For those who find themselves drawn into this vast and layered world, this Lore Guide serves as a companion—a place to return to, to better understand the people, places, and elements woven throughout the story.

Though it was originally meant for the end, I realized how important it is to offer it early. Whether you're piecing together history, recalling a character, or exploring deeper meaning, the guide is here to support your journey.

Read at your own pace. Flip back when curious. Skip ahead when something calls to you. This world is full of secrets, and you're invited to discover them in your own way. I will update it as the story unfolds.

🌙 Main Character

Lira

Age: ~15–16

Personality: Quiet, intuitive, emotionally deep, and newly discovering her magical abilities.

Appearance:

Hair: Long, dark, wind-tossed with natural waves and often tangled with twigs.

Eyes: Glowing faintly, especially at night or under the full moon—moonlight on water.

Skin: Light with a sun-kissed bronze tone; hands rough from work with plants and earth.

Clothing: Practical layers from scavenged cloth, worn cloaks, and earthy-smelling shawls.

Accessories: Carries a pouch of dried herbs and trinkets; wears a talisman or vine-woven necklace.

Magical Abilities:

Nature Magic (Primary): Connection to plants, animals, soil. She can feel the pulse of life.

Healing Touch: Intuitively heals plants and animals by channeling energy through her hands.

Elemental Control – Vines: Emotionally charged vine magic; protective but volatile.

Moon Magic: Magic strengthens under the full moon—visions, empathy, healing.

Growth Arc:

Abandoned by her ashamed mother, raised by the forest.

Learning to balance raw power with emotional control.

Her journey is emotional, magical, and spiritual—caught between the forest's wisdom and the human world.

Home:

Forest Cottage – Evolved from a shelter into a sanctuary.

Lined with books and herbs.

Bundles hang from the rafters.

Air thick with the scent of boiling herbs and soft magic.

🧍‍♀️ Characters

Thara – Head herbalist and greenhouse guardian. Wears a dirt-streaked apron, wild orange curls. Calm and grounded. Once tested Lira with an "unhappy flower."

Ivvie – A sassy, tiny flower fairy. Queen of Bloomroot Grove (or the greenhouse corner). Only visible to those attuned to Earth. Teaches Lira in exchange for nectar.

Nareen – Earth element teacher. Sharp, no-nonsense. Pushes Lira to train intuition with discipline. Favors hands-on learning.

Grandmaster Elion – Powerful leader of the Sanctum. Carries mystery and wisdom. His bird familiar often signals turning points.

Mandra Inkwell – Stern librarian with a monocle. Respects magical books and governs the library. Key figure in Lira's journey with the Green Book.

Dominica – Assertive student with black hair. Tries to control situations and tested Lira with strange plants. Future conflict expected.

Gabriela – Elemental Foundations teacher. Graceful and wise, wears flowing blue robes. Teaches classical elements and natural cycles.

Master Anire – The Flame Listener. Fire teacher who values quiet strength and respect for flame. Helps students forge not just tools, but character.

🏛️ Places

Velmira Sanctum of the Elements – A magical academy where elemental and mystical arts are taught. Each area connects to elemental forces.

Sanctum Greenhouse – Magical garden within the academy. Contains rare and reactive plants. Earth students train here.

East Wing Greenhouse – Ancient, vine-wrapped area in the academy. Home to rare flora. Thick with old energy and subtle spirits. Overseen by Thara and the fairy guardian Murell.

Ivvie – Flower fairy (see Characters).

Murell – Dragonfly-winged greenhouse guardian. Sharp-tongued and tiny. Wears a bark-and-silk gown with a petal crown. Speaks in riddles, respects intention over power.

Lira's Bird Messenger – Silent, guiding presence. Communicates through gestures. A familiar of sorts, representing the unseen guidance on Lira's path.

Grandmaster Elion's Bird – Magnificent red-gold bird with a ribbon-like tail. Glows with ancient energy. A magical sentinel or spirit familiar.

🌿 Plants & Magical Objects

The Green Book – A living book of plant magic that chose Lira. Reveals secrets as her connection deepens. Central to her learning.

Whisperleaf – Only blooms for those truly attuned to Earth. Invisible to most.

Ice Lotus – Rare, icy flower that freezes unworthy touch. Resonates with Earth and Water.

Unhappy Flower – Drooped from separation; Lira reunited it with its bonded plant. Revealed her empathy with plant emotions.

Moonveil Flower – Legendary silver-glowing bloom that only flowers under moonlight and deep emotional safety. Symbol of hope, patience, and trust. Rarely seen since the war.

Fireleaf – Rare red-edged plant from volcanic regions. Used in salves for burns. Blooms with warmth—sunstone or ember-charged magic.
