Chapter 57: Harvest (Part 1)
A few seconds later, the static scene suddenly erupted. Every Fallen's face was filled with unconcealable panic and fear. They no longer cared about me, their Enemy, and scattered in a panic, fleeing in all directions. The situation at that moment could only be described as monkeys scattering when a tree falls.
I also stood there dumbfounded—I won? I really won. I, a small Level 7 Druid, actually killed Bishibosh, the most troublesome Boss in the Rogue Encampment. I pinched my cheek hard; it didn't hurt. Was I dreaming?
Before long, I was the only one left standing there blankly in the entire Camp, Incredulous surveying the desolate scene before me. Although my original Idea was to kill Bishibosh, and I was quite confident, when the Idea actually came true, I was still at a loss. An indescribable joy filled my entire body. This was probably the supreme satisfaction and sense of accomplishment after defeating a powerful Enemy. Although Corpsefire was also killed by me, it always felt a bit like an unfair victory. Now, killing Bishibosh by myself was a tangible battle Result. Even the legendary Tal Rasha, I believe, could absolutely not have done it at my Level.
"Awooo..."
I let out a long howl towards the sky, mixed with joy, satisfaction, and Confidence. My pure white, solitary figure stood tall and vast on the Land mixed with the Blood, flesh, and Crushed Bones of the Fallen. Today's battle finally allowed me to find the Confidence of being a Class Changer. Who dares say that I, this Transmigrator, am useless? If you have the guts, come and try! Don't say I rely on the Bugged Amulet and the Redeemer. Aren't they part of my own Strength? If a Civilian were to get a crazy Idea one day and challenge a Class Changer, could they also say something like, "If you have the guts, don't fight me using the Strength of a Class Changer"?
After venting my joy, I eagerly went to where Bishibosh self-destructed. Many Bosses with Flame attributes have the attribute of self-destructing after death. This is a rather overpowered ability. For Melee Professions, especially Class Changers like Assassins with low Life, a slight carelessness can lead to a fate of being blown to pieces.
It was truly terrifying. I watched the scene before me with trepidation. Bishibosh's Corpse had exploded so thoroughly that not even a trace could be found. Within ten meters Around it, the Guards affected by the explosion were all blown to pieces. There wasn't a single intact limb or bone. Fresh, tattered organs were scattered everywhere. The Blood carried by the airflow had even splattered over a hundred meters away, forming a wet, soft Blood mud, terrifying like an Asura Hell.
Although the scene before me was terrifying beyond compare, I was clearly quite absorbed. At this moment, my attention was already completely Attracted by the glittering Equipment scattered everywhere, and I didn't notice at all that I was in a scene resembling Hell.
When I was Planning to hunt Bishibosh this time, I originally didn't Plan to have any substantial harvest. In the Plan, even if Bishibosh was killed, the astonishing number of Fallen Around it would be enough to prevent me from safely going forward to pick up the Equipment. And if that Equipment wasn't picked up in time, it might be snatched away by some Fallen later.
It wasn't that I hadn't considered the possibility that the Fallen would scatter after Bishibosh was killed, but that kind of Protagonist thinking was only something to fantasize about in my mind. It was more likely that after I killed Bishibosh, it would instead provoke collective anger and riot among the Fallen. So, the moment Bishibosh died, I was already prepared to escape. I just didn't expect the Result to be unexpectedly perfect. This group of cowardly Fallen actually chose to flee, giving me a free pass.
To be honest, this battle didn't really involve much technique or Wisdom. The method I, a half-baked Class Changer, could come up with must have been thoroughly studied by other Class Changers long ago. However, they didn't have as many favorable conditions as I did. Other Classes lacked Speed and were easily surrounded. Although Assassins had Speed, their Life was too low. And a Druid, even if they had Level 8 Werewolf and Level 8 Transformation Skill like me, without the Freeze delay effect of Frozen Armor, it would also be very Dangerous.
Of course, it's not to say they absolutely couldn't do it, but compared to the Protection provided by my Level 8 Skill + Frozen Armor, their Success Rate would be much lower, and they would have to take a certain amount of risk. After all, Life is only once. They had to weigh the gains and losses to see if it was worth doing. As for me, it was only because I could ensure my own safety that I dared to go all out.
"Huh...?!!"
Bishibosh's self-destruction just now had scattered the Equipment all over the ground. I had to carefully search among the "Blood mud." Suddenly, a piece of Leather Armor emitting a Gold Glow Attracted my Eyeball, and I couldn't look away. I didn't care about the Blood all over the ground and walked straight towards it, picking up the Leather Armor with trembling hands.
It was truly Golden Equipment. I carefully stroked the Leather Armor that emitted a warm Gold Glow. The three bright red Unidentified attributes on it almost made me suffocate with excitement, and even the hand holding the Identify Scroll couldn't stop trembling.
Robe of the Storm Leather Armor
Defense: 31
Durability: (-(
Required Strength: 15
Required Level: 5
+30% Enhanced Defense
Lightning Resistance +)%
+5 Vitality
+5 Energy
+2 Light Radius
Replenish Durability 1 in 1 day
OMG, this is genuine Unique Grade Equipment! In the entire Rogue Encampment, there might only be this one piece. And these attributes, I can only say they are too awesome.
The way attributes are calculated here is different from the Game in many places. The most valuable part of this Clothes is not the Defense, not the Resistance, and not the +2 attribute points, but the +2 Light Radius. Cain once mentioned this to me. +2 Light Radius is not some nonsense increase in brightness like in the Game; it genuinely increases the user's Vision! This is more important than anything for Class Changers who are good at Ranged Attack, especially Amazons who are Proficient with Bow and Arrow. If they knew about this, I would definitely not have peace. Although it probably wouldn't escalate to a cliché plot of murder and robbery, just imagine hundreds of Amazons constantly following behind you and staring.
And increasing Vision is also very useful, even for Melee Professions. Precisely because of its preciousness, such Equipment is extremely rare. The value of each piece is almost comparable to Unique Item. I didn't expect this Clothes to actually have this awesome attribute.
