Terry woke up with a bit of tiredness but he quickly gained his awareness back and got up the couch he was using as a bed.
He got up and went to see if they have something to eat in the dormitory but he saw that there was a kitchen but it didn't look like it was finished.
So he decided to go outside and find a bending machine with snacks and drinks.
Thanks to his body modifications he doesn't need much food to eat but he won't say no to normal food.
After finding some bending machines and getting his breakfast he realized something.
This looked like it was from the past. People using flip phones and not to mention Makoto's ear phones looked like from the early 2000's.
So he decided to walk around and ask people questions and he found out the year was 2009.
This explains why the current technology is not the one he knows.
But this means that he's trapped in an alternate past or the actual past.
Because he heard students talking a gekokkan high school and he doesn't remember hearing about a school like that.
He decided to put that aside and go back to the dorms and when he entered he saw the sees group searching around the place.
Yukari: where were you!? We thought you ran off!
Terry: where is there for me to go? I just got out to get some breakfast.
Junpei: wait how did you not cause a commotion when you look like that!
Terry: that's because.
Just after that a man came from down stairs and joined the conversation.
Shuji: what's with the shouting? Is something wrong?
Mitsuru: Mr.chairman wait.
Shuji:mmm?
Just then Shuji caught sight of Terry and the sees group expected him to be a bit freaked out but instead.
Shuji: oh is this a new roommate?
Terry: nah boss I'm just crashing here for a while.
Shuji: how curious mitsuru told me that you helped yamagishi through the dark hour is that right?
Terry: yup. And my name is Terry or t either one is fine by me.
Shuji: ah I see that's very "terrific".
Terry cringed at the terrible pun.
Terry: for the love of god no.
Shuji just laughed at his expense mean while the sees group were confused.
Junpei: uuh ikkutsuki why are not freaking out?
Shuji: mmm? What's there to freak out about?
Akihiko: well his ears his black skin and red eyes are a bit creepy.
Shuji looked at Terry for a moment and looked back at the sees group.
Shuji:I don't see any ears black skin nor red eyes. It's this your attempt at a joke sanada?
The sees group were surprised at that.
Mitsuru: Mr chairman are you saying that you can't see Terry's mutations?
Shuji: no he looks normal to me.
Terry decided to explain why Shuji can't see him normally like the others.
Terry: I can tell that Mr. Ikkutsuki doesn't have that persona ability to him I look like a normal human but since you guys have some spiritual awareness you can see my true form.
Makoto: so you're saying that to normal people you look normal?
Terry: yup. Now then before you start interrogating me is Fuuka okay?
Mitsuru: yes we sent her to a hospital as soon as the dark hour ended.
Terry: that would explain why you weren't here.
Mitsuru: well if that's all let's go to the lounge on the third floor.
Terry didn't bother resisting since he's in a different dimension his identity as a fugitive was non existent.
They got to the lounge area and the sees group sat away from him he didn't react he was used to some people react like that.
Mitsuru: so to start who are you really.
Terry: my name is Terry no last name.
Mitsuru: why is that?
Terry: I want nothing to do with my parents.
That took the sees group for a loop.
Mitsuru: that aside why do you look like that.
Terry: how about you answer my questions and then I'll consider answering yours.
Akihiko: don't change the sub-
Mitsuru stopped Akihiko before he could finish.
Mitsuru: that's fine so Terry you really don't know what the dark hour is?
Terry: no that's the first time I even experienced it and not to mention what where those black blobs with masks?
Mitsuru: those were shadows our enemy they mostly roam around in Tartarus and rarely leave.
Terry: what about those big ones? Akihiko said that this wasn't the first with in a full moon.
Shuji: sanada reported that to me so I'm investigating it we will talk more about it when yamagishi recovers.
Terry: so what about you misfits? Do you work for some big organizations that puts an end to the shadows?
Mitsuru: no my father is running things from behind the scenes and Makoto,me,Akihiko,takeba,yamagishi and iori are the only ones who can fight the shadow?
Terry was honestly surprised that there was just 6 who can fight while the rest can't.
Terry: so what you 6 are the only who can fight the shadows? That sounds to me like they are basically sending you 6 on a suicide mission.
Shuji: yes when you put it that way but one thing you also don't know is that normal people transmogrify into a coffin when there experiencing the dark hour and some rarely get out if they do then the shadow prey on them and only those who have potential to become persona users can experience the dark hour and those who are outside their coffins don't remember the dark hour even exists.
Terry: so to get this straight.
He looked at the sees group with a bit of a negative look.
Terry: you mean to tell me that you who I can tell from the symbol I saw in Junpei and makoto's uniform that all of you go to gekkokan high are the only ones who can fight the shadows? Sounds to me like the universe is going to give all of hell to deal with.
Yukari: what is that supposed to mean?
Terry: I'll be honest I know a guys who deal with the supernatural and there's a lot of them and there actual people who are adults who can take care of things themselves.
Junpei: dude what are you talking about?
Terry: never mind you wouldn't understand anything anyway.
Mitsuru: well what you said aside we are the specialized extrascurricular execution squad. Or sees for short. Our objective is to eliminate the dark hour.
Terry: akihiko told me that Makoto was the leader of the team?
Mitsuru: no he's the field leader I'm the actual leader.
Terry looked at Makoto who had a blank look then looked at mitsuru.
Terry: how the hell does that work?
Mitsuru: excuse me?
Terry: if you say that you are the leader then why do you give the job of leading the charge to him?
Mitsuru: well as you saw he can use multiple personas and he's been doing a good job of leading so far.
Terry: yeah about that.
Terry looked at Makoto with some suspicion.
Terry: are you some sort of chosen one? Because from what I can tell you are not normal and you have something dark inside your body.
Everyone looked at Makoto who was a bit surprised by the world but didn't know what he was talking about.
Yukari: what are you talking about? Nothing is wrong with him?
Terry: so none of you feel it? Guess having personas doesn't give you enhanced senses.
Mitsuru: what do mean? Are you saying that you can use your persona outside the dark hour?
Terry: once again woman holiday isn't a persona and you mean to tell me that none of can't use yours?
Everyone was silent at that question.
Terry just faced Palmed at this.
Terry: (this group is hopeless)
Akihiko: enough with you questioning us what about you? What's your story?
Terry: i would tell you but you wouldn't believe me.
Junpei: like what? You're from another world or something?
Terry didn't answer and looked at Junpei.
Terry: gee Junpei how did you know my secret?
Everyone was now stunned by the revelation but of course they recovered and didn't believe him.
Yukari: you're joking? You were from another world prove it.
Terry didn't reply instead he reached for his pocket and they thought he was going to attack but instead he pulled out his phone.
But of course the sees group didn't know that because they were from the early stages of phones.
He turned it one and entered his password and threw it to yukari who caught it.
Yukari: what is this?
Terry: that right there is a phone from my world.
Yukari and the sees group looked how advanced the phone looked yukari didn't know how this even worked.
Junpei: dude this looked so advanced is your world this crazy on this?
Terry: no that phone comes from the 2020 era.
The sees group were once again surprised by the new information and Terry gestures to give his phone back.
When he did he went to the pictures app and showed them a photo of him and group.
And they all saw how only 3 girls looked normal but 2 other boys with 4 monsters with things that looked like mask didn't look normal at all.
The sees group were stunned at the sight to say the least.
Mitsuru: what are these things?
Terry: those guys are my friends.
He pointed at one with orange eyes and black skinned like Terry.
Terry: this guy is Edward joh. He pretty good with computers and he's a damn good hacker.
He then pointed at a boy with a black mask covering his mouth and pale white skin.
Terry: this is Yaku he's Japanese and move to the states to transfer to a better school but things happened and he lost most his emotions in the process there's still some remnants luckily he's had some emotional support from us.
Akihiko looked at the beings behind Yaku with curiosity.
Akihiko: what are those things behind him.
Terry: oh those creatures are manifestation of his emotions. One is his happiness,one is his rage, one is his energetic self, one is his sadness. Each of them care for Yaku and our group.
Yukari looked at a girl with a blank look hugging a black slime ball who was looking at the camera with 6 red looking dots.
Yukari: why is that girl hugging that shadow looking thing?
Terry: oh that's Mary and Tenno. Mary has the same situation as Yaku and lost her however unlike yaku she lost almost all of it Tenno here is her emotions manifesting and she's basically the embodiment of her emotions. Those two are like sisters.
Mitsuru: why is a child in your group?
Terry: because I'm her brother figure and she trust me to keep her safe from bad people.
Junpei: what about the two other girls?
Terry: those are Maria and Raven those two are big sisters to me though Raven keeps her emotions in check while Maria makes sure everyone is alright.
Mitsuru: why does group looks like this.
Terry was quiet he turned off his phone and simply replied.
Terry: let's say that I suffered at the hand of scumbags.
They could tell that this was a personal matter for him so they decided to leave it for now.
Mitsuru: so can you at least tell us about yourself?
Terry: I was a kid with an illness and my bastard parents left me for dead.all but my sister. A doctor that I was close to decided to adopt me and my sister and he tried to find ways to cure me but all failed until he got approached by shady people and thanks to him they developed something that can cure my illness.
He looked at his black hands and clenched them.
Some of the doctors were eager to see the fruits of their labor and decided to kidnap me and they put me in a pod. The process was excruciating and I passed out due to the pain I thought I was dead but when I woke up I looked like this.
Junpei: dude were you in a laboratory or some weird government facility?
Terry: heh funny. When I looked at myself in the mirror I thought was a monster but my sister told me to give my new from some time to adapt and now here I am.
Mitsuru: if you really are from another world then why are you here?
Terry: I wasn't planning on coming here and unfortunately I have zero clues on how to get out.
Makoto: what exactly is in your world?
Terry: there's these creatures known as spirits and unlike shadow they come from human origins. When someone dies they become a two types lost or pure souls. Pure are basically harmless spirits but some are capable of doing some crime. Lost souls are twisted monsters that become rabbid animals.
Yukari: wait so ghost are real!?
Terry: you're technically looking at one. Anyway if you are wondering no I don't do anything to keep order between lost and pure souls and cultist.
Mitsuru: cultist?
Terry: what? You think humans wouldn't do anything bad with spirits? Some cultist kidnap innocent people or pure souls and do whatever they do to gain the spirit's power for themselves or use the human as a sacrifice to preform a ritual to steal their life force to enhance their abilities for some stupid believe.
Yukari: that's just horrible.
Akihiko: you mentioned that dealing with these things isn't your job?
Terry: remember what I said of people who deal with the supernatural? Well there called exorcist they keep things in order so that humanity and spirit don't cause too much damage and keeping the existence of spirits a secret.
Junpei: but why keep it a secret? Isn't better for them to know of the danger?
Terry just pointed at himself.
Terry: I'm a perfect example of what humans would do if they found out.
Junpei: oh sorry.
Mitsuru: how do these exorcist fight against the spirits?
Terry just stuck out his hand they saw how it was surrounded by dancing red and black flames and they watched stunned.
Terry: this is spiritual energy this is an energy that is powered by the soul thanks this allow someone with spiritual energy to enhance their strength speed and durability. And they give you a new defense system.
If someone with spiritual energy is hit by let's say a bullet they won't feel nothing more an a small sting. However if someone enhanced a bullet with spiritual energy they will do more damage then a normal bullet and they will also damage a person with spiritual energy.
Junpei: I'm a bit confused.
Terry: the reason why a spiritual enhance bullet would hurt more then a normal bullet is because the bullet would also damage the soul.
Mitsuru: so you're saying that spiritual energy damages the soul?
Terry: bingo that's the key way to kill a lost soul or rouge spiritual energy users and rouge spirits.
Shuji was listening to this with a curious look and he was thinking of when the time comes he will have to be careful about Terry not going out control because he can tell by looking at him that he has more experience in combat compared to the students.
Terry: anyway that's not the only thing spiritual energy can do. Check this out.
They saw as Terry got up from his seat and walk to a dark spot of the room and to there surprise he sunk into the ground.
They ran to the spot where he fell and Junpei touch the ground and felt solid ground.
Akihiko: how did he do that?
Terry: yo!
They turned around and saw Terry half sunk in the ground and looked a bit amused just by his voice alone.
The sees group walked close and got a closer look.
Junpei: dude you just sunk into the ground!
Terry: not the ground the shadows to be specific.
Yukari: wait so you can teleport between shadows!?
Terry got up from the dark puddle and they saw how the dark puddle disappeared like it was never there.
Terry: my ability is to manipulate shadows and thanks to my body being enhanced I can travel through shadow spots
He demonstrates by controlling his shadow make perfect copies of the sees group.
After a few moments of showing his ability and explaining how holiday isn't a persona but a spirit that made a contract with him and how guides work.
They went back to their seats they were still processing the new information about terry's origins.
Mitsuru: so if you aren't an exorcist then what are you?
Terry: I'm a guy with my own agenda.
Akihiko: like what?
Terry: let's say that I'm hunting someone down. Someone who did this to me and I'm planning to kill them along with bastard running the operations.
The sees group were surprised that Terry is actually planning to kill someone like it was nothing.
Mitsuru: if you kill the person that did this to you then your no better than-
Terry: shut up.
That sees group were surprised by the amount of venom in his voice.
Terry: I don't want to hear that killing someone who is willing to torture children and innocent people for experimentes and not to mention those bastard are the reasons I lost the only family I had I liked to see you all going through the same and then saying that I'm no better.
He then looked down at the floor burning a hole in the floor with his eyes while clenching his hands so tight the group can see veins.
Terry: I may look like a monster but those bastard are the real monsters and they don't deserve any mercy when I find him I'll make him suffer for taking everything. My humanity,my family and this.
He took off his mask and everyone of the sees saw that there was a scar on his lips.
Terry: some asshole who works for the boss of the operations captured me and tortured me and he gave this to me and let me tell you this scar is permanent. I can regenerate lost limbs and minor damages but this bastard made sure that this was a permanent scar and what makes it worse is that the bastard went through the luxury to mark this to the point I can feel the pain in the bone bit. Managed to heal the my bone but my muscles tissue was severely damaged. So no matter how much I try to get rid of it it's not going anywhere. And saying or feeling this damn thing makes me remember what I went through. I will pay him back ten fold.
He put his mask back on and he looked at the sees group with eyes of finality.
Terry: I've killed people and I'll admit I'm not a saint any one who hurts my group or anyone who is innocent and feel no remorse they don't deserve to live.
The sees didn't know what to say they could tell Terry has been through a lot but the fact that he has blood on his hands rubbed them the wrong way.
After a moment of silence Akihiko decided to ask something.
Akihiko: so what are going to do?
Terry: I have no idea I can tell that you people aren't familiar with the multiverse so there's no way you would know how to take me home.
Mitsuru: how about you join us for now?
Terry looked at mitsuru with some suspicion he was familiar with people who have money and power to have all the chest pieces close and getting power assets.
Terry: fine but I have to conditions.
Mitsuru: conditions?
Terry: 1 if any of you try anything funny to try to kill me expect me to retaliate I don't people who stab me in the back.
He said this while looking at mitsuru who can tell that Terry didn't trust her and she feels somewhat guilty.
Terry: 2 when we go to deal with trouble I do my own thing. I'll be honest I can tell you people don't have experience in combat situations and honestly I don't trust Makoto to lead especially with the thing inside his body.
Everyone once again looked at Makoto with confusion but Makoto himself had a weird feeling like he's been exposed but didn't know why.
Mitsuru: well that should be acceptable but if your going to be here you probably attended to gekkokan-
Terry: not happening!
Junpei: huh why not?
Terry: I'm beyond school anymore plus I'm 20 I would be pretty damn suspicious if someone over the age of 20 attends school.
Mitsuru: but didn't you graduate from school!?
Terry: I was ill plus I was forced to drop out thanks to the fact I had to move to a science facility.
Yukari: so you're-
Terry: not going to school.
Shuji: no need to worry I can say that he's my personal student and I'm teaching him how to take my place as the chairman one day.
Terry: that's fine by me. Welp if that's all I'll go to sleep I'm mentally tired. It doesn't matter what room I use?
Mitsuru: n no as most of them are empty.
Terry: good enough.
He walk off to see what room is he going to call his own.
Meanwhile the sees group honestly didn't know how to process their situation.
Yukari: soo um what are we going to deal with Terry?
Junpei: honestly he's kinda terrifying but he seems to be calm as long as we don't piss him off.
Mitsuru: I'm with iori he doesn't seem to be a bad person. And he has enough morality to admit that he isn't a saint. So as long as we don't do anything to betray his trust he won't do anything.
Akihiko: but how do we get him back?
Everyone went silent at that question they honestly didn't expect to deal with an individual from another world.
Shuji: for now all we can do is provide a place for him to stay we will figure out if we can sent him home later.
They decided to leave this matter alone for now and go about their day.
As for Terry he decided to stay in a room on the first floor and just go to bed he was mentally tired about remembering the painful memories.
He decided to just go to sleep since he's pretty sure the reason why the group isn't in school was because it was a free day.
But in any case tomorrow he will ask mitsuru if he can see Fuuka and make sure she's okay because the girl honestly gave him memories of his sister who always took care of him when he was sick.
Remembering his sister's face brought him a sad look.
Terry: cass no matter what I will make sure that those bastards pay for what they did. I promise.
