Sariah had left us after a few minutes of staring. It seemed that what she had come to see had not happened at all.
It was clear from a glance that she was expecting some kind of reaction from Morgana toward me, something related to Romie.
There was only one possible reason for that: she had been following me.
I knew that she didn't like me particularly or… at all, for that matter. But for her to follow me in hopes that Morgana would come to hate me or do something of the sort was crazy. It was a good thing that I had tamed her already, or things could have actually taken a wrong turn here.
But luckily, Morgana was mine, and there was nothing she could do about it. The moment I had her in my embrace, all that tension disappeared in the blink of an eye.
"Don't worry. I would never leave you behind…" I muttered in her ear as I saw her visibly blush once again.
