State University, New York, 1992, Earth-616150
Reed Richards' POV
Finally, I arrived at the State University! I even got a stipend with the help of the director—shoutout to you, Professor Elias Wainwright. You truly are great. Not to sound arrogant, but I expected to get one because I have a GPA of 4.0. Again, not being arrogant, but I will become a professor in about 60 days in computer science. After that, I'm gonna be a white-hat hacker for all the companies, so I'll make big money with it. Then, it will be time to create my own company and code my own AI. Of course, I will recreate the super-soldier serum and a never-aging serum. Ever since I became Reed Richards, I talk too much to myself. I should stop that.
So, let's go in and conquer this university!
The Moon, Not-Named Watcher, Earth-616150
We have now arrived at the time when Reed is going to meet many of his friends, loved ones, but also his enemies. He is making his way through the university, admiring the old architecture and the labs. He hears noises coming from one lab—Lab 451, which is different from the others. In this one, he will find his fated enemy, Victor von Doom, working on his machine in an attempt to meet his dead mother. However, what Victor doesn't know is that it will malfunction… on another day.

Reed Richards' POV
I see a man with brown hair, brown eyes, and unkempt, short-cut hair, wearing black trousers, a white shirt, and a white lab coat. He's working on a machine. It looks like he wants to teleport into another dimension with it. I can tell because he left some advanced mathematical equations on the whiteboard. It clearly shows that he wants to cut open space in the most unethical way possible. It's like stabbing a person with a rusty and fuzzy knife, then digging all the way in to cut open their stomach. It's just disgusting. Knowing this, I can deduce that I'm better than him in this field.
So, I'll greet him a bit cockily. I show him a cocky grin and say, "Nice to meet you. I'm Reed Richards, the smartest man alive. What's your name?" I offer him my hand to shake, but he just looks at me unimpressed, as if I were beneath him—an idiot.
'Hey, at least I'm not the one who's gonna blow himself up with that machine. Meh.'
He answers my question in an uninterested, monotonous, and annoyed voice: "Victor von Doom. Now depart. For Doom forges beyond the grasp of your maggot-riddled cortex."
'He acts like an insulted kid. But he doesn't know his machine will go kaboom. I might've wanted to help him meet his mother, but meh—he's an asshole.' I'm amused by his words and react with, "HAHAHAHAHAHA! If you only knew. I'll depart now and leave you to your seclusion."

This was the first fateful meeting between enemies, but it would not be their last. One feels insulted by the mere presence of the other; the other is amused by the offended one's reactions.
Now, Reed Richards makes his way to his dorm room. Behind door number 616, he will meet a mountain of a man—a person who is truly a rock in the storm.
Dorm Room 616, State University, Earth-616150
Reed Richards' POV
Now, opening the door to my dorm room—number 616. Coincidence? I think not. But more interesting is the person currently unpacking his stuff. He's a monstrous man: taller and more muscular than me, and I'm ripped after playing football for over 14 years and hitting the gym on and off. (Author's note: For now, he has the physique of Cristiano Ronaldo.) He has brown eyes, dark brown hair, and a short military haircut. He's wearing jeans, a basic white shirt, and a black-and-red bomber jacket.
He gives me a warm smile and drawls, "Hey, Benjamin Grimm—but you can call me Ben. What's your name, roommate?"
I give him a wide smirk and quip, "I'm Reed Richards, the smartest man alive. What do you study here?"
"BWAHAHAHA! I like your confidence, Reed!" he exclaims, then adds, "I'm an engineering student with a football stipend. And you? Also, you look like you do sports—those muscles don't come magically."
I answer truthfully: "Interesting. I'm going to study computer science here, and yes, I play. Don't want to sound arrogant, but I'm here on a stipend for gifted people."
"Whistles* My roommate's a brainiac! I play American football. You've gotta hit the gym with me—I'll put some more muscle on you! Give you the Ben Grimm Special Training!"*
I have to correct him before he puts me through some hellish training regimen, thinking I'm one of his American football buddies: "I mean European football, not American!"
"Oh, soccer!" He nods in understanding but adds, "But you're still gonna be my gym bro! And you're finishing my training regimen!"
He now proceeds to come near and give me a bear hug, squeezing almost all the air out of my lungs. The Thing—even without his powers—is strong.
With a muffled voice, I say, "Put me down, you oaf! I have to change!"
He sets me down. We look at each other and burst into laughter: "HAHAHAHA!""BWAHAHAHA!"

Now ends Reed Richards' first day of college. He went through hellish training (for mortals, of course) with Benjamin Grimm. His muscle fibers will ache for a week. But many challenges now await him. Cherish these moments, Reed Richards.

Author's Note:
Sorry for the wait—I haven't had time to write, and right now it's 4 in the morning, lol. Hope you forgive me! The next chapter will come today as compensation. And yeah the chapter came out short.
Yeah, I made this Reed a bit of a hypocrite. Nobody's perfect.
