Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: A Girl

"How the hell did I turn into a woman?!"

Looking down, the girl saw a pair of slender, delicate hands. Her fair skin was soft and smooth, glowing under the dim indoor light.

Her center of gravity had shifted forward slightly, and the unexpected weight on her chest was more burdensome than she had imagined. She pulled at the neckline of her camisole and took a quick peek—just a glimpse of those soft, plump buns made her face flush red, and she hurriedly covered herself back up.

They're… actually pretty big. Soft and pinkish…

Did I really turn into a woman?

Still unable to fully accept it, Chen Cheng hesitantly reached down toward the hem of her skirt.

"I'm still here."

An Yuan spoke up just in time, stopping the girl from exploring herself right in front of him.

"But why did I turn into a woman?!"

"Logically speaking, you got drunk last night and said you wanted to be a woman. So, now you are one."

"What kind of beaver logic is that?"

"Very logical," An Yuan shot back, rolling his eyes.

"You still have the mood to play word games with me?"

Chen Cheng immediately straightened up, crossing her legs and sitting upright. Her tense little face turned serious as she nodded. "I was just drunk and talking nonsense! I didn't actually want to be a woman! So, did you wish to be young again last night?"

"No, we just got insanely unlucky—we time-traveled."

"Unlucky?! I didn't do anything bad in my past life!"

An Yuan rubbed the bridge of his nose. "While I was helping you out of the barbecue restaurant, we got hit by a massive cargo truck and time-traveled."

"…"

"It's…" He pulled out a phone, opened the calendar, and showed her. "Ten years ago."

An Yuan sat down on the edge of the bed. "So we're back in our senior year of high school. How could I not look younger?"

Hearing this, Chen Cheng's eyes widened, round and filled with disbelief. Her heart nearly stopped.

"NO WAY!!!"

Chen Cheng collapsed onto the bed, burying her face into the pillow, wailing like a banshee. "Let me sleep again! Take me back! I don't want to redo senior year! This is a nightmare! AHHHHH! I don't want to be a woman either!"

The torment of senior year was something that had haunted her nightmares even after ten years.

She never expected to actually come back to it!

This has to be a dream!

The girl was still in the same camisole nightdress, lying face-down on the bed. Her skirt was in disarray, exposing her white underwear, while the thin fabric of her dress outlined the gentle curve of her waist. Her smooth, plump thighs were sprawled out in plain sight.

An Yuan rubbed his nose.

As a man with the mindset of a 27-year-old, of course, he liked 17- or 18-year-old girls. But the problem was—the beautiful girl in front of him was Chen Cheng, his childhood best friend. The guy he'd once compared sizes with in the bathroom. The guy he was so close to they could've shared the same pair of boxers…

His instincts wanted to sneak a glance, but another part of him felt nothing but revulsion.

How the hell did his best bro turn into such a stunning, natural beauty?

Every little movement, every expression—it all radiated an undeniable charm that would drive men crazy.

His young, energetic body was reacting, but An Yuan calmly pulled the blanket over his lap to cover himself.

"Wait!"

Chen Cheng suddenly jumped up, full of excitement. "We're from ten years in the future! Why the hell would we waste time in school? We should be using our knowledge to get rich!"

She didn't notice anything strange about An Yuan at all. She quickly crawled across the bed toward him, buzzing with excitement. "I remember gold prices skyrocketing! We should buy a few hundred pounds and store it up!"

Chen Cheng grabbed An Yuan's arm, tilting her head up close to him. Her bright, sparkling eyes practically glowed. "Stocks! Electric cars are gonna blow up, right? And Moutai liquor?"

Their faces were less than ten centimeters apart.

An Yuan could see every single delicate eyelash on her face, fluttering playfully as she blinked.

He subtly leaned back, putting some distance between them. "Forget it. This is a parallel world—things might not happen the same way."

"Why would this be a parallel world?"

"Otherwise, would you be a woman?"

Chen Cheng furrowed her brows in disbelief. "Huh…?"

"I checked some gaming news before coming over—S5 was won by an all-Chinese team."

"It is a parallel world! No way! Impossible!"

An Yuan watched as the girl rolled around on the bed in just her camisole, putting everything on display. He sighed and looked away, turning his attention to the bedroom instead.

The room was small, about ten square meters, with warm-colored flooring. There was a 1.5-meter-wide bed, a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe at the foot of it, and a desk with a computer to the side.

Since the room now belonged to a girl, the bedspread and sheets were in soft, girly pink. A hamster-shaped pillow sat on the bedside table, but aside from that, nothing was different from the last life.

An Yuan picked up a test paper from the desk, flipped it open, and skimmed through it. Even after turning into a girl, Chen Cheng was still named Chen Cheng, her handwriting was still as messy as ever—barely legible scrawls—and her grades remained at the lower-middle tier, just enough for an average university.

No, actually… An Yuan wasn't even sure if Chen Cheng could still understand the Pythagorean theorem at this point.

"By the way, how did you get in?"

"I rang the doorbell, but no one answered, so I took the spare key from the shoe cabinet."

"Oh~ That means my mom probably played mahjong all night."

As they talked, a rustling sound came from the side. An Yuan turned his head and saw Chen Cheng standing in front of the wardrobe, about to change clothes.

"Hey! Be mindful! At least tell me to step out first!"

"Hmm?" Chen Cheng glanced at him over her shoulder. "Are you getting shy?"

"No. I'm almost thirty—why would I be shy? But you are a girl now."

Chen Cheng clapped her hands in sudden realization. "Ohhh~ Don't tell me you're tempted by me!"

"Get lost!"

An Yuan instantly snapped, cursing as he got up to leave the room.

But Chen Cheng wasn't done teasing. She grinned and called out, "Hey! I'm so pretty now! I can let my bro have some fun first, you know?"

"Shut up! That's disgusting! Go to hell!"

"Ha! That's the right reaction!"

Watching An Yuan storm off and slam the door, Chen Cheng wrinkled her nose. She lowered her head, looked at her body, and muttered under her breath, "Aren't I the real freak here? Woke up as a woman out of nowhere…"

Sure, a girl's body was nice, something to admire, but she had zero interest in actually being one.

Especially the thought of being pursued by men in the future… or even marrying one…

Goosebumps prickled her arms. She shuddered and shook her head violently. "No, no, no! I'd rather die than get married! Just like in my last life!"

If her family pressured her into marriage, she'd do the same thing as before—run away to another city!

At least she still had a best friend who saw her as just another guy.

Chen Cheng sighed in relief. She yanked off the camisole, barely glancing down before quickly grabbing a pair of pants and a T-shirt from the wardrobe.

No more skirts—ever!

"An Yuan! I'm ready! How about an all-nighter at the internet cafe?"

"It's already past eight, and we have school tomorrow."

An Yuan looked up and immediately noticed the way her white T-shirt swayed as she walked—her soft curves bouncing with every step. He could even faintly see the bulging tips of her breast.

"Shit! I don't want to go back to senior year!"

Chen Cheng grumbled as she stomped over, lifting her arms to drape them over An Yuan's shoulders. She had to tiptoe a little. "Damn, you're so tall now!"

"Or maybe you got shorter?"

An Yuan had no idea where to look. The cool, smooth touch of her bare skin against his neck made him tense. He lowered his head and focused on his phone instead of looking at her. "Just get a good night's rest. No matter what, you have to go to school tomorrow—otherwise, your mom will kill you."

"Ugh~ I skipped classes all the time in college, and nothing happened."

"Oh yeah, before you leave tomorrow, wear a bra."

"Huh?"
