Chapter 43 - What I Lost to Find

🌙 The Room Was Quiet

Stone walls.

Warding circles etched into the floor.

A soft breeze pushed through the cracked window.

The Demon King opened his eyes — slowly, painfully. His body still ached, soul still burning.

He could barely move.

But he was awake.

And in that silence, he remembered everything.

The spell. The beasts. His mother. His sister, Aira, reaching for him.

And then… nothing.

👑 The Queen Enters

She stepped into the room with no guards. No crown. No armor.

Just her voice.

"You're awake."

He didn't answer at first.

Only turned his head.

His eyes — bloodshot, tired, filled with hurt — locked on hers.

"Why did you bring me back."

"I was happy."

💔 "You Took Me From Them"

"For the first time in my entire life," he said slowly, "I had something worth living for."

"A mother who smiled. A father who fought for us. A sister who…"

His voice caught.

"Who never once looked at me with fear."

"And you ripped that from me."

The Queen swallowed. She didn't try to justify it.

She simply said:

"I had no choice."

"Ashura has taken everything."

"If we didn't act… this continent would be gone."

⏳ A Ray of Hope

But then — the Queen remembered.

The scroll. The decoding. The old theory buried deep in forbidden magic.

"The spell we used," she said gently, "wasn't just a summon."

"It's built on the same laws as the Frozen Time Chamber."

"If I'm right… time in your other world hasn't moved."

"Not even a second."

He froze.

Breath caught in his throat.

"You're saying…"

"When I return…"

"They'll still be there."

The Queen nodded.

For the first time since his return — the fury in his aura began to fade.

🔍 The Truth Revealed

The Queen sat beside him, slowly.

"There's something else you should know."

"About your birth."

"The prophecy."

"And why… they called you Demon."

He listened.

To everything.

The missing mark.

The panic.

The desperation of a crumbling kingdom grasping for control.

The lies.

The fear.

The betrayal.

And the guilt that followed — even after he was gone.

🚪 "They've Been Waiting"

"Your brother and sister," the Queen said quietly, "have been outside your door for days."

"Too ashamed to face you."

"But they never stopped waiting."

He closed his eyes.

For a moment, he saw Aira's face again.

Then — his old siblings.

Once enemies.

Now just… people.

Wounded. Like him.

"Let them in," he whispered.

🧍🧍 The Reunion

They entered slowly.

Seraphina.

And the brother who once raised a sword against him.

The air thickened with silence.

No tears. Not at first.

Just pain.

Unspoken.

Then Seraphina stepped forward.

"I don't deserve to be called your sister," she said.

"I should've stood by you."

"But I was scared. Blind."

"I never hated you… I just didn't understand you."

"Not until it was too late."

He stared at her.

And for a moment — he saw Aira again.

Same eyes. Same strength. Same guilt.

He smiled bitterly.

"Aira would've been just as strong at your age."

⚖️ "We Both Did Wrong"

The brother remained silent — unable to meet his eyes.

But the Demon King broke the silence.

"Ten years of torment," he said softly.

"Fifteen years of revenge."

"We both did wrong."

"No one wins this war."

Then — he told them.

About the reincarnated world.

The sister who laughed.

The father who bled for him.

The mother who never doubted him.

And as he spoke, his siblings realized —

All the love they never gave him…

…was given freely by strangers.
