Renz finds himself at a loss when it comes to Mashiro Shiina. Intellectually, she is incredibly sharp, possessing an exceptional talent for learning and drawing. However, in many other areas, Mashiro remains like a blank slate—completely unaware and needing to be taught everything. If she were younger, this wouldn't be such a problem, but at her age, it's an awkward in-between phase.

Renz knows that being overly affectionate isn't ideal, but some things just have to be done. He eagerly awaits Erina's move-in, though he knows that, given her situation, cohabitation might still be too soon. Hiring a female nanny is also out of the question, as it might expose his relationship with Erina—especially considering her public profile. These thoughts linger in his mind as he enters the apartment.

Upon entering, Renz finds Mashiro Shiina sitting on the sofa, hugging her knees, quietly watching a movie. As soon as she notices Renz, she greets him with a flat tone.

"Welcome home," she says.

"I'm back," Renz responds, nodding in acknowledgment and sitting beside her on the sofa.

"Today I met a new friend at school, Nanami Aoyama," Mashiro informs him.

"You made a new friend? That's great!" Renz replies, relieved. He had been concerned that Mashiro might be lonely at school. The loneliness of having no friends at that age can be overwhelming, especially since friendships formed during such a time tend to last a lifetime.

"Does Renz have friends?" Mashiro asks, her voice calm, making Renz pause. His concept of friends feels hazy, tangled with the passing of time. He has friends, yet it feels as though decades have passed without contact. Among those studying in Japan, true friends are rare, though not nonexistent.

"Yes," Renz answers.

"Are we friends?" Mashiro asks innocently, looking up at him.

"We are friends," Renz confirms quickly, trying to steer the conversation. "Next weekend, your cousin Erina will be staying over for the night. Just wanted to give you a heads-up. By the way, are you hungry, Mashiro? I'll make you some dinner."

Mashiro nods. "I am a little hungry."

"Thank you," she adds, her attention momentarily diverted.

Renz heads to the kitchen, but as he passes the balcony, he notices laundry hanging out—underwear and panties included. He sets down the idea of cooking for a moment, walking over to gather the clothes into a laundry basket. Blue and white striped panties flutter in the breeze, and Renz takes a deep breath before neatly folding everything. Afterward, he heads into the kitchen to prepare the meal.

Meanwhile, his newly uploaded food video has garnered just over a thousand views, which is dismal compared to the hundreds of thousands his gaming videos have received on his main account, "Professional Player RENZ" on Y-tube. His previous videos, featuring gaming highlights and voice content from professional matches, have been far more popular. The comments on his cooking video are sparse, and many are teasing jabs from his fans.

"Lord isn't doing his job? Gave up farming to become a chef?"

"Chef is online."

"Good grief, this is literally growing vegetables in my mouth."

"Wow, Bro can cook too?"

"Hold on, why do I hear a girl speaking Japanese?"

"Didn't Lord say he went to Japan to study abroad?"

"Got it, Lord's move... he went to Japan to pick up a wife."

Some of his fans refer to Renz as "Lord," and amidst the teasing comments, one catches his attention:

"This is hilarious, everyone, look! The main character in that Japanese 'God's Tongue' food show looks just like Lord!"

Renz is surprised. Does the Philippines watch the "God's Tongue" evaluation show too?

"That's definitely not Lord. I checked the interview subtitles; it says that a young chef has a girlfriend. With Lord's personality, could he really have a girlfriend?"

"If Lord can have a girlfriend, I'll open a harem at school right now."

"The European host who interviewed Lord almost cried halfway through the interview. It's the first time I've seen someone use such a 'big move' to counter. With that emotional intelligence, a girlfriend? Don't make me laugh."

Renz's lips twitch at the teasing, sighing. He knows that interview was an accident—he didn't intend to show off but wanted to save face for the host. Who knew food culture was so profound? Yet, his fans never let him live it down. And still, no one believes he can cook.

But Renz doesn't let these things bother him. He continues recording the second installment of his cooking video, focusing on what he enjoys without caring about others' judgments. Uploading food videos and being a content creator is just a way to maintain the stability of the world line.

Twenty minutes later, Renz sets the meal on the living room table. Just as he's about to head to his room for a rest, Mashiro Shiina calls out to him.

She returns from her room, holding out a manga.

"Look at my manga," Mashiro says. "I've been drawing this for the past few days. I want to submit it to a publisher soon."

Renz takes the manuscript, his eyes scanning the first page. Her art style is exquisite—flawless character designs and beautifully drawn lines. As he reads the content, though, his face falls.

"On the first day of her return to the country, a sixteen-year-old girl meets her brother-in-law at the airport..."

The terminology used in the manga's narration is suspiciously misleading. Anyone unfamiliar with the context might mistake it for a suggestive story. And to make matters worse, the plot is clearly based on Renz himself!

The female protagonist's monologue reads:

"Brother-in-law makes many wonderful and delicious dishes."

"I really like them."

Renz is stunned. The characters in the manga are speaking as if they're talking about him. Doesn't she feel any shame? As he looks at Mashiro Shiina, he sees no sign of self-awareness.

No! Mashiro simply doesn't understand what shame is.

Renz groans internally. "Why do I have such a criminal inner monologue?" he mutters, reading the male protagonist's internal dialogue, labeled as "brother-in-law." The character feels a surge of blood at the thought of the girl.

"How's the drawing?" Mashiro asks eagerly, chewing slowly, her eyes filled with expectation.

Renz faces an internal dilemma—should he encourage her or not? If he praises her, the content of the manga might become even more outrageous. But if he doesn't encourage her, it'll crush the hopeful look in her eyes. Mashiro came all the way from England to Japan to pursue her dream of becoming a manga artist.

"The drawing is good, but the plot isn't," Renz finally says, taking a deep breath. His goal is to encourage her while subtly steering her away from such topics.

"Plot?" Mashiro Shiina pauses, a thoughtful expression on her face. But then her thoughts seem to wander, her eyes zoning out.

"What's wrong with the plot?" she asks again, clearly puzzled, trying to understand what's wrong.
