After the intense battles, the rest of the day felt… dull.
The crowd had mostly dispersed, the excitement faded. With the fights over, the four of us found a quiet place to talk—nothing special, just idle chatter to pass the time.
Tomorrow was the second round.
Out of 40 who had entered, only twenty remained.
Yawning, I stretched. The day had dragged on longer than expected. When it finally ended, we were teleported back to the castle.
Karina, exhausted from everything, had fallen asleep while still hugging me tightly. I carefully picked her up in my arms, making sure not to wake her. Her soft breathing was warm against my chest.
Fiona and Andrea followed silently behind us. Neither of them mentioned what had happened earlier with Karina—and I was glad for that. It wasn't something I wanted to discuss right now.
Andrea simply nodded toward me, then gestured to her room and quietly left.
Fiona gave a gentle smile, her hand raised in a small wave as she turned away.
