Jiang Chen stood dazed in front of his stall, lost in thought.
In his mind, the image of Sister Wen lingered—
Her slim waist seemed just within reach.
Her full hips, like magnets, radiated an irresistible pull,
As if drawing him into her.
Back in university, Jiang Chen had loved a girl.
But she betrayed him.
Even after three years of dating, he had never touched her.
He was still a virgin.
He had admired her from a distance, never daring to gaze directly at her curves.
But Sister Wen was different.
She was like sunlight—piercing straight into his heart.
For the first time, he felt like he was truly in love.
And the person he loved… was a mature woman, a mother with a five-year-old daughter.
He never imagined he'd fall for someone older.
But she had a charm he couldn't forget—
"So entangled, so unclear—just off the brows, already in the heart."
SCREECH—
A sudden brake snapped Jiang Chen out of his thoughts.
The sharp smell of gasoline filled the air.
A black BMW pulled up and stopped right in front of him.
The door opened.
A man in a white coat stepped out.
Jiang Chen's expression shifted.
That's… the attending doctor.
What is he doing here?
Is he here… to invite me back to the hospital?
The man's badge glinted under the streetlight:
Jiangcheng Ren'an Hospital — Chief Physician: Xu Wenbin
Jiangcheng Hospital—
The very place that had kicked him out.
Xu Wenbin approached with slow, deliberate steps, hands behind his back, exuding arrogance.
He stopped just half a meter away.
His hawk-like eyes locked onto Jiang Chen's.
Jiang Chen's emotions surged.
Part of him wanted to punch this bastard,
But he held back—he couldn't afford trouble now.
The two stared at each other in silence for nearly thirty seconds.
Finally, Xu Wenbin sneered:
"A disgrace of a doctor, thrown out of the hospital, now playing street healer?"
Jiang Chen remained calm. "Here for a consultation?"
"Consultation?" Xu scoffed. "You out of your mind?"
"I don't want to see you," Jiang Chen said coolly, picking up his things, ready to leave.
"I'm here to warn you," Xu Wenbin stepped forward and began taking pictures with his phone.
Click. Click. Click.
"These videos are gold," he said, smirking.
"I'll be uploading them to medical forums. We'll report you for illegal practice. You'll be in jail in no time."
"Do what you want." Jiang Chen nodded.
"But tell me something, Dr. Xu—why do you have it in for me?"
"You really want to know?"
"Of course. If you're going to destroy me, at least tell me why."
Xu Wenbin put away his phone, lips curling.
"Fine. Crushing an ant doesn't require secrecy. Do you remember reporting a fellow student during medical school?"
"I do. Why?"
"Your report voided his thesis. He couldn't graduate. That ring a bell?"
"It does." Jiang Chen answered firmly.
"You ruined someone else's future. Did you think it wouldn't come back on you?"
"Thank you for the honesty." Jiang Chen smiled.
"But I'm not the kind of man who reports others easily. Your son, Xu Peng, deserved it.
He stole my thesis and tried to pass it off as his own during graduation. I had no choice."
Xu Wenbin's face froze.
"You were right to report him," he said coldly.
"But you messed with someone you couldn't afford to offend."
"What do you mean? Xu Peng is your—"
"My son."
Jiang Chen's eyes widened.
So that's it.
"Yes. And because of you, his medical career ended.
Now, I—his father—will end yours. I'll make sure your life is worse than death."
So that was the truth.
No wonder he was expelled for something so trivial.
It had been personal all along.
Very well.
You can't escape revenge—not in this world.
"Xu," Jiang Chen said, "post your video wherever you like. Go ahead, try to ruin me. Let's see if I end up sewing in prison."
He turned to leave.
"Not so fast," Xu said, patting his shoulder.
"How about a PK?"
"A what?"
"A face-off. We each treat the same patient. Whoever performs better wins.
The loser… cuts off an arm."
Cut off an arm?
That was a heavy wager.
The crowd gasped—then erupted in excitement.
"Nice!"
"Let's see who's really got skills!"
"He who refuses is a coward!"
"This'll be fun. The hospital doc's gonna expose this fraud."
"That faker's arm is as good as gone!"
"He won't dare accept."
Jiang Chen paused—then nodded.
"Where's the patient?"
Just then, a middle-aged man stepped from the crowd.
"I'll do it."
He walked up to Jiang Chen, gave a brief glance, then turned and bowed respectfully to Xu Wenbin.
"Dr. Xu, I have prostate issues."
Xu gave him a once-over.
"Show me your back."
The man obeyed, lifting his shirt and bending forward.
After a few seconds of inspection, Xu said casually:
"One patch. That's all it'll take."
He pulled a box from his coat and removed a sticky herbal plaster.
A reddish-brown goo smeared the white cloth—
Looked suspiciously like… something foul.
He slapped it onto the man's back and gave his shoulder a firm pat.
"How do you feel?" he asked.
