Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Devouring and Fusion

Chapter 1: Devouring and Fusion

"Where… am I? Didn't I die?" Chen Feng looked around at the endless void.

It felt like outer space—pitch black—but shimmering with countless floating lights. He clearly remembered dying, struck by lightning. There was no way he could've survived that.

Chen Feng was a man who had lived two lives. In his first life, he was a killer—cold, ruthless, efficient. But in a bitter twist of fate, he was killed by the woman he loved. Her reason? Hatred. Hatred born from revenge, because Chen Feng had taken her parents' lives.

Before his death, he had truly come to understand the horror of human nature. A person could spend eight whole years married to their enemy, all for the sake of revenge. That kind of resolve was terrifying.

He believed that death would be the end. But when he reincarnated with the memories of his past life, he became a man unable to trust anyone… until he met her.

A girl who seemed to live in a dream. They met through a business connection—her father, Huang Biao, had dealings with Chen Feng's company. She was Huang Yun. A cheerful girl who loved anime, romance novels, and fantasy worlds. Since they met, she kept dragging Chen Feng to watch tear-jerking anime, emotional dramas, and cheesy rom-coms.

At first, he resisted. But slowly, every time he saw her cry, laugh, or react with pure joy to those stories, something inside him softened. She helped him untangle the knot in his heart. He began to feel… happy again.

They were about to be married. But fate was cruel.

Huang Yun was kidnapped. During the rescue attempt, Chen Feng nearly died—but she shielded him with her own body. She died in his arms, smiling. That moment broke him.

Driven mad by grief, he tracked down the mastermind—Huang Biao, her own father. The man had orchestrated the whole tragedy just to seize Chen Feng's company.

Chen Feng infiltrated Huang Biao's home and planted explosives. As he escaped in a small plane, a storm erupted. Thunder roared, lightning split the skies.

"Tch, so noisy..." Chen Feng muttered. "Strike me if you dare."

He shouldn't have tempted fate.

Lightning struck not far from his aircraft. The skies cracked open. As his plane spiraled, Chen Feng felt something pulling him. A vortex… a void.

At that final moment, his mind was filled with ten thousand galloping "grass mud horses." Then—darkness.

He floated now, weightless.

"I should be dead," Chen Feng muttered. "So… is this my soul? And these… light particles?"

Curious, he reached out and touched one. The moment his finger made contact, the glowing light rushed toward his forehead and merged with him. The others followed—one after another—until they had all entered him.

With each fusion, a flood of memories poured into his mind. His soul grew stronger, more complete, more powerful. When the final light entered him, he no longer felt like the same Chen Feng.

From the fragments, he learned the truth.

They were the shattered remnants of a soul—Otsutsuki Mitsushiki, a prince of the Otsutsuki clan, who had died in a space storm while searching for his sister, Princess Kaguya. Betrayed by Otsutsuki Momoshiki, even his soul was destroyed.

And now… that soul had fused with Chen Feng.

Suddenly, his forehead cracked open—an eye began to form, glowing with white light. A black hole materialized, sucking Chen Feng in before he could react. He lost consciousness once again.

When he awoke, his soul was no longer in the void. It had arrived in another world—the Naruto world.

Using the technique left behind by Otsutsuki Mitsushiki's sister, Hikari, which activated the Byakugan to search for her bloodline, Chen Feng's soul was drawn toward the world of her descendants. Though originally cut off by Mitsushiki's death, the Byakugan reawakened when Chen Feng fused with his soul.

But even with the fusion, Chen Feng's soul was incomplete. He couldn't reincarnate on his own. The only way to stabilize was to merge with a compatible soul.

That soul was Asura's reincarnation, who hadn't yet been born. So Chen Feng's soul entered the unborn child—Kushina Uzumaki's fetus.

At that exact moment, Kushina paused while cooking.

"Huh? Did something just enter me…? I didn't feel anything. Hah, maybe the Nine-Tails is being moody again. He's probably jealous I'm going to be a mother now!" she laughed. "Forget it. No point arguing with a fox. Let's finish cooking before Minato comes back."

Inside her, the Nine-Tails was stunned.

He had sensed something. An invasive presence.

He used his spiritual senses to scan—but there was nothing. Confused and irritated, he convinced himself it was Kushina's fault. Of course it was her fault. She annoyed him, ruined his mood, blocked his chakra flow—everything was her fault!

Furious, the Nine-Tails unleashed a burst of chakra in protest.

Immediately, he felt more chakra chains wrap around him. The seal tightened. He snarled.

"Crazy woman..." he muttered, seething.

Kushina rolled her eyes. "Nine-Tails, don't act up. You disturbed me. Just behave, okay? I'll cook something tasty for Minato. See ya!"

Silence returned. The fox could only grumble.

Inside the womb, Chen Feng's soul began to merge with Asura's.

Both were incomplete, and needed each other to stabilize.

In the center of it all was a new, blank soul—the newly forming fetus. Their two damaged souls fused into it, strengthening it beyond imagination.

Within this new soul, a storm of memories and emotions raged.

Chen Feng's two lifetimes.

Otsutsuki Mitsushiki's thousand-year legacy.

Asura's cycle of reincarnation, and his endless conflict with Indra.

All of it… merged.

The emotions were too strong—love, hatred, regret, betrayal. Chen Feng's consciousness nearly collapsed.

Then, the eye on his forehead glowed, stabilizing his soul.

All emotions were extracted from the memories—joy, sadness, rage, tenderness—and separated.

On one side, they condensed into a glowing white figure: gentle, elegant.

On the other, they became a dark silhouette: cold, hostile.

Both resembled the unborn child, yet were different.

They looked at each other.

The white one smiled and nodded.

The dark one scoffed, turned, and vanished into the soul.

The white one followed silently.

Chen Feng's soul had fully merged with the fetus.

Cracks formed on its forehead, and an eye—a Byakugan—began to grow.

Its cells pulsed with life, stronger than even a young adult's. No, stronger than a battle-hardened warrior.

The fetus's blood began generating sealing chains—powerful, ancient, flowing like living rivers through its veins.

The vitality was overwhelming. Wounds would heal in seconds. The Byakugan on the forehead gleamed, fully formed.

Chen Feng's consciousness rose from the depths.

A new life was beginning.

To be continued…
