Chapter 6 - Sudden Attack

"For Kel'thuzad!!!"

"For Kel'thuzad!!!"

Several screams can be heard throughout the Carne village, the soldiers who were pierced by the glowing green droplets begin to mutate.

Their bodies formerly covered by solid metal armor expand at great speed, their organs deform as they exhude a strange strength.

Inside their silver armor their bodies begin to rot at great speed, their skins dry out, their brains mutate, slowly turning into little zombies inside their silver armor.

The minds of the men in silver armor, fathers of families, brothers, sons, and men who at the end of the day have to bring home the bread, slowly give way.

For a moment, images of their loved ones flash through their minds before this image is replaced by absolute loyalty to Kel'thuzad.

Enri Emmot watches this with absolute fear, hugging her little sister and close to the soldier who just killed her friends.

Her eyes dilated, her body trembling, her mind completely taken over by fear and her breathing agitated.

"Watch them..." the thought of Enri Emmot is intrusive, this little voice whispering things in her mind has been with her since she turned five.

"Watch as they slowly fall into madness... fucking bastards, they deserved it, they were... trash," the voice inside Enri Emmot murmurs, she watches Hiyama in the sky and in her a feeling of gratitude begins to grow.

A moment later the soldiers that were slaughtering the villagers before have completely transformed into zombies, tireless, no thoughts, no ideas, simply lackeys of Kel'thuzad, these zombies stand up before they start to leave the village Carne.

Observing all this from a not too far distance Ainz Ooal Gown brings a skeletal hand to his chin, albedo behind him covered in full purple armor awaits his orders.

From Ainz's observations, Hiyama is a necromancer, his level is still something Ainz dare not guess, but, Ainz still feels slightly confident in his ring to return to Nazarick in case something goes wrong and you have to withdraw.

Ainz raises a hand to signal Albedo.

"Stay here for the time being, if you see it gets complicated, then you could come help me," Ainz gives clear and consise orders.

Albedo, about to refuse raises her head, although she looks like a female battle-tank with beautiful curves under that purple armor, her silhouette makes her look attractive and pretty.

Ainz mentally swallows saliva due to albedo's action, though he has no trachea, "Ahem, I need to check who or what that human is, for now, just stay here..." Ainz orders in a voice that he thinks was imposing, however, his voice sounded like that of a husband who was late for dinner.

Albedo nods her head without saying a word before blushing and moving a little closer to Ainz.

...

Hiyama observes the Carne village, it can be said that everything in the village is a disaster, almost a quarter of the inhabitants of the village were killed in a cruel way, remains of those people are everywhere, on the roofs of the houses, on the ground, their blood runs through small rivers formed throughout the village.

In this gloomy atmosphere the survivors stand up trembling, they still watching Hiyama in the sky clench their fists with rage, a rage against the soldiers, not against Hiyama.

Small, intense waves of resentment wash over their hearts, their minds influenced by Hiyama's necromancer aura can't stop thinking of ways to take revenge.

Although each of the survivors of the Carne village has an independent thought thanks to free will, each of them agrees on one thing, the Re-estize kingdom has betrayed them.

If that were not the case, Why would the kingdom send soldiers to annihilate them?, however, Why would they?

The question of why seems to gain less strength in their minds as the thirst for revenge begins to consume them.

Little by little, each of them, without realizing it, were being influenced by Kel'thuzad's magic.

The soldiers in silver armor were turned into zombies that follow Kel'thuzad's orders and now they leave the village to form a squad not far from the village.

"Looks like they are coming, boy, a necromancer is not someone who fights melee, but seems today you have no escape, the one watching you is comming..." the ghostly voice of Kel'thuzad echoes in Hiyama's mind.

Hiyama himself turns around in mid-air, watching in the distance as an existence with a mask-covered face and exquisitely ornate silk robes decorated with jewels slowly approaches his direction.

"It's not human, it's an energy similar to us, boy, you need to test the water, if everything gets out of control I can take over..." Kel'thuzad mutters in Hiyama's mind before falling silent.

There was a slight moment of silence, a light wind bringing some coldness hits Hiyama's face, he holds the staff of the last necromancer in his hand tightly, he can feel the tension, the weight exerted against him as he simply watches the strange existence approaching is immense.

Like him, the other existence has a staff, but that one is a golden staff, exuqisitely decorated and shiny.

"Who are you?" Hiyama asks aloud, removing his hood from his head to reveal his classic Japanese villain's face.

On the other hand, Ainz doesn't answer for a moment, his skeleton hand pressing his staff hard before licking his lips, though he has no lips, no tongue.

"My name is Momonga, I am a wandering mage, I came because I glimpsed from a distance a massacre against innocent people...", Ainz introduces himself, he pauses before relaxing his voice, "But I see you took care of everything, may I know your name?"

"My name..." Hiyama smiles, his eyes focused on Ainz become a little sharper, Kel'thuzad in the staff simply observes, "I'm Hiyama, Daisuke Hiyama, as you can see, I've taken care of the enemies, hehehe," Hiyama says with a slight chuckle, observing Ainz seriously.

For his part, Ainz looks down where he can see the village that should have a disgusting smell that he can't smell, because he has no nose, and several villagers sitting on the ground, some just leaning on some wall and others sharpening some weapons.

"I see, you know, those people, I think they should be mourning the death of their close ones," Ainz says what he thinks while holding a hand to his jaw.

In Ainz's mind various thoughts swirl, from assumptions to delusions, but they all have the same basis, there is magic affecting the minds of the humans in the Carne village.

However, the type of magic Hiyama uses is something Ainz has never seen before, a magic similar to his own but completely different, so Ainz takes a closer look at Hiyama.

Hiyama's very name gave Ainz the confirmation he needed to know if Hiyama was a YGGDRASIL player.

But, for Ainz there was now a problem, Can he tell Hiyama that he is also a player?

At first Ainz had thought of simply telling Hiyama that he has also transmigrated to this world and make a friend, but, after seeing the ease with which Hiyama killed the attacking soldiers and mercilessly uses magic to influence the minds of the surviving villagers, Ainz does not want to reveal his identity as a transmigrator.

After all, he is an Undead, someone who can't feel emotions, but Hiyama is a human, a human who can feel all kinds of feelings and emotions, getting to a point where human life doesn't matter to him is something only a psychopath would do, and Ainz doesn't want to establish an alliance or friendship with someone mentally ill.

"I see, then, there's no need for me to continue to be here, for the time being it's best that I retire, I have... unfinished business," Ainz bows slightly to Hiyama and then proceeds to withdraw.

However, before Ainz can return to Albedo's side, Hiyama stops him, "Wait!" Hiyama bites his lower lip, despite the pressure of Ainz's mere presence near him.

"What the fuck are you doing?" the annoyed voice of Kel'thuzad echoes in Hiyama's mind, "It's impossible for you to defeat him right now, so, Why?" Kel'thuzad demands an answer, however, Hiyama doesn't answer him.

For a moment, both existences stare at each other, each with various thoughts inside their minds, for his part, Ainz who has collected enough information for today has no intentions to continue talking to Hiyama, but Hiyama is genuinely curious about Ainz.

"I am Hiyama, I come from Heiligh, I know something Sir Momonga, you... are not human," Hiyama smiles as he finishes speaking, leaving Ainz completely dumbfounded.

Ainz's green aura begins to activate continuously as Hiyama makes a swift movement with his staff.

"Frost Explosion!" Hiyama shouts as he points his staff at Ainz, the green skull on his staff glows brightly before a large amount of magic begins to make the atmosphere feel heavy.

The sky darkens in less than a second, the glow that covered Hiyama's green body becomes very bright and a large blue blast like a powerful icy wind tens of feet thick shoots in Ainz's direction.

At this sudden attack Ainz stops being surprised and is about to activate one of his special abilities when Albedo appears in front of him.

*Shock*
