Lyanna's phone buzzed soon after she stepped into her room and dressed for the party, she glanced at the screen to see her father's name. Smiling, she answered.
"Hi, Dad. How are you?" she greeted warmly.
"I'm doing well. How about you, sweetie?" he replied in a gentle, inquisitive tone.
"I'm getting ready for a young adults' party at the Biltmore Winery," she said, her voice brimming with excitement.
Frank chuckled softly, shaking his head at his daughter's enthusiasm. "That's wonderful, sweetheart. I hope you have a fantastic time tonight."
Smiling through the phone, Lyanna asked, "Of course! What about you and Mom? Any plans for the evening?"
He laughed lightly. "Oh, your mom and I are just planning a quiet night in. We might catch up on that show we've been binge-watching."
Lyanna laughed too. "That sounds lovely, Dad. What show are you two watching?"
"We're thinking about diving back into The Crown. We just can't get enough of it," he said with a chuckle.
Lyanna smiled, picturing her parents cozied up on the couch, lost in royal drama. She admired how they always made time for each other despite their busy lives.
"Let me know what you think of the new season," she said, genuinely curious about their thoughts on the show's portrayal of history.
"Absolutely. We'll keep you posted. It's fascinating how they blend real events into the storyline," he replied.
Lyanna nodded to herself, looking forward to hearing their thoughts. "Thanks, Dad. That means a lot."
"You're welcome, sweetie," he said with pride evident in his voice.
"By the way, what's Connor up to tonight?" she asked, curiosity creeping in.
"He mentioned a movie night with his friends—something about action flicks and ordering pizza," her dad said in amusement.
"Sounds like fun!" Lyanna laughed. "I wish I could join them."
"I know, sweetie. Maybe next time you visit. I'm sure your brother would love that," he replied.
"I'll definitely plan on it. I miss you guys so much," she admitted. Even though she hadn't left home for long, it was the first time and she couldn't help but miss her everyone at home.
"We miss you too, sweetheart. But we're so proud of everything you're doing. Just focus on your goals and remember how much we love you."
Her heart swelled with warmth. "Thanks, Dad. That really means a lot."
"Of course. I'll always have your back—no matter what," he said with quiet certainty.
"Thank you." Her voice was soft with emotion.
Noticing the time, Lyanna realized she needed to get moving. "I should probably start getting ready," she said reluctantly.
"Of course, sweetie. Enjoy the party at the winery tonight," he said excitedly.
"Thanks, Dad! I'm really looking forward to meeting new people," she replied with a grin.
"Just be safe and text me when you arrive, okay?" he added in concern.
"I will, I promise," she said reassuringly.
"I love you, honey. Have a great time," he said playfully.
"I love you too, Dad. Talk soon. Bye!"
After ending the call, Lyanna felt a mix of nervousness and excitement. She gave herself one last glance in the mirror, adjusted her hair, grabbed her purse, and headed out the door, ready for what the evening would bring.

The Biltmore Winery buzzed with life as Lyanna entered, she felt a hint of anticipation. She made her way to the bar, scanning the vibrant crowd as laughter and music filled the air.
The bartender approached her soon after she entered. "Good evening. What can I get you?" he asked with a serious tone.
Lyanna glanced at the menu, then said, "May I have a glass of Chenin Blanc, please?"
He gave a curt nod and began pouring the wine, its crisp aroma wafting up as it filled the glass. While she waited, Lyanna took in the warm, inviting ambiance—the perfect backdrop for making new memories.
"Here you go, miss," the bartender said, handing her the glass.
"Thank you," she replied with a smile. Taking a sip, she savored the fresh, fruity of the wine. After she was done with the drink she decided to go look for Angela or Alexander.
As she turned to walk into the crowd, she accidentally bumped into someone.
"Oh, I'm so sorry! Are you alright?" Lyanna asked, genuinely remorseful.
"It's totally fine. These things happen. Hi, I'm Nayla O'Hara," the young woman replied, offering her hand with a friendly smile.
"Nice to meet you, Nayla. I'm Lyanna Asher," she said, shaking her hand in return.
Nayla tilted her head thoughtfully. "Is this your first day working here?"
"Yes, it is!" Lyanna said proudly. "I just started in the restoration department. I'll be working alongside Alexander and Angela."
"That's great—congratulations!" Nayla responded warmly.
"Thanks! How long have you been here?" Lyanna asked curiously.
"I've been working at Biltmore for about three years now," Nayla replied with a smile.
"That's wonderful," Lyanna said sincerely.
"Thank you," Nayla said, clearly appreciative. "Would you like to hang out for the rest of the evening?"
Caught slightly off guard, Lyanna hesitated only for a moment before smiling. "Sure, I'd love to."
"Awesome! Come on, I'll introduce you to some of my friends," Nayla said cheerfully.
Lyanna's heart slightly lifted at the gesture. "I'm in. Let's go!"
Together, the two women made their way through the lively crowd.
