The sun climbed slowly over the Saitanraj Kingdom, its light washing over the massive structure nestled in the Dark Forest—Heaven Defying Academy.
But today, there was a strange shift in the air.
The wind carried whispers, and the clouds hovered motionless above a particular spire located deep within the academy—the Forbidden Library.
It was the only structure that hadn't been fully explored by students. Not because it was locked, but because it simply couldn't be found… unless it wanted to be.
Until today.
Yuvan had been training in basic formation etchings behind the Flame Pavilion when he stumbled upon a strange set of steps behind a moss-covered arch.
Curious, he followed them.
They led to a large stone building, seemingly grown from the roots of the world itself. Towering pillars, etched with ancient runes, held up a dome that flickered between reality and illusion. Vines covered the walls like veins, and at the center was a simple wooden door with no handle, no keyhole.
Only an inscription carved by something beyond comprehension.
"Knowledge is the sharpest sword. It cuts through the heavens and stabs fate."
Yuvan stepped closer. As he did, the door creaked open silently, releasing a breath of time from a forgotten era.
He entered.
Inside, the temperature dropped. Dust particles floated in the air, but none landed on the shelves. Books—some glowing, others growling, and a few floating—lined the endless rows.
Scrolls with languages long dead, jade slips with eternal runes, and ink paintings that whispered secrets as you passed by.
Yuvan's eyes widened. "This place… it's alive."
Suddenly, a faint laugh echoed through the chamber. A robed figure appeared ahead—a man whose face couldn't be seen, only a shifting mask of past and future.
"I am the Keeper," the figure said. "You are the first in three hundred years to be recognized by the library."
Yuvan gulped. "Recognized?"
"You seek truth… not power. That is rare."
Books began to float toward Yuvan, forming a circle around him. One opened, and golden light shot into his forehead.
[Ding! The Book of Foundationless Dao has recognized your spirit.]
[You have awakened a hidden bloodline: The One Who Sees Origins.]
[New passive skill unlocked: 'True Insight'.]
Yuvan staggered as knowledge poured into his mind—of formations that built universes, of runes used in the creation of laws, of ancient cultivation paths long erased from mortal memory.
The Keeper floated closer. "This is only the first page of truth. But beware… knowledge gained without heart will become your doom."
Yuvan bowed. "I will remember."
Outside the library, Meiling sat atop the roof, nine tails curled lazily.
"He found it," she giggled. "This generation might actually be fun."
Below her, Dev Yadav looked up briefly from under the tree. His gaze pierced through space, watching Yuvan within the library.
"He took the first step," Dev murmured. "Now let's see if he survives the second."
Because the Forbidden Library held not just knowledge…But fragments of ancient beings sealed away. And they were beginning to stir.
