The bunch on the ground had already started despairing when Xie Yang asked the question.
They felt like they saw a hand reaching out for them after being stuck at the bottom of a ditch.
Yes! As long as Pres speaks up for them in front of Zhou Kai they won't be harmed!
All of them started speaking in unison to try and save their skins.
"No, Pres! In fact we were the ones in the wrong!"

Zhou Kai really had given them a choice to leave but how could they run with their tails between their legs when they were the ones picking a fight? In fact, this act of showing mercy further ignited their fighting spirits.
The last sentence was a lie though. Zhou Kai did beat them hard. Really hard. Although the bruises on their faces did not look that bad, their bodies felt like they have been run over by a truck.
Zhou Kai was really too vicious. He hit them hard where their bodies were covered by clothes.
Of course, they were not stupid enough to tell that to the Pres. They had already made a mistake once and are barely trying to salvage it.
The bunch on the ground felt like crying tears of blood as they spoke up about how Zhou Kai was a conscientious Bodhisattva and they were the vicious villains who had forced such a good person to dirty his hands by fighting them.
They blurred the line between truth and lies making it hard to find out the actual truth about what happened.
The truth wasn't important anyway. What was important was that the Pres knew that Zhou Kai was innocent and that he should not break up(?) with him.
Xie Yang looked at the fools on the ground still with the same gentle smile which had now turned three parts real with un-hidden glee in his eyes.
"Enjoying yourself?" Leo asked with a mischievous grin.
'Very much!' Xie Yang replied, the gentle smile on his face contrasting the schadenfreude in his heart.
Some clever ones were trying to hint at Xie Yang with their eyes in an attempt to save themselves. All of this was seen Xie Yang and of course was also seen by Zhou Kai making his expression even more ferocious.
Xie Yang ignored the obvious hints putting on a helpless expression while laughing in his heart.
"It seems like everything's good then?"
"Yes, Pres!" Replied the bunch on the ground in a chorus.
"Then get up and make yourself sparse?"
The bunch on the ground didn't dare to dawdle any longer for fear of angering Zhou Kai even more and directly ran out. Now only Zhou Kai's friends were still awkwardly standing around.
"Why are you guys still here? Didn't you hear what Pres said?" Zhou Kai asked in a low voice.
Their boss had changed!!
Before he would pretend to listen to Pres but still go and do the wrong things but now he's so adamant on following Pres?!
Zhou Kai's group of friends(minions) still knew better than the bunch who were previously on the ground and scattered much faster without any arguments despite their shock.
Now that the light bulbs are taken care of, the atmosphere seemed to turn awkward.
Zhou Kai was trying his best to find a topic of conversation but every topic he could come up with usually led to something bad he did or something bad which happened in general.
Xie Yang on the other hand, was faring much better.
"Hey Kai, can I borrow some money from you?"
Xie Yang asked in a small voice full of hesitation with his eyes downcast.
Zhou Kai frowned upon hearing this request.
"Not much, just 2000 yuan."
Supposedly noticing his reaction, Xie Yang clarified the amount nervously raising his head to meet Zhou Kai's eyes while holding up two fingers.
Zhou Kai's senses were too blinded by love to notice the green tea smell on his beloved.
Xie Yang knew his husband would give the money even if he demanded rudely but why not take advantage of the situation and act like the little white lotus he pretended to be?
Anyways his husband had a His sweetheart can never do wrong filter when it came to himself.
And sure enough Zhou-Blinded by love-Kai bought into Xie Yang's act.

'Bingo~' Xie Yang thought happily in his heart while his face showed an opposite reaction looking horrified at the huge amount of money.

Zhou Kai replied in a gentle voice trying to soothe his (not) shaken sweetheart.
"Fuck! isn't your husband too blind?" Leo asked with a disdainful expression.
'Who cares? He's mine anyways. If he doesn't spoil me then who is he supposed to spoil? Those peach blossoms that approach him for benefits?' Xie Yang replied in a shameless tone.
"Aren't you the same? Pleasing him for benefits?" Leo remarked with evil intentions.
'How is asking my own husband for money the same as those little peach blossoms flattering him for opportunities? Besides what's his is mine and naturally what's mine is his.' Xie Yang countered while raising an eyebrow amused.
"Chairman Xie, might I remind you that you are not Zhou Kai's husband yet? Even if he keeps a few lovers, you have no right to be angry at him." Leo reminded clearly trying to incite something.
