As they set off, the forest seemed to grow denser, the shadow deepening. Shin's felt a sense of unease, but Violet presence beside her was reassuring. They walked in silence, the only sound the rustling of leaves beneath their feet.
After what felt like hours, they arrived at a small cottage near on the village. Smoke drifted lazily from the chimney, and Shin could sense a warmth eminating from within. Violet knocked on the door, and a woman with wild hair and piercing green eyes opened the door and answered. " Ah, Violet", she said, his voice husky. " I see you've brought a friend".
Violet introduced Shin to woman, who called herself Yuki. Yuki listened intently as Violet explained Red situation, her eyes narrowing as she nodded. " I can help", Yuki said, her voice filled with conviction. " But it won't be easy. We'll need to go into Shadow Realms".
Shin heart sank " The Shadow Realms? What is that?". Yuki smile was enigmatic. " A place where memories are currency. We'll need to exchange something precious for Red memories". Violet eyes met shin, and she saw a flicker of uncertainty.
As Yuki led them into the shadow realm, Shin felt a chill run down her spine. The air was thick with an otherworldly energy, and the shadows seemed to writhe like living things. "We must be careful", Yuki warned, her voice low and mysterious. " The shadow realms is a place of darkness and deception, we'll need to be prepared to make a sacrifice if we want to retrieve Red memories".
Violet eyes locked onto Shin, and she saw a flash of determination. "We'll do whatever it takes", he said, his voice firm. Yuki nodded, her eyes glinting with a knowing light "Very well, But remember, the Shadow realm takes payment in the currency and regret. Are you prepared to pay the price?".
As they journey deeper into the realm, Shin felt the weight of Yuki's word settling upon her. She saw visions of Red, lost and alone, her memories slipping away like sand between her finger. Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadow. Tall, imposing, and with eyes that burned like embers, he regarded them with a calculating gaze.
" Welcome, Mortals", he said, his voice like thunder. " I am Morpheus, A guardian of shadow realms. You seek to retrieve the memories of one who has made a bargain with Babylon Heart. Very well, I shall grant your wish, but at a price".
Morpheus eyes locked onto Shin, and she felt a shiver run down her spine. "You, Shin, you will pay the price. Your deepest fear will be revealed, and you will confront the darkness within yourself". Violet stepped forward, his eyes blazing the determination. "I'll do it", she said. "I'll pay the price".
But the Morpheus gaze remained fixed on Shin. "No, the price must be paid by the one who has been affected by Red loss. And that is Shin". Shin's heart pounded in her chest as the guardian's word hung in the air.
