Another moon... Ep-5
Yamato arrives late to school, expecting the teacher to scold him. He dashes into the building only to find every student standing and staring at the notice board. Curious, Yamato approaches and sees a notice for the annual school day. He scans the list of competitions, feeling a wave of dizziness, before heading to class to resume his daily routine of sleeping.
Suddenly, Toko appears. "Hey Yamato, which activity are you going to join?" she asks.
"I'm not interested in that kind of stuff. Leave me alone," he grumbles.
"Hey, I'm the school's student body president," Toko explains, pleadingly. "Every student must participate in at least one activity, so you have to participate in one too, please!"
Yamato shakes his head. "No."
"Okay then, I'll sign you up for dance myself," Toko threatens.
"No!" Yamato protests.
Toko calmly replies, "Calm down, bro. I'll sign your name for a pair dance, so you'll make your pair with Jun." Yamato freezes. "But, but, I don't even know how to dance! How can I dance with her?"
Toko assures him, "She'll train you to dance, okay?"
Yamato reluctantly agrees. Jun, who had been there the whole time, catches his eye, and he blushes. "Okay, Yamato, don't worry, I'll teach you how to dance," Jun says kindly. Yamato agrees, and the next day, they begin their practice. Yamato struggles at first, but Jun patiently trains him, helping him achieve something akin to a professional dance.
The annual day arrives. Everyone is dancing, and Yamato is visibly nervous.
Jun approaches him, takes his hand, and squeezes it. "Don't worry, I'll be there with you. I'll show you how to dance, okay?" she reassures him. Yamato lets out a relieved breath and, for the first time since they met, he smiles. Jun sees his smile and blushes. Toko watches them from a distance, thinking, Finally, Yamato has a loyal partner after Rin. I'm so proud.
Now it's Yamato and Jun's turn. They begin to dance beautifully, astounding everyone with Yamato's unexpected talent. For their final move, Yamato lifts Jun into the air effortlessly. As he slowly lowers her, their faces draw closer. Jun yearns for a kiss, but suddenly realizes they're on a stage. Blushing fiercely, she runs off. Yamato thanks everyone, then steps off the stage himself. Toko runs up to them. "Hey guys, you were amazing, right?"
Yamato and Jun look at each other, smiling and blushing cutely. Toko says, "Okay, let's meet tomorrow."
The next day, Yamato is sleeping in the classroom when Jun enters. Students immediately swarm her, excitedly showing her a picture. "Hey Jun, you were so amazing yesterday! Look!" they exclaim, showing her a photo of Yamato lifting her on stage. "What the fuck? Who posted this?!" Jun demands.
Yamato wakes up and tells everyone to be quiet. He notices the students circling Jun, steps inside, and asks, "What happened?" Jun shows him the photo. Yamato's expression darkens. Furious, he heads to Toko's class and starts chasing her, intending to beat her up.
Toko runs away with a mischievous giggle and hides in a storeroom. She hears footsteps and quickly conceals herself. Then, she hears Hajime's voice. Hajime is telling his gang members, "I want Jun no matter what. If that Yamato guy still interferes with me, I'll definitely kill him!" Toko is stunned. She stands up abruptly and starts running. She sees Yamato, still furious and coming to confront her, but he notices her terrified expression. Hajime is standing in front of him.
"Why are you so frightened?" Yamato asks Toko.
"Nothing, let's just get out of here!" she insists.
Yamato grabs her hand and squeezes it. "What happened?!" he demands.
Toko tells him everything she heard. Yamato looks at Hajime. "Hey, is all this true?"
Hajime replies, "Yes, you son of a bitch! I did say that. If you're a problem to me in the process of attaining Jun, then I'll kill you!"
Yamato starts laughing. "Hey, you," he says, his voice laced with menace, "I love Jun, and I'll definitely not give her to such a bastard! So come, kill me now!" Hajime, filled with rage, charges at Yamato with a powerful blow, but Yamato easily dodges it. "Is that all you've got?" Yamato taunts. "Now it's my turn to give you back what you gave me, right?" Yamato delivers a swift kick to Hajime's face, sending him sprawling a few yards away. Yamato warns Hajime and his gang, "Don't you dare get close to Jun again, or else I'll kill every single one of you." He then issues an open challenge to Hajime: "I'll confess my feelings to Jun at 12 o'clock on Mount Fuji, on 4/12/2018. Come there and kill me in front of Jun." He then leaves with Toko.
The next day, Jun walks to school, joined by Hajime. Jun notices a significant scar on Hajime's face and asks him about it. He replies, "Yamato said, 'If you want sorry, is that enough? Go and beg her to be my love.'" Jun is shocked. She walks into class, suddenly slaps Yamato in front of everyone, and shouts, "Hey! I don't even love you anymore, okay?! I'm done with it!" She runs away in tears. Yamato thinks, Okay, Hajime has started to play with her feelings, so I can't talk until she understands by herself.
The school day ends. As Jun starts to leave, Yamato grabs her hand. "Hey Jun, please understand me," he pleads. Jun forcefully shakes his hand off and leaves him. Yamato is heartbroken. From a distance, Hajime watches Yamato, smiling like a devil. You're done for, motherfucker... Yamato thinks.
