"So what you're telling me is that this letter is going to grant me ownership of the town and its surrounding territories?" Julian asked.
"That would be correct, My lord." The previous village chief responded.
"You already asked him 3 times, was this really necessary?" Oblivion face palmed.
"I liked the statement. Let me enjoy the joy it brought me alright." Julian waved off.
Inside the largest manor of the town sat 3 figures in the study room of the chief manor.
Filled with antique furniture and bookshelves lined on the wall, it was a true display of luxury.
"My lord there's a destined known as 'Mideous' who requests to be let into the manor. He spoke of you by name, should we let him in?" A guard informed from outside the study's door.
"Let him in." Julian answered.
A few minutes passed before the handsome looking Korean man stepped through the study's double doors.
"This is actually ridiculous, you know." He chuckled.
"True, but at this point you should get used to it. It'll be happening in spades." Julian smiled.
"Did you post the announcement for the reveal on your page?"
"It's already been marinating for a few minutes now. The people are itching to know." Mideous confirmed.
Mideous sat in between the pair as he slouched into a comfortable position.
"You don't know how my heart dropped when I heard the two of you were spotted being escorted by the guards." He sighed.
"Failure after failure. I thought our momentum was gonna go downhill."
"Who'd think we would soar even higher after this huh?" He smiled from ear to ear.
He wrapped his arm around the two grinning from ear to ear.
In a hush he whispered, "You know people think we got bought out by some world class guild."
"Just wait till they hear the system announcement." He hummed.
"Obivion, bro are you excited cause I am hyped." He finger gunned.
Oblivion shifted in his seat a bit before clearing up, "I mean technically. I'm not really a part of this."
Mideous gave a look of 'wdym' before glancing towards Julian.
"Technically he's not. But if you wanna join us we'd be more than happy ." Julian confirmed.
"I… I'll think about it." Oblivion answered.
Julian gave a nod while Mideous looked a bit bummed out.
"Alright look he's not really pushy, but come on you gotta join us dude." Mideous pleaded.
"We saw your skills out there, you're exactly the type of person we need. The fighter of the guild you know."
Mideous gave his best version of puppy dog eyes to convince the young man.
Julian gave an awkward smile at his business partner's shameless pleading, while Oblivion seemed to genuinely be thinking it through.
"I'm actually planning on creating my own guild…" Oblivion said.
"Ahh… my bad bro." Mideous backed down.
Julian sighed, it seemed Oblivion's goal of creating his own guild was the same as he had read about.
"Why not be branches to a larger whole?" The village chief spoke up.
"Hm? What do you mean old man?" Mideous asked.
"Well from the reports from my guards it's clear that this golden light emporium is more of a business guild right?" He continued.
"You on the other hand seem more of the warrior type. I'm sure you'll aim for power more than finance, yes?"
"If that's the case why not have it so that you both lead the same different departments in the same guild."
"Such a structure is rare, but I believe you three are unique enough to make it work."
"You train and lead the warriors." He pointed to Oblivion.
"You build and grow the business." He pointed to Mideous.
"While the lord will make it so that the town of Limillion will become the fortified headquarters for both." He claimed.
"There will be no need for competition, no long process to prove yourself to the town or city's leader."
"What do you say?"
While the question was aimed towards both Mideous and Oblivion it was more so directed towards the latter.
As the three stared at him, Oblivion began to delve into his thoughts.
It was true that he had no plans to lead the economic side of the guild. It was even in his original plan to invite Mideous to act as the leader for the sort.
Taking over a city/town was also on the agenda as it led to massive advantages for a guild, so this would steam line the process immediately.
But there really only stood one person who made him hesitate.
Julian. He was so much kinder than the one in his previous timeline.
Polite, thoughtful, laid back. So unlike the tyrant who had abandoned kindness for efficiency.
Perhaps this was how he acted before he had to carry the world on his shoulder.
Oblivion finished his thoughts before facing the anticipating trio.
"I'll do it." He answered.
The trio each showed a smile, though each one was a little bit different.
Mideous was the most expressive with him being excited at the thought of having a player with actual combat skills.
The old village chief was happy that his proposal had worked and hoped the new lord would look at him favorably.
Julian showed a small smile, but was internally glad that this regressor had joined their side.
"Welcome aboard bro." Mideous fist bumped.
"Look forward to working with you." Julian said.
"Same to you both." Oblivion responded.
The trio took the time to write down a rough contract on the duties and share of the guild ownership.
33% to Oblivion, 40% to Julian, then the final 27% of ownership would go towards Mideous.
Once the three had finished up, the old village chief spoke up.
"I think it's time my lord."
"Ah" Julian blurted.
Julian nodded before outstrenching his hand towards the chief.

[Would you like to hide your name in the system announcement?]
No, the publicity would be good, Julian thought.
"You guys ready?" Julian smiled.
The other two simply nodded.
