Hearing the tone of a stern elder questioning, Bella Green felt inexplicably guilty.
Even though she thought she was right, after all, she did hit someone else's brother...
"He insulted me, even wanted to throw me out, and said he'd beat me to death," Bella said, feeling aggrieved.

She hits someone yet acts like a victim, leaving Mason Bennett unable to vent his anger, and instead finding the little one's expression rather amusing.
Though thinking this, he couldn't let her develop the bad habit of fighting.
"If he bullies you, you can tell me."
"Tattling is something only primary school kids do," Bella said, looking disdainful.
Mason was somewhat helpless; the little one was quite stubborn, but that was good too—she wasn't delicate, and she behaved more like a boy.
