It's been three days since he rescued Elle from the port. The girl was pretty shaken but she went back to normal after two days thanks to uncle John's asian raising program.
She visited Glenn with uncle John more frequently these past few days. Glenn even told them to move to his penthouse permanently. However, uncle John didn't accept and insisted they would just visit more often.
Since uncle John insist, he drag Elle to a corner and gave her a small bag. Glenn made her to promise him to only open the bag if she encountered something like the last incident. Looking at the seriousness of Glenn's face, Elle nodded.
What Elle didn't know was, the bag contains life saving devices. It contains rare dials from one piece, a small den-den Mushi, and two bottles of Mansherry's tears and a note of instructions on how to use them. These items were bought from the Shop a long time ago since he started his mercenary career. He also told John to enroll Elle in a martial arts school for self defense and he will pay for it. Luckily for him, he still have the contact number of the martial arts instructors who taught him before. After some convincing words, John finally relented and Elle accepted.
Then Elle and John left as they were headed to Elle's school to handle some things for resuming Elle's classes. Now that he was alone once more, he finally had the time to check the reward he had forgotten.
He opened his system and selected the Quest tab.

Right after seeing this, Glenn quickly felt another surge of information inside his mind and he could completely felt every fiber of his muscles squirming. He didn't feel any pain but it felt odd. This lasted for almost five minutes before it stopped.

Glenn selected the Life Return on his profile panel and it expanded its description. He did this just to make sure it was the skill he thought it was.
Life Return (Seimei Kikan) is a technique that grants the user complete control over all of their body parts and bodily functions. Even parts that cannot normally be controlled, such as hair. It can also control the involuntary functions, such as digestion.
Seeing this, he couldn't help but smile. From now on, his attacks are going to be more deadly and unpredictable. The more important thing is, he doesn't need to exercise anymore since he can digest any amount of food he ingest including sea king meat that has a lot of energy to strengthen himself. And it doesn't need to take a long time like before, where he have to grind in excercise before he explode.
As a matter fact, he can just manipulate his muscles to stay fit in a perfect lean greek mascular body. Despite this, he still decided to continue his morning excercise routine for two reasons. First, it already became a habit and second, his daily quest still gave him points to save. He can only thank the system for generating a quest in sync with his situation and according to his needs.
Glenn checked his points for a brief moment. His spirit lighten up when he saw it was already over 20,000 points. With this. he only needed around 26,000 points in order to reach his 50,000 points goal. His target is the Basic Armament Haki he saw from the shop. Once he acquired that skill, he will be impervious to bullets and he will be able to go toe to toe with many Marvel characters. Sure he will be able to do that with Tekkai but it lacks mobility and offensive fire power compared to armament haki.
Satisfied with what he have for now, he quickly turned his attention to the upcoming holidays. There's going to be Thanksgiving Day this coming week and then there's Christmas so he gotta prepare some gifts for Elle, John and Daisy. He even decided to buy some gifts for the building's staff in his penthouse. Just a little gift and couple cash as presents.
But he suddenly received a strange assignment through his phone notification connected to his dark web mercenary account.
The request is an assassination operation. The interesting thing is, the client already paid in full and the target location is in a secret casino within Beverly Hills, Californa. The target's name was a millionaire named Edward Acra.
Receiving this sketchy mission, he quickly forwarded it to Daisy for a counter check and additional information about the target.
A few minutes later he received a call from his den-den mushi.
Peri peri peri peri
After accepting the call, he heard Daisy on the other line.
"The guy you forwarded was 'green'. This guy is really a millionaire. He killed his own father at the age of 21 and inherited the wealth his father left. There's not a lot of substantial information I can gather online except that he is an assassin. I already forwarded the details of his address and the schedules, the time and day he always went into his own casino."
"I see, thank you, Daisy. 10% Like the last time?"
"Yeah, and please don't mention my true name over the phone. The Feds are hot on our tail right now. Our Rising Tide organization is in lay low. You never know if those guys are listening to us right."
"You know that's impossible, right? My number is completely untraceable even with satellite."
"Yeah, I always wonder how you do that?"
"Be my official team and I'll tell you. Hehehe. I got some connections in the White House. Cops won't touch you as long as I'm alive."
"... Sigh, I'll think about it."
"You already said that last time."
"Yeah, I know. Just give me some time."
"Anytime, Skye. You know my number."
"Okay, Handyman. Over and out."
After the call ended, Glenn quickly went to his laptop and checked the files sent by Daisy.
He reviewed the files and decided to take it seriously. He felt something odd about this assignment so he's not going take any chances even for a small error.
Since he is going to be busy these upcoming holidays, he decided that this'll be the last mission he will undertake this year and resume working next year.
He went for a quick shower and wore a pair of elegant suit, his standard uniform when working. He also checked his arsenal of firearms in his inventory in case of emergency. Shotgun was fully loaded, magnum revolver was full. He checked the three grenades and his combat knife.
He checked himself in a mirror making sure everything is in order as he went towards the elevator.
One hour later, he stopped the car in front of a restaurant bar but it wasn't simple as it appears outside. He went inside and sat in one of the stool. When the bartender asked what he wanted to drink, Glenn replied in a strange manner.
"Sir, what would you like to drink?"
"Give me, a bloody mary with three cherries."
"Give me moment, sir."
The bartender went to the telephone and dialed a number. A few moments later, he came up to Glenn and said, "Follow me closely, sir."
Glenn stood up from his seat and followed the bartender. He was led to the kitchen at the back and then they turned left in which they face an iron door. The bartender, knocked a few times in a rhythmic pattern before someone from the inside opened the gate. After Glenn went inside, the bartender was left outside. Glenn and the gate keeper pass through some corridors until they end up in an open space full tables and people gambling. He estimated the number of people will be around 200 to 300, they all look wealthy based on their posture and appearance. The strange thing is, there are cages all over the place. Animals and people alike has been imprisoned on either side of the place. He went to change a few of his cash into chips and then randomly sat on a nearby poker table.
With help of his ability to hear the thoughts of the people, he managed to win a few millions.
As he observed more, he couldn't help but glance at the wealthy people who seems to be in trance. The more they play, the more they lose and getting desperate. To the point that they offer their sons, daughters or even partners as a wager in hopes of recovering what they lost through gamble.
Then out of the corner of his eye, he saw his target. A man in a white suit and auburn hair. He held a walking stick as he watch the people in amusement. He smiled in a sadistic manner everytime a gambler was lost in despair.
Beside him was a woman with a short hair. She wore a typical office attire and had a poker face. Contrary to Edward, she doesn't seem to care as if everything around her has nothing to do with her.
Around the two were a bunch of bodyguards in black suits as they look around vigilantly. Ready to pounce at any time a mishappen occur.
Fearing he might startle the prey, he controlled his face muscle to grow a beard and silently sunken his face. Then he inched closer to them finding right spit for ambush.
As he was walking closer to them, his eyes were on the poker table as if he was interested of who's winning. He heard his target say in a low voice.
"Are the mutants ready for my Murderworlds?"
"Yes, boss.", the woman said.
"Then move them over later so I can relish myself in what I call true entertainment."
"We might be expecting some visitors, boss."
"Oh you mean those mutants in Xavier school? Let them come, haha the more the better. Let's prepare a welcoming gift for them, shall we."
"As you wish, boss."
When Glenn heard that they were about to leave, he wasted no time and pull a gun from inventory and started firing. At this time, he already returned his face to normal.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
His bullets found their place on Edward's bodyguards. Their foreheads had an additional hole as they drop to the ground.
The crowd panicked and all of the guests scrambled their way towards the exit.
Glenn raised his gun towards Edward but he didn't fire yet. Edward was shaking in the face of death while the woman beside him already collapsed, sitting on the ground, covering her head.
A few minutes later there only a few people left inside. Glenn, Edward, the woman called Locke and the people in the cage who wasn't able to run. Except for Glenn, they all look terrified.
"Hello there Mr. Edward, I'm—"
"I know who you are! My business partners have once took your service. Are you here to kill me, Mr. Handyman?" Edward said trying to sound brave in his voice.
"Well, since you know me, I'm probably sure you know why I am here, right?"
Edward swallowed hard and said, "So it is my time, huh? Who is it who wants my head?"
Glenn shrugged
"I don't know either. You know in this kind of work, confidentiality is vital. Besides, the client didn't reveal a real name."
"So why didn't you pull the trigger yet?"
"I have a few questions to ask, you may refuse to answer them but I'm going to get my answer anyway. In exchange, I'll drop you the code name of the client. Deal?"
"So... where are the mutants you've mentioned? The ones on your custody?" Glenn asked seriously.
