"Father-in-law, long time no see." A handsome middle-aged man in a suit smiled and waved.
"Why are you here?" Senzaemon Nakiri narrowed his eyes, a hint of displeasure on his face. The sudden visit to Japan, and even the personal appearance of his 'good' son-in-law, Azami Nakiri, undoubtedly signaled some action, far more than just building connections.
"I wish to bring about a new revolution for the corrupted culinary world," Azami Nakiri said calmly. "Oh, by the way, isn't Erina here? I haven't seen her in a long time; I miss her." He removed his black gloves, revealing a pair of long, perfectly sculpted hands.
"Erina is doing well; you don't need to feign concern," Senzaemon Nakiri said coldly.
"She is my daughter. Is it wrong to care about her?" Azami Nakiri sighed. "If it weren't for my upbringing, perhaps she would struggle to unleash her talent to such an extreme."
"How dare you say that!" Senzaemon Nakiri narrowed his eyes. "Show him out. I have nothing more to discuss with you." He fell silent.
When Erina was very young, she wasn't raised by her grandfather, but by her biological father, Azami Nakiri. However, Azami, obsessed with cooking and completely engrossed in his twisted ideology, subjected Erina to extreme education and brainwashing. He constantly presented famous dishes from around the world to train Erina Nakiri's God's Tongue. To ensure the God's Tongue reached its peak, he completely isolated Erina's social circle. It could be said that her entire childhood was spent experimenting with and tasting dishes, evaluating them, and learning Azami Nakiri's new culinary concepts. This teaching method also cultivated Erina's aloof and superior personality.
When Senzaemon Nakiri discovered this situation and tried to take over Erina's care, it was too late. Erina had already been molded by her father into a noble culinary mindset, categorizing dishes into different tiers. Commoner dishes, regardless of how delicious they were, would be labeled as inferior by Erina simply because of their ingredients, much to Senzaemon Nakiri's chagrin.
"I'll see myself out. I only came to Japan to tell you incompetent old-school chefs that I am back," Azami Nakiri waved his hand and walked towards the door. "In a few days, I'll go to Totsuki to see Erina."
"I wonder if Erina has made any progress under your care, Father-in-law."
"However, judging by the quality of chefs recently emerging from Totsuki Academy, it's truly, terribly bad, isn't it, Director?" Azami Nakiri turned and chuckled lightly at the end of his statement, then left Senzaemon Nakiri's residence.
Senzaemon Nakiri narrowed his eyes, his face expressionless. It seemed the Japanese culinary world would be anything but peaceful soon. He wondered what exactly Azami Nakiri intended to do now that he was back.

Hachiko Academy's Student Council Meeting
At Private Hachiko Academy, the student council was divided into two departments. One department was the Discipline Student Council, led by Mari Kurihara, which managed the entire academy's disciplinary system. Any disciplinary issues were handled by this department. This council, apart from its president, did not require high academic performance.
The other department was the General Affairs Student Council, which handled various miscellaneous tasks and academic issues. Each semester, positions were determined by academic results. Students with poorer academic performance in a semester's evaluation would undergo a full student council vote based on their work performance. If more than half agreed to let them stay, the member could remain.
Previously, when Private Hachiko Academy was not co-ed, there was only one student council that handled both discipline and general affairs. After it became co-ed, the chairman, considering the academic performance of the entire school, separated discipline and academics, establishing the General Affairs Student Council, which focused more on academic achievements. There was also a dedicated General Affairs Student Council office.
At 1:00 PM, the General Affairs Student Council held its first student meeting. All student council members were present.
"Renz, good afternoon!" Miyuki Shirogane looked at Renz walking in through the door, giving a thumbs-up with a 'peculiar' smile. Renz didn't understand the deeper meaning of the smile, scratching his head, utterly perplexed.
"You must work hard for a wonderful life!" Miyuki Shirogane tried to encourage him.
"Absolutely, absolutely," Renz replied earnestly, just as he used to when he was a professional player, answering his fans' cheers. However, Renz clearly wasn't on Miyuki Shirogane's wavelength.
The next second, someone else walked in. Renz's eyes subtly changed.
"I am Kaguya Shinomiya, the other vice president of the General Affairs Student Council." She walked in and bowed slightly to Renz and Miyuki Shirogane. "According to the rules of the General Affairs Student Council, positions are determined by academic performance each semester."
"My goal is to become the president of the General Affairs Student Council, so those who can't hold their positions should step down quickly," Kaguya Shinomiya said calmly. She comes from a major financial conglomerate, yet she can't speak properly at all, Renz thought to himself. He also hadn't expected that such a small school could simultaneously house two 'sleeping dragons and young phoenixes.' Both Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya would become remarkable entrepreneurs in the future. The most terrifying thing was that these two would be absolute rivals, constantly competing and vying for market share in the future business world.
Who cares? Renz didn't plan to work hard in the student council; he was just there to get a name on his resume. As long as his grades were good in regular exams and he handled his interpersonal relationships well, he wouldn't be kicked out of the student council.
"There's also a secretary named Chika Fujiwara, but she's absent today," Kaguya Shinomiya revealed another piece of information. The entire General Affairs Student Council consisted of only these four students.
Miyuki Shirogane, however, wasn't focused on Kaguya Shinomiya. His mind was entirely on 'how to help Renz become a son-in-law to a prestigious family.'
"Renz, I heard that a cooking club was recently established. I'm very interested in cooking. Should we join the cooking club together?" Miyuki Shirogane subtly sounded him out.
"I'm the one who established that cooking club," Renz said, surprised.
Miyuki Shirogane nearly choked. He was too rash. Without any preparation, how could Renz dare to pursue the Queen of Cuisine!
"However, I disbanded the cooking club," Renz then added.
"Huh... Disbanded?" Miyuki Shirogane was dumbfounded; he hadn't expected such a quick reversal.
"Yes, because no one joined the cooking club, and it couldn't meet the minimum five-person requirement, so I disbanded it," Renz explained the situation. Finding people was a hassle, so Renz disbanded it. Was this logic sound? His cooking skills weren't bad now; he only lacked knife skill proficiency, which he could practice at the rented apartment. He didn't really need the school to practice knife skills.
"It's alright, I can research cooking at home too," Renz hadn't realized Miyuki Shirogane was also a cooking enthusiast.
"I'm very interested in cooking!" Miyuki Shirogane said after deep thought. "However, my cooking skills are very poor, so I want to learn more about cooking at school."
"Renz, it's a pity you disbanded the cooking club."
"How about we re-establish a cooking club?" Miyuki Shirogane slowly revealed his idea, believing that this way, Renz could find a way to practice his cooking skills at school and use it to marry the Queen of Cuisine, Erina.
"You want to learn to cook too?" Renz instinctively blurted out. But he wasn't a coach. However, Renz was actually very good at taking on apprentices; he would later have disciples all over the world, becoming a patriarch in the culinary industry.
"Yes, my sister always thinks my cooking is very mediocre," Miyuki Shirogane said, scratching his head. This was why he kept watching cooking shows and reading cooking magazines.
Renz thought about it carefully. Miyuki Shirogane was male, so the simulator wouldn't trigger a 'Shirogane route.' Teaching him a few cooking skills wouldn't be a problem. If Miyuki Shirogane really had talent, wouldn't he be cultivating a capable assistant for his own culinary journey?
"But the cooking club needs five people to be established," Renz mused.
"That's easy to solve. I'll find a few people to just list their names for the club," Miyuki Shirogane's 'good guy' trait, once triggered, was unstoppable.
Renz froze. This classmate, Shirogane, seemed to be secretly trying to give him a push for something. But Renz thought for a while and still couldn't fathom his intentions.
Never mind. He should focus on what dish to prepare for the God's Tongue judging panel this weekend. Even if the judges were on his side, the prepared dish still had to be presentable. However, Renz had already decided what dish he would use this weekend.
