Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Heart's possession

There is a problem though "I don't have money, even if just a pocket change. I felt bitter losing my room, my vault, my money" with despaired mutters, still looking at the vivid ceiling of the break room.

Money. Is there something can i substitute? Hmm. Wait, I think i remembered something I almost forgot due to the confusions happening in my surroundings. "Right, the pouch! It was on my waist all this time, I'm such an idiot for forgetting this".

There could be something here that I could sell for vlaris or they're might even be vlaris here. But if it's too precious to sell, do i have to borrow from Chloe?. I fear if she act like a loanshark later and demanded me something ridiculous.

Or there could possibly be magic beast skins in here. If master asked for magic scrolls then there shouldn't be in this pouch though. I rummaged through what's inside the pouch and as I dug deeper, my finger brushed into unexpected expanse. I draw back my hand and instead use my perception to see through inside.

This.. has a much deeper room inside, felt like it was bottomless. "So it's a void storage" I murmured, a slow grin spreading across my face. "this changes everything, let's see what do we have here"

I couldn't see what's inside in this pouch so I just once again let my hand seek inside. And got a grab on things and I found inside. Another poach containing gold coins.

I gaped, my eyes wide with shock. "A thousand gold coins? That's equivalent to 100 million vlaris! This is insane! What kind of person would carries this kind of wealth around?!" it might be me before I knew it. With how old fashioned master dress, no way he'll flaunt this. I wonder Why the hell master gave me this too much, but.. Master you've truly given the keys of the kingdom. With this wealth the possibilities are endless!.

I feel a surge of confidence, now the orvel who is worrying about money vanished. Now I'm someone who's worrying about how to used it up.

As I continued to rummage through, my eyes widened in awe. A treasure trove of goodies lay before me.

Majestic weaponry that shone with an otherworldly glow, high-tier potions that promised unparalleled strength and vitality, and magic crystals that hummed with ancient power. This haul was insane! It's as if, master is giving most of his inheritance... What could possibly go wrong on the other side, my home.

And then, I found it a heart-shaped jelly-like crystal that seemed almost... alive. Its black-white colors swirled and pulsed, like a living thing. "master had such a thing hidden in the poach?" I hesitated, my fingers hovering over its gelatinous surface. Was it magic, or was I just imagining the strange sensation that it was watching me?

My heart skipped a beat as the crystal suddenly sprouted eyes, its gaze locking onto mine with an unblinking stare. I recoiled, my mind racing with fear. But before I could react, the crystal began to writhe and pulse, its monochrome colors bleeding into a mad swirl. Then, in a horror beyond comprehension, it began to seep into my skin, its gelatinous form dissolving into a thousand tiny tendrils that spread through my body like a dark, viscous stain. I felt it coursing through my veins, infusing my very being with its strange, alien power.

Then that thing dissappeared inside me like nothing happened. I'm alright and intact. And it doesn't seems like it has a side effects. Or there is. Then after that I started to hallucinate... I saw something floating in front of me, a screen of sort. I saw this before. In a futuristic world in the outerworlds. An holographic stationary floatingscreen. With word contained [Rebooting]. Whenever I look it followed unnaturally staying still in my sight. "W-what was that, i thought I'm going to die.. A-Also what's this thing in the front?!" freaking out and stuttering. Then I noticed something in my hand. I tried not to thing about, possibly just a trick in the mind that slimy thing induced into my mind. I felt something on my hand instead.

That gelatinous substance left a piece of paper. Sitting at my hand. I read it and it had Master's signature. Master?.

(I'm sorry my dear boy. The time had come. The moment you read this letter means that you have accepted it.)

"Accepted my ass! It force itself on we i thought I'm going to die" I inserted. But, it's strange. It looks like a fairwell letter. He told me we'll met again or he'll be waiting till I'm back. I feel nervous, what's going on?

The message continued (accepting the grace of the magic God, it's heart is the greatest honor you have brought to your kin. I am sorry for not saving your mother. Whom will be my greatest regret as long as I lived) I am deeply bewildered, deeply curious, and sad. I couldn't understand what I'm feeling. I sense tears flowing into my eyes. No, just a speck of dust in my eyes, sniff.

I continued to read it(with this power you will inherit, use it well and work hard, there will be a day when you struggles and in peril. Your newfound power will guide you to safety, strengthen you and be your companion eternally. Your Elven heritage course through your blood. Seek your brethren. Vanquish the fallen. And put an end to this world's misery) and at the last word. His signature in the fin.

I feel deeply and overwhelmingly devastated yet unease. As uncertainty run through me. Elves? Magic god? Fallen? I'm frustrated. I'm sad. Mixed with deep curiosity as my mind seeking unfounded answers. There's one thing that is certain. Something bad is happening to the dungeon!! I have to get their immediately. I need to do something.

[beep... Beep.. Transfer success! Restoring functionality.] a mechanical yet beautiful tone of a girl could be heard directly into my head.
