Chapter 49 - Bio-Battery Development

Chen Mo gently pushed the door open and stepped inside. The carbon crystal soundproof door was nearly silent, making almost no noise as it swung open.

Tian Tian was absorbed in reviewing company documents, completely focused.

Given how quiet the door was, she didn't even notice the unexpected visitor.

Chen Mo walked up to her desk and glanced at her. She was dressed in sheer black stockings and a business suit—black blazer over a blouse, paired with a short skirt. Her pale legs encased in glossy black tights were hard to look away from.

Chen Mo couldn't help but steal a few more glances, then smiled to himself. Red Queen had been right—Tian Tian really did love wearing black stockings. Every single time he'd seen her, she was in them. Never once had she broken that pattern.

Even just seeing her in profile while she focused on paperwork, she still looked stunning—her aura as a strong female CEO was undeniably captivating.

"I heard from He Xiaoxiao that you've been really busy lately," Chen Mo said softly as he approached, alerting her to his presence.

Tian Tian paused, then looked up. When she saw it was Chen Mo, her eyes lit up, practically writing the word delight across her forehead.

"Chen Mo? What are you doing here?"

"Can't I just stop by to see you?" Chen Mo smirked.

"Of course you can. I'm more than happy to see you," she replied warmly. She then got up and walked to the coffee table in her high heels, the click-clack echoing across the room as she poured him a cup of tea.

"But seeing how exhausted you are, it really worries me," Chen Mo said calmly.

"You're worried about me?" Tian Tian blushed a little.

"Of course. If you collapse, who's going to keep running Black Domain Tech?"

"You… evil! You capitalist tyrant, always exploiting me…" Tian Tian huffed, her chest rising and falling visibly—clearly flustered by his remark.

Chen Mo chuckled as he took the tea and sat in Tian Tian's chair, swinging his legs up onto the desk in a rather exaggerated manner.

He tilted his head back, letting the warm tea slide down his throat. The flavor—sweet with a hint of bitterness—spread across his taste buds.

"Just kidding earlier."

"But I'm seriously worried about you."

"I heard you've been practically living at the office and barely sleeping. That's too much. Don't let it happen again. Health is the foundation of everything. If we're short-staffed, hire more people. If this continues, I'll have to seriously lecture you."

Listening to someone five or six years younger than her speak so seriously made Tian Tian feel a mix of embarrassment and warmth. Surprisingly, there was no discomfort in being "lectured" by someone younger—his tone felt more like a caring family member.

"I've been this busy because someone here doesn't lift a finger for the company and dumps all the work on me."

"Haha.."

Chen Mo let out an awkward laugh, then picked up the documents on the table and began reviewing them. With over 30% of his brain unlocked, processing company paperwork was a breeze—he barely needed to think. In just a few seconds, he could finish a file and jot down his approval notes.

Tian Tian's jaw nearly dropped. She usually took several minutes to go through each one, but Chen Mo was breezing through them?

She even double-checked his work—only to find his comments were flawless, possibly even better than her own.

What kind of monster is this guy?

"How are you so fast?" she asked, stunned.

"I could be even faster," Chen Mo said, grinning with a bright smile. "I'm just holding back so I don't scare you."

"...You're so full of it."

"I've finished the paperwork. So how's the company doing?"

"Initial sales of Hatsune have already pulled in 100 billion. The bio-battery is in development, and we've already created a lab prototype." At the mention of work, Tian Tian snapped back into her CEO mode, casually tying her hair up behind her head with a practiced motion that made her look sharp and professional.

"Oh? You've already tried using the bio-battery? How's it performing?" Chen Mo asked. To be honest, he wasn't exactly sure how good the battery was. The tech came from Red Queen's core systems—a piece of black technology he hadn't examined closely. But it couldn't possibly be bad.

"It's revolutionary. I've had one installed in my phone—it's been three days without charging, and I still have 50% left. It's estimated to last about a week per charge," she replied, visibly excited.

Chen Mo was even more thrilled.

Right now, nearly every phone on the market used lithium batteries and needed to be charged daily. A phone that only needed charging once a week? That would be a game-changer.

Imagine this—

If there were a phone on the market that needed charging just once a week, who would still want a daily-charge phone?

As long as Black Domain Tech built a production line for bio-batteries, they could sweep into the energy market like a monstrous dragon—unstoppable and overwhelming.

Bio-batteries were disruptive.

Phones, electric scooters, EVs—any product relying on batteries would be upended.

Lithium-ion tech would be obsolete.

And Black Domain Tech would dominate the entire market—a market worth trillions. Of course, this would bring danger. With bio-batteries threatening so many industries, the entrenched capitalists wouldn't just sit by. Once they launched a coordinated counterattack, that would be the real challenge.

This incoming storm would be far more terrifying than the Tian family's Dihao Group.

Still—

Chen Mo wasn't afraid. He was playing the long game. As long as Black Domain Tech secured military-grade licenses and developed ties to the armed forces, no amount of corporate opposition could stop him.

"Excellent."

"Take me to the lab. I want to upgrade my phone to use the bio-battery. And while I'm there, I'll show you a new piece of black tech."

"What kind of tech?" Tian Tian blinked in surprise.

"You'll see soon enough," Chen Mo replied with a smile, then headed to the ninth floor of the Black Domain Tech building—the state-of-the-art lab they had spent a fortune constructing.
