Year 1907
Europa
Deutsches Reich.
The Deutsches Reich is a powerful nation that was born through discipline and domination of power. It was an empire that was born through blood and war, upon the defeat of Francia and finally the crowning of the Kaiser in Versailles where an armistice occurred.
However this was the story of this world, very similar to the world of earth. A similarity so to speak. Just why am I speaking in such a manner?
"Well so to speak this isn't my world, this is a different world."
A voice of a calm and soothing tone, his smooth white skin followed by his flowing hair that reaches his neck. A pure black hair with a tint of red on the bangs, and his pure lilac eyes. But something was different his ears were sharp like a fairy, to be precise he can be called an elf in his real world, but in this world this was normal.
His race was called the Elfen race, or in English an elf. "Well why am I in another world? That is easy to answer, because I died and that's it." He wrote in his book that contains a lot of personal information.
Continuing his remarks, his name is Wilhelm Von Pomerania, Pomerania was the birthplace of his family, they were nobles with the rank of Graf (Count), despite having the rank of Graf he is the next heir.
He stopped writing for the moment, and looked outside his window. He is currently in Berlin, the Capital city of the Deutsches Reich. He could feel the vibrant warmth of the city, and the people along with the children that made it lively and so colorful.
Despite the grim future knowledge he held, if this is indeed following the same route of his old world, then Weltkrieg Eins (World War one) is near, and finally the abdication of the Kaiser, and the rise of Weimar Republic.
"Well this is the other world, so maybe the chances of that happening is slim! I just hope so… considering the Deutsches Reich already owns Alsace-Lorraine, well guess it is a grim future that I have right now… what a dilemma." He muttered, while preparing to go outside with his coat.
"I just need to live and enjoy my life. It's already been 20 years since I was born and considering I'm an Elfen race, I might as well survive and see Zweiter Weltkrieg… on second thought scratch that… I don't know what kind of future will happen." He sighs and continues his stroll around the streets of Berlin.
Being surrounded by Elfen with beautiful features and astonishing faces that are smooth as if there's no hard work in them, but with the help of magic it can be mitigated.
Magic exists, and by Magic through science, where one's power can be channeled into weapons and fire upon the enemy dealing enough damage to take them out in a battle.
Basically the guns of this era each bullets are magic conductors that can be used like an APHE or Armor Piercing High Explosive, or sometimes a pure Armor Piercing Bullet.
The technological advances of this world are quite faster than earth. Due to magic being part of science, the planes that are supposed to be successfully flown happened way early in 1900, while on earth it happened in 1903 by the Wright Brothers.
It was a technological marvel, as planes now began to be more part of the society, despite them being still made of wood.
He shifted his head around looking for something, until somebody bumps into him and it was a child, and accompanied by his mother.
"A noble! I'm so sorry for my child, please forgive us!" The Elfen mother asks for the apologies.
"All is forgiven, just be careful and look at where you are going next time." Wilhelm kneeled down to help the child that bumped into him.
The child nodded, he was gentle when dealing with this kind of situation. He smiled, which the child smiled back.
"Thank you!" The Elfen mother bowed.
He just waves at them, and says his farewell. Walking forward he finally saw the place that he was looking for.
It was a simple building and at the front was an open table, and the building was a library. He went inside and he was greeted by the librarian.
"Good Afternoon Graf Wilhelm."
"Good Afternoon as well, Graf Sigrid." Graf Sigrid another noble, just like Wilhelm. Both of them are friends since Sigrid was the one who helped Wilhelm in Berlin.
Sigrid Von Moltke, from the Moltke Family, is currently handling the Library that she built with her own hard earned money. Despite being a noble she chose to be a librarian due to her thirst for knowledge. Sigrid was a beautiful Elfen, her striking purple hair, paired up with some braids around shoulders, and glasses that accompanied her with striking blue eyes, and a smooth like snow white skin.
"How's business?" He asks.
"Do you see any people?"
"Guess it's just me today." Wilhelm pondered to look around each aisle to see some books that he wanted to read.
"So what are you looking for?"
"Any books regarding the Francia-Prussia War?"
"Sadly we don't have any books regarding the war, however we have some books regarding the unification of the Deutsches Reich. Well they're not that hard to come by, however getting them is the problem."
"Prices?"
"Expensive, I'm currently saving up some funds for the moment. Unless you want to invest in me." Sigrid said with a smirk, while winking at him.
"I'll think about it." He said with a smile.
"That's a promise." Sigrid smiled and pushed her glasses back.
"Sure…" He just looks at Sigrid happily walking around the isles and cleaning each shelf and correcting them alphabetically.
"So any future plans?"
"I was gonna plan to enroll in Kriegsakademie, but decided not to for now."
"You're applying for the Military?"
"Yeah but I want to take my time and enjoy it for the time being."
"How about a job?"
"Currently I might go for being a writer or something, but for now I'll postpone them for the moment."
"Where are you going then?"
"Well I'm probably gonna be travelling for the time being."
"Where?"
"To Francia if I can."
"Francia, well if you are going there then be careful, the stench of hate from Francia still exists ever since we have won the war against them." Sigrid warns him about the danger of being an Elfen in Francia.
"Yeah I know."
"Good, now I can only just give you a piece of good luck."
"I'm not gonna die yet." Both of them laugh, as their friendship was similar to that of a family.
"Either way, I can't find anything that I wanted for now."
"Alright, you can stay here if you want to rest."
"Thanks Sigrid, but I have to go for now."
"Alright but remember to say goodbye if you're about to depart." Sigrid waves her farewell.
"I'll see you soon, and don't worry I will never forget it." Wilhelm left the library, leaving Sigrid alone in her business.
He looked upon the sky and where the sun was about to set. "It's almost dusk." He took a step further and went back home to his apartment where he is currently living at the moment.
He doesn't flaunt his wealth, rather he lives in a comfortable and efficient way of saving his money.
Finally in front of his door, after minutes of walking back he felt comfort. The moment he opened the door he was greeted by an empty room, but a sense of safety and relaxation slowly surrounded him.
"Well life isn't so bad, but I want to see more of this world before it descends into Weltkrieg…"
His lilac eyes stared at the empty ceiling, and remembered his past life. He smiled knowing he was satisfied with his old life, but now he starts anew with his memory intact from the past.
For this is just the beginning, before the world unveils before him. What stories shall be told before him…
