Inside a humble home carved from a rock cave, the young maiden Kaida has spent a great deal of time taking off Firion's armor and treating his gruesome injuries.
One of the most serious ones was a puncture wound that went through his stomach! When Kaida saw this she immediately started to cry for this man and began to fear his chances of survival.
"I don't know if I can save him in this state, but at least I managed to stop the bleeding after I sealed the wounds with a homemade salve and some old-fabric bandages." said a tired Kaida.
She sat by her bed as Firion occupied it with his large build. At least he was resting soundly and his complexion improved slightly, but Kaida herself was now very tired, but she was worried about his condition deteriorating.
Instead of sleeping she chose to sit up and watch for any changes, but the fatigue of hauling a large man and treating his wounds was causing her to drift in and out of consciousness.
Without warning, she slowly nods off: slouching in her chair, causing her head to fall on the bed. This slight vibration did cause Firion to wake up, albeit with lingering pain from his wounds.
He can feel the weight of Kaida's head on the bed and realizes she must have just fallen asleep. He then begins to slowly move his hands over his bandages but avoids pressing too much because of the discomfort.
Then he lets out a sigh of relief, "I have been saved. But just who is this girl living out here by herself with a wolf?" Curious, he decided to take advantage of her fatigue and started touching her head.
Very gently, he began to lightly touch Kaida's face as his hand found where her head was resting. He can tell from the smoothness of her skin that she is a young woman with delicate features.
"I guess she is just a normal girl...." he mumbled, however suddenly something made Firion alarmed as he felt the side of the girl's head, he felt a large and hard appendage on the side of her head!
"What?!? No...it can't be...she told me she wasn't one, how could she have lied and my ears have not sensed it?" He growled and gritted his teeth with anger as he now believes Kaida tricked him.
Judging by the protrusion on the side of her head he quickly realized that she must be a member of the blue-horn demon clan! Or the dragon tribe as they call themselves.
With memories crawling back, it was the blue horns that made his life miserable to begin with!
Without a second thought Firion grabbed Kaida by her neck and pulled her down on the bed! Waking her up and sending her into screaming panic!
"Aaaaa..." she tried to squeal but a hand covered her mouth! She looked up and saw the very man she was trying to help gazing at her with clear anger.
She desperately tried to pull his hand off, but even with his injuries, the raw strength was too much. She cried as she had no idea what was going on!
"You thought you could lie to me? Well, think again, demon!" He snarled at her. "Why in the hell are you trying to help an elf like me? Do you just want money or something?"
Kaida heard what he said, but she was focused on trying to release herself from his grasp! ("I don't know what a demon is or what an elf is for that matter! Just please let me go! Please someone help!") and she began crying.
Firion felt the warm water trickles fall from her cheeks and it finally dawned on him to reconsider what he was doing because this girl still chose to save his life, but what will she do now that his hostilities were obvious?
Just as he started to hesitate and loosen his grip he heard an aggressive growl and in a split second Misha lunged at the man's hand and pulled him off of Kaida.
As she collapses on the ground gasping for air and trying to reclaim her bearings she witnesses the violence unfold as Misha is mauling Firion arm!
Kaida couldn't stand it anymore! and quickly issued a command, "MISHA STOP THIS AT ONCE!" she shouted.
