the Lamia must vacate the Lamia pack, as you are not Lamia."
The phrasing was deliberate. Every word chosen with surgical precision to create maximum confusion while technically remaining within the bounds of pack law. This wasn't the straightforward test of intelligence I'd expected when father had told me his plans. This was something else entirely.
