JOY'S POV
I woke up earlier than I used to on a normal day, to me it signified the day was going to be pleasant. I got dressed and while eating breakfast, I saw our new neighbor, Emily and Aaron walking to school together. At first I was okay with it but when Emily left and drove with her parent, seeing the new neighbor and Aaron walk alone, together made my blood boil. I skipped breakfast and followed them silently [even though my school was in the opposite direction] trying to listing to their conversation but I couldn't hear a thing.
Aaron turned his head once or twice but he was still clueless. I followed them across every street, into every corner and I couldn't still hear a thing. I finally heard a little when a huge man asked for my student identification card. That was when I realized I was at the school gate. I told him I didn't attend that school and surprisingly he let me walk away.
I then realized I was far away from my school. I turned and walked in a faster pace, I got lost at a point but I got to school 20minutes late for my first class breathless. I quickly caught my breath and when I got to class everyone was seated and the teacher was teaching.
Mrs. Lavender, the English teacher came towards me with a strong face. Before I could explain {even though I didn't really have an explanation} she sent me out and told me to write an essay stating why she should still allow me to stay in her class.
I waited outside until the class was over. Violet my closest friend at school came rushing and hugged me.
"Let's go eat I'm hungry" she said holding her stomach. We walked to the cafeteria with Travis her boyfriend.
"Why did you come so late? You know lavender hates you" she said curious.
"I know, I had work to do" I said remembering the essay.
"Now you have more work to do "she said laughing.
She also told me the fifth sequel of our favorite horror movie was out and Travis bought four tickets. I was excited but the thought of third wheeling them discouraged me.
"I really want to see it but I can't third wheel you guys" I said.
"I knew you would say that so I brought one extra ticket. Invite anyone" she said joyfully. She gave me two tickets and I was happy.
I asked some of my friends but they were busy. Ii ran out of ideas and decided to ask Aaron. I went to his house after school to ask him. I was had second thoughts but after careful consideration I rang his doorbell.
I waited and waited and finally our new neighbor answered. I was shocked to see her she said her name but it didn't stick. I asked for Aaron and he came when she called. I invited to watch a movie with me on Saturday and he agreed. I gave him the tickets and told him to meet me outside by four and left.
