Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Money Tree

Gu Ning nodded slightly, pleasantly surprised by the result.

After saying goodbye to Windsor and the others, he called over Little Blue and fed it a Lingyuan Golden Fruit.

Little Blue gained three attribute points, all in strength.

He checked its stats:

Little Blue / Deep Sea Giant Whale (Blue Quality)Level: 6Strength: 35Agility: 30Defense: 30Skills: Ram, Bite

Over the past two days, Little Blue had been hunting on its own and had reached level 6.

Gu Ning patted its head and sent it off to continue hunting.

He then went to do some fishing.

The afternoon passed quickly! Even though the drop rate had increased, there still wasn't anything too great.

Only one blueprint from the afternoon could be considered a decent find:

Silk Pajamas Blueprint (Permanent Use): Used to make finely crafted and comfortable sleepwear. Permanent use.Materials Required: Silk ×5

This was a nice find. Gu Ning decided to keep it for himself and make some clothes. He also saw business potential—he could buy silk, produce the pajamas, and sell them on the trading channel for a profit.

After dinner, Gu Ning built a few wooden beds, tables, and other living essentials, placing them in the three cabins.

He also purchased straw and cloth, assigning the civilians to lay them down. That way, any new civilians summoned in the future could move in directly.

Originally, Gu Ning wanted to provide comfortable bedding for them too, but after searching the trading channel, he couldn't find any. It seemed those kinds of items had an extremely low appearance rate for some reason.

Back in the core cabin, Windsor was already lying under the covers, while Huohuo was outside recharging—seemingly content with her new role for the time being.

Gu Ning didn't go to bed immediately. Instead, he took out the blueprint for the warning device and began construction.

Over the course of the afternoon, he'd managed to gather all the necessary materials.

Build.

A golden orb appeared, mounted on a base with a one-meter diameter. Beside it was a glass orb about the size of a fist with a small light inside.

Gu Ning examined the parts: the glass orb was the alarm indicator, while the golden one served as the sensor.

He called over three civilians to help move the golden orb to the front of the ship.

Once everything was in place, Gu Ning took off his outerwear, lifted the covers, and lay down in bed.

Windsor naturally curled up against him, rubbing her head against his chest.

Gu Ning lowered his head and gently kissed her forehead.

He then opened up the day's trade list from Wang Mu. After skimming through it, he didn't see anything particularly valuable—except a green-quality cup and spoon, which he bought for 50 white stones each.

These items were seen as junk by most people, so Gu Ning added a five-white-stone premium. The seller accepted immediately and even complimented him on his generosity.

Gu Ning asked them to help spread the word—that he was interested in high-quality living goods. They agreed enthusiastically.

These things might be useless to others, but to Gu Ning, they were valuable. His talent could turn them into treasure.

He started with the cup and activated his ability.

New Blueprint Acquired:Deluxe Bedding Set Blueprint (Blue Quality): Luxurious bedding that improves sleep quality and restores mental energy more efficiently.Materials Required: Cotton ×50, Fabric ×15

It turned out to be a lifestyle item. Gu Ning realized these kinds of high-quality items didn't add stats but simply made life more comfortable.

He stored it away to build tomorrow.

Using his talent once more, he obtained:

Solar Lantern (Blue Quality): Automatically absorbs sunlight during the day and provides light at night.Materials Required: Broken Circuit Boards ×5, Iron ×5, Copper ×5, Tungsten Filaments ×2

Another lifestyle item. Gu Ning suspected that the results of his talent were influenced by the type of item he used. Since he'd been using lifestyle goods, he kept receiving more of them.

He began wondering—was his talent evolving in that direction? Could he eventually create whatever he needed just by thinking of it?

That would be ideal.

Although the lantern wasn't a battle item, Gu Ning wasn't disappointed. Up until now, he had been relying on candles purchased from the trading channel for lighting. With this lantern, his quality of life had taken another step forward.

If he kept improving things bit by bit each day, eventually, his wooden ship would become a luxurious cruise ship—armed for battle, of course.

Gu Ning opened the trading channel and searched again. He only managed to buy two broken circuit boards.

Nothing more to do there, so he posted the following buy requests:

30 White StonesWanted: Broken Circuit Boards ×3

40 White StonesWanted: Tungsten Filaments ×2

After shouting out in the chat channel again, he let it be.

For the last use of his talent today, Gu Ning took out a Gold Stone.

He hesitated—should he risk it?

It was worth 10,000 white stones. If the transformation turned it into something useless like a purple crystal, he'd be devastated.

After some thought, Gu Ning decided to go for it.

He wasn't in urgent need of funds right now, and even after all the upgrades, he still had around 6,000 white stones left.

Activate Talent.

A flash of golden light.

In his hands appeared a small tree about fifty centimeters tall. On its branches hung several white stones—and a few purple ones too.

Money Tree (Special Item): Produces a random amount of currency daily.

Seeing the description, Gu Ning burst out laughing. He'd hit the jackpot!

He picked all the currency off the tree—over 500 white stones in total.

Even if he did nothing from now on, he'd still earn around 500 white stones a day. If he got lucky, he might even receive another gold stone.

Gu Ning placed the money tree on the floor.

Then, unable to hold back any longer, he wrapped his arms around Windsor and kissed her hard on the lips. During his earlier use of the talent, she'd been snuggling up against his chest, stirring his desire the entire time.

Windsor was startled at first and resisted a little, but soon she responded with soft murmurs and faint gasps.

She had noticed how Gu Ning had looked at the dragon girl earlier today and had been feeling a little jealous—that's why she had been teasing him all evening.

Gu Ning was no longer content with just kissing. He wanted more—he climbed the mountain, basking in its stunning views, while Windsor let out a muffled moan, her strength fading rapidly.

Just as Gu Ning was about to go further, Windsor gently pushed against him. He paused and released her.

Her cheeks were flushed red, eyes brimming with watery emotion, and from their recent "battle," a bit of her smooth, pale skin at her waist had been revealed.
