It had been a week since Jett's first ballroom lesson. With Mia's leg hooked against his hip, he locked eyes with her shimmering gaze and knew she understood the feelings he had tried to convey. The system confirmed it, and even Noctlisa must have glimpsed that same truth—though whatever the dullahan maid thought remained a mystery for another day.
"Guess I'm at least average now the quest's done," he said, releasing Mia's thigh and stepping back to give her room.
She shook her head. "No, Master Jett stands well above average. Your dance displayed your character in full."
Does that mean I need a brand‑new finale? I can tell I'm getting too close at the end… or maybe that closeness is the point. In any case, I doubt I'll dance with any other men—obviously I won't.
