Chapter 44 - Kakashi's Short Sword

Kakashi's recovery brought Takemi's life back to normal.

Perhaps it was because he expressed his desire to apply for Chunin, Kakashi began to deliberately take him on more missions to increase his mission volume.

However, due to the Kirigakure issue, they were mainly operating around Konoha, which meant there wouldn't be any high-level missions.

Fortunately, Kakashi was also afraid he would be bored. Besides teaching him some Ninja knowledge, he also taught him many Ninjutsu.

This could be considered adding bricks and mortar to Takemi's 'path to redemption'.

"Your learning ability is really fast."

In a Konoha training ground, Kakashi bought a double popsicle and sat next to Takemi, breaking the popsicle in half and handing it over.

"But why are you learning so many Ninjutsu? I think you should focus your energy on the Flying Thunder God Technique, or expand upon your Purple Electricity."

Speaking of Purple Electricity, Kakashi always felt strange because he felt this Ninjutsu seemed very suitable for him.

It not only combined the characteristics of Chidori but also upgraded it, reaching a level of offense and defense in one.

If it weren't for the fact that his Sharingan seemed to be consuming Chakra more and more, he would have considered learning it.

"Haven't I already expanded on it?"

Takemi was not polite. He took the popsicle and said with a smile, "But now, my main task is still to focus my energy on the Flying Thunder God Technique."

Kakashi asked, "Then why are you still learning so many Ninjutsu?"

Takemi said, "It's just to expand my methods a bit, it's not difficult anyway."

Not difficult...

Kakashi didn't want to talk to Takemi anymore. It was as if he could copy thousands of Ninjutsu only because he had the Sharingan.

Takemi didn't learn that many or that varied Ninjutsu, and he only focused on Lightning Release, Fire Release, and Earth Release.

But his learning speed was truly unbelievable.

For a moment, he even felt that the title of 'Copy Ninja' seemed more suitable for this kid?

After all, Takemi learned his swordsmanship right in front of him.

"Kakashi-sensei, why aren't you eating?"

While Kakashi was thinking, Takemi looked at him curiously and then smiled.

"Speaking of which, why do you always wear a mask? Are you shy?"

"It's just a habit."

Kakashi shook his head, ignoring Takemi's question, and spoke thoughtfully, "Right, what weapon are you good at? Are you used to using a short sword?"

"Short sword?"

Takemi felt a bit strange. He turned his head, holding the popsicle in his mouth, looking at the sky, wondering if Kakashi was planning to give him that broken sword?

...That wasn't impossible.

If he remembered correctly, Kakashi's short sword seemed to have pretty good Chakra conductivity. Coupled with his Purple Electricity, it should have a better effect?

"I think it's fine, Kakashi-sensei."

Thinking this, Takemi turned his head back, but his expression immediately became startled.

Because Kakashi had already lowered his head and was reading 'icha icha paradise', and the stick of the popsicle was already stuck in the ground.

"No way, you finished it already?"

"It's just half a popsicle, not much."

Kakashi looked at Takemi in confusion, then nodded. "Since you can use it, I'll prepare a gift for you in a few days."

Takemi hadn't guessed wrong. Kakashi really had this idea.

Because of the Sharingan, he had changed his fighting style. In his past understanding, Obito had died because of him, and he carried Obito's eye.

He naturally hoped to maximize the value of this eye to pay some sort of tribute to Obito, even though his body could not quite bear the consumption of the Sharingan.

Although there had been some reversal now, this, to some extent, strengthened some of his thoughts.

Obito was a hero, not a malevolent spirit wandering the world aimlessly. His Sharingan was the best proof of Obito.

And Takemi seemed to have learned his Kenjutsu, and he was also his disciple. So why not give him the sword he no longer used?

Just consider it a gift from him as a teacher?

"But that sword is broken, it needs to be repaired first..."

Kakashi rubbed his chin, then closed his book and stood up.

"Alright, you continue training slowly. Think carefully about the Flying Thunder God Technique, or expand your Lightning Release. I'm going to prepare your gift."

"No way, he's leaving already..."

Looking at Kakashi's retreating back, Takemi shrugged and no longer dwelled on it. He really should focus his energy on other aspects now.

[Name: Kitagawa Takemi]

[Age: 13]

[Bloodline: Ōtsutsuki (13%)]

[Total Chakra: S (Above average Kage level)]

Opening the panel, Takemi glanced at it and nodded silently in his heart.

Although his Chakra growth was relatively calm after obtaining Kimimaro's Yang Release, this calmness was only relative.

Moreover, he himself was constantly working hard, not being lazy at night, and getting familiar with Senjutsu. His growth naturally hadn't stopped.

"Work harder, and when the development reaches 15%, the Chakra should increase again, and..."

While thinking, he suddenly pulled out a kunai. Along with a slight fluctuation of Chakra, a strange mark appeared on the kunai.

The uniqueness of the Ōtsutsuki bloodline lay in this.

As long as something was compatible with his bloodline or already possessed similar abilities...

Then, as long as there was a relatively clear direction, his exploration and development would become simple, because Chakra control was like instinct to him.

This trait would become more and more obvious as the bloodline development increased.

"Spatial ability is inherently possessed by the Ōtsutsuki, and Chakra control is also simple for me, so..."

Looking at the mark on the kunai, Takemi showed a smile, but soon shook his head again.

"It's still too crude, maybe the exploration isn't deep enough, but..."

Takemi seemed to remember that Obito had a Flying Thunder God Technique mark on his back.

The marks of the Flying Thunder God Technique seemed to be interconnected, even if the marks were slightly different.

He didn't know if it was his own issue or if it was originally like this, but at least he could feel it.

The last time he encountered Obito, he couldn't perceived spatial power, so naturally, he couldn't detect the Flying Thunder God mark.

But now it was different!

Of course, he probably couldn't do anything about marks that were too far away.

After all, for him, the Flying Thunder God Technique could only be considered something he had just gotten started with through sweat and effort.

But if he was in close-range, the situation would naturally be different.

"Hmm?"

While thinking, Takemi suddenly felt his eyelids twitch. He knew his system probably had another mission.

[Obtain New Side Mission]

[Cut Through the Darkness of the Ninja World, Soaring Through Space]

[Objective: Take a Mission to Kirigakure. Let Obito Feel the Might of the Flying Thunder God Technique]

"..."

Looking at this mission, Takemi was dumbfounded.

After a while, he raised his head and looked at the towering Hokage Rock in the distance, his mouth twitching slightly.

"No way, this is possible too?"
