"What?!"
James and Weaver, who had been caught in the heart of the chaos, collapsed to the ground, too terrified to move.
They were drenched in the blood and brain matter of the Flying Wolf, Ralph.
Worse still, they'd narrowly avoided being crushed several times when Jack slammed the massive crocodile, Liz, around like a ragdoll.
By some miracle, they'd survived. It felt unreal.
Even more astonishing was the fight they had just witnessed.
Miraluz had taken on the three rampaging beasts—alone—and won with terrifying ease.
His strength was overwhelming.
These were the same beasts that had decimated the American forces and thrown Chicago into panic. Yet here they were, slaughtered like common prey at Miraluz's hands.
"This one's tough. Still breathing," Jack muttered, eyeing the twitching body of Liz, the giant crocodile.
He casually dragged the beast's battered form to the edge of a deep pit and flipped it over, exposing its pale underbelly.
RIP—
Without hesitation, he drove his steel scythe-like claws into its abdomen.
One swift pull, and the belly tore open, spilling steaming organs and a flood of blood onto the earth.
This time, no matter how strong Liz's life force had been, it was like a candle in a hurricane—flickering, then gone.
Silence. No more movement.
[You have hunted an Mutant American alligator (exotic beast) and earned 10,000 gene points.]
[Gene analysis complete. Traits extracted: Alligator Gene: Bone Armor (Lv. 1), Shark Gene: Unlimited Growth (Lv. 1), Blue Whale Gene: High-Speed Growth (Lv. 1), Wild Boar Gene: Giant Tusks (Lv. 1), African Spiny Mouse Gene: Rapid Self-Healing (Lv. 1)]
"Jackpot."
Defeating all three beasts had earned Jack 14,000 gene points. An unexpected but welcome bonus.
[Ding! "Rampage" quest cleared. Reward: 3 × Rampage Potion.]
[Rampage Potion: A genetically-engineered serum from the movie Rampage. Fuses multiple animal genes to trigger powerful mutations in target creatures.]
Another notification echoed in his mind.
'Rampage Potion?' Jack raised an eyebrow.
Now this... this was valuable.
Not for himself—he already had a vast library of genetic data—but for the dinosaurs of the Jurassic Alliance, it was priceless.
These potions could help them evolve, fusing multiple animal traits like the three mutant beasts had.
"Humans?"
Only now, as the smoke cleared and the battlefield settled, did Jack notice James and Weaver lying nearby.
He hadn't even registered them during the fight, like a person ignoring ants underfoot.
But now they were trembling wrecks, clearly overwhelmed by the violence they had witnessed.
They looked oddly familiar.
"Wait... aren't those guys supposed to be Loki and Captain Marvel?"
"The thought passed through Jack's mind like a glitch in the matrix. Don't tell me this world is also tied into the Marvel Universe? That would be insane."
But a closer look told him the truth: they were just regular people.
Civilians. They'd collapsed in terror the moment the fight started, and hadn't moved since.
Nearby, the wreckage of a Black Hawk helicopter smoldered.
Its fuselage bore a distinctive funnel-shaped emblem, marked with the word:
MONARCH.
The shadowy group with its hands in every major kaiju event on record.
Jack finally recognized them—these two humans were members of the Monarch Organization from the MonsterVerse.
What are Monarch agents doing on Isla Sorna?
Were they here tracking the three rampaging beasts? Or were they after him—and the Jurassic dinosaurs?
Whatever their purpose, Jack didn't care.
He had no intention of allowing humans to monitor his territory, and that included the so-called Monarch Organization.
"How can you expect to sleep peacefully with someone lying beside your bed?"
That old saying echoed in his mind.
James and Weaver had just managed to crawl out of the rubble, dazed and filthy.
But then, a chill ran down their spines.
They looked up, only to see the burning red eyes of Miraluz staring straight at them.
A moment later, a massive dragon foot, like the limb of Optimus Prime himself, descended like a pillar from the heavens.
It crashed with unstoppable force, snuffing out their lives as easily as stepping on ants.
With that minor threat eliminated, Jack focused on cleaning up the battlefield.
He dragged the corpses of the three mutant beasts into a pile and began feasting.
[You consumed Mutant crocodile flesh. Gene points +1.]
As expected, the mutated meat of these beasts was worth more gene points than usual.
Jack planned to haul the rest back to Isla Nublar for later consumption—no reason to waste good material.
While devouring the raw meat and drinking its blood, Jack reviewed his harvested gene traits.
The most notable was his earlier kill: the albino gorilla, George.
The useful ones?
[Silverback Gorilla Gene: Muscle Density (Lv. 1)]
This trait increased the weight and compactness of muscle fibers. The denser the muscle, the harder it became, reaching a point where it could rival steel in toughness.
With this gene, Jack's body could shrug off bullets and withstand direct explosive impacts.
With his skin and bones already reinforced, Jack's transformation progressed rapidly.
His body now boasted steel-plated skin on the outside and steel-hardened bones within, so it was natural that his muscles couldn't be left behind.
If he could push his muscle density to match the strength of steel, his entire body would transcend the limitations of flesh and blood—no longer bound by the fragility of carbon-based life.
Like a living tank, skin, muscle, and bone would form three layers of composite armor.
His defenses would be stacked to the extreme.
The Beetle Gene—"Hundredfold Explosive Power (Lv. 1)"—was a game-changer.
Despite their small size, beetles can lift over 100 times their weight.
This raw strength comes from their unusually complex muscle tissue: densely packed fibers loaded with explosive potential.
Combined with the Silverback Gorilla Gene's"Muscle Density (Lv. 1)", the synergy was clear.
Both genes enhanced his musculature, offering not just brute force but also increased resistance to external damage. Jack had no intention of missing out on either.
Next came the animal genes harvested from Flying Wolf Ralph.
The most valuable among them was the Gray Wolf Gene, specifically:
"Endurance Boost (Lv. 1)"
This trait strengthened key internal organs—the heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys.
The heart and lungs improved oxygen flow, allowing his body to perform longer without fatigue.
The liver and kidneys enhanced metabolic function, reducing strain during high-intensity exertion.
The result? Sharply increased stamina and sustained combat potential.
Finally, from the giant crocodile Lizzie, the standout was the African Spiny Mouse Gene:
"Rapid Self-Healing (Lv. 1)"
This incredible trait allowed the spiny mouse to shed large portions of its skin to escape predators, like a gecko sacrificing its tail.
But what made it remarkable was its regeneration: the lost tissue—including sweat glands, hair follicles, even cartilage—regrew quickly, leaving almost no scars.
Jack was impressed. Together, these genes shored up his current weaknesses—muscle strength, internal endurance, and recovery.
They brought him closer to his ultimate goal.
To become a hexagonal warrior—a creature balanced in all attributes:
– Strength. Defense. Constitution. Agility. Intelligence.
– Refining the skin, flesh, tendons, bones, and organs.
– Dominating melee, ranged, and support combat roles.
– Mastering land, air, and sea.
Only a creature that excelled in all areas could be called the ultimate lifeform.
"Fusion!"
After devouring the beast's meat and quenching his thirst with blood, Jack initiated the integration process.
One by one, he merged the carefully selected genes into his body.
He then spent gene points to upgrade them, forcing his physiology through another massive leap forward.
His body crackled with power.
A new evolution had begun.
