Time was running out. After rescuing everyone in a mere two minutes, Heatblast swiftly returned to the rooftop. He placed his palms together, and the flames surrounding the burning building began to pull inward, extinguishing the fires one by one.
The rescued people began recounting their peculiar experiences inside, leaving the firefighters in disbelief. After all, it was just too outlandish. How could there be a person made of fire in this world? A "fire man"?" Are the firefighters here too?" Heatblast leaned over and saw the fire trucks and firefighters below. His expression relaxed a little.
"Then I shouldn't be needed here anymore. I'll go catch those gangsters!"
Heatblast faced forward, and once more, pillars of fire erupted from the soles of his feet. The flames on his body intensified, propelling him into the distance like a meteor.
"What was that?!"
"There really is a guy on fire!"
By the time they all noticed the streak across the sky, Heatblast had already vanished from sight, leaving them dumbfounded.
I saw aliens!
This world really is like Gotham City. It's all Gotham City. There have been many robberies since I was a child. Now there are more aliens." Heatblast flew in the direction the robbers escaped, thinking silently.
Heatblast's flying speed certainly wasn't as fast as XLR8's, but it was far quicker than the robbers' truck. Soon, he spotted the large truck speeding ahead on the viaduct. Two robbers were in the driver's seat while two others hung outside the truck doors, strapped in with seatbelts and holding rifles.
"Ding!"
"Sign-in object detected: Robbers who robbed civilians and set fire!"
"Defeat them and sign in!"
"Then let's begin 'law enforcement'!" Upon hearing the system's prompt, Heatblast felt a slight thrill. He raised a finger and aimed it at the truck's tire.
Musket!
Boom!
His fingers twitched and a condensed, bullet-shaped flame shot out. The fireball instantly penetrated one of the large truck's tires, blasting a small pit into the ground.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Heatblast continued to flick his fingers, swiftly puncturing the other three tires as well.
"No, this isn't good! Stop the car!"
"What just happened? Did we run over nails?"
Before the four robbers in the truck could figure out what was happening, the large truck began to shake violently. Terrified, they quickly released the accelerator and slowly applied the brakes. Due to inertia, the truck slid for a hundred meters before finally grinding to a halt on the side of the road.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The four aggressive-looking robbers jumped out of the truck with their rifles, came to the side of the road, and angrily looked around. "Who just now burst our tires?!"
"If you're so brave, stand up! Don't be a coward!" They muttered to themselves, determined to teach that nosy person a lesson.
Boom!
A red, fiery body landed in front of them. It was an engulfed-in-flames alien!
"It's me. What's wrong?" Heatblast tilted his head slightly, looking genuinely curious.
"This...what is this?" The four robbers were stunned for a moment, their fingers frozen on their triggers. They stared at Heatblast, utterly amazed.
"No matter what he is! Whoever blocks us will face a dead end!" The most daring robber gritted his teeth and pulled the trigger.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Flashes of fire erupted from the muzzle. A burst of lightning-fast bullets rained down.
"Firearm!"
Heatblast rapidly released a musket with an astonishingly high temperature. When the musket touched the bullets, they melted instantly!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Then, a series of explosions erupted from the ground beneath the feet of the four robbers, creating countless potholes. The intense heat was mere inches away from them! If it had hit them, it would have been excruciating!
"I didn't hit you on purpose, but if you don't surrender, don't blame me for being rude." Heatblast's voice was cold, a stark contrast to the high temperature of his flames. The combination sent shivers down the robbers' spines. This alien had the power to back up his words. He was serious!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The robbers threw their rifles to the ground one by one. The four robbers bowed their heads and fell to their knees, completely surrendering.
"Okay, it's over." Heatblast walked toward them, raised his foot, and stomped on all the rifles. The flames on the soles of his feet ignited the rifles, burning them to ashes. He had shattered the robbers' hopes completely!
Then, he leaped into the air and turned into a red meteor. He flew toward Grandpa Max.
But...
Beep... beep... beep.
Still airborne, Heatblast suddenly heard the Omnitrix on his chest beeping constantly. In just three or four seconds, he was clearly about to change back! But he was still high in the sky!
"Damn!" Heatblast cursed.
At the same time!
"Ding! Congratulations, Host, for signing in successfully!" The sound of the system was like music to his ears.
