Third POV:
Sunday morning came quietly. It was early morning when Cordell woke up in his bed in his small room inside his campus apartment. His heart though a bit lighter was still heavy from the break-up. He stared up for at the ceiling just laying there for a few seconds. After just laying there for a few seconds Cordell got up. No tears he had none left. He took quick shower and got dress in his new clothes then shoulder his guitar case then heads out.
It was early and many of the students was still asleep so no one saw him he got in a cab leaving campus. Cordell takes the cab stop to the city park. When he arrives he heads to beautiful space where he used to busk his first few weeks here in New York long before he met his ex girlfriend Angela and long before the job that had come and gone.
Cordell walked and found his familiar spot beneath an old tree near a fountain. A place where sunlight danced across the cobblestones, and the air felt easy to breathe. Cordell set his hat down from his head at his feet and tuned his guitar just right. He then ties my hair back in low ponytail. After his hair was put up he started playing the strings that even after months still felt familiar to him even after all these months the guitar still felt like his. Then without a ceremony, Cordell started to play.
Cordell didn't preform to impress he played to heal. His voice, raw and smooth, slipping into the air like silk. Each note carried fragments of everything pain, regret, strength, and truth. He always hidden this side himself at school. At campus he was the stoic, reserve, and quiet kid. The kid who wore old shoes and shirts that were threadbare. The target of whispers and mockery. But here, surrounded by strangers who only cares about the sound, he was someone else entirely.
He was a kid with talent who sings cover songs in a park. People began to gather. Not many at first, just a few curious folks. Then eventually as it got later in the morning more folks gathered. It wasn't just the music it was Cordell himself. Without the old clothes and his hair actually pulled back Cordell's natural features were easy to actually notice. Cordell on his part was actually quite attractive it just was over looked alot because of his rugged almost homeless look he used to have.
But now with new clothes and hair pulled b onack his attractive features are actually noticed. Combine his attractive looks along with his amazing voice singing cover songs a crowd was easy to gather. Cordell was soulful and unfiltered just naturally singing no voice changing devices at all. The crowd love him.
Cordell played throughout the day only taking breaks to eat and drink throughout the day. By the end of the day he made a lot of money over 3k, $3230 to be exact and that after not only buying food and drink about the day but also donating $1475 to different homeless people he seen about the day. He gave out $5 here and $10 there. Sometimes he only gave out 20s and 50s giving them our to different people who seem to have it worse then him.
After he finished for the day he packed up pocket his earnings put back on his hat then went straight to an ATM. After putting most his money in an ATM Cordell hailed a cab and headed back to campus. When he got back it was late so all his roommates were a sleep. He went straight to his room and then got ready for bed then climbed into bed. The next morning as always he woke up early got ready for school he did not wear his hair any different he looking as usual emo like his hair cover most his face only difference is he actually has new clothes. He head to school as always he hears the mockery and whispers of the rest of his college mates word already got word of his breakup with Angela.
But he doesn't let that get to him goes about his day. He was always first to each class, he takes diligent notes, he only speaks when teachers speak to him to answer questions in class, and being mocked by others but ignores them. After the school day finished Cordell left and went straight to his apartment dropped off his bag grabbed his guitar then took a cab to the park to once again to preformed until sunset. He would break on occasion to get drinks and food. Like before he would give some his earnings to some homeless people.
This routine continues for days until Wednesday. On Wednesday he cuts his time performing in the park a bit ending it early since he decided he wanted to take his roommates out for dinner today as a goodbye since he moving out soon not to mention a thanks for treating him well for the months they been living together since September when they started school. He donated some money to the homeless then head to the ATM getting some money into his account planning to take them someplace nice. He has a total of 793,000 in his debit account and that after doing the stock market again doing some investments he believed to be a smart choice. After depositing the money Cordell heads off to hail but a sleek dark grey BWM pulls up next to him with tinted windows. A women in her early 30s in a grey with suit pencil skirt step out of the back seat in front of him. The woman had long dark blonde hair, light tan skin, emerald green eyes, heart shape face, she was had an athletic frame, 36 b-cups, a small heart shape butt, thick thighs, wide hips, and long legs. Cordell after a quick look over without full on staring or making it obvious he was checkiing her out could not help but think to himself that this woman was more beautiful then his ex-girlfriend. But then to the mental question was why she stopped in front of him.
