"You're almost at level thirty?"
At the start of a new week, as Wu Changkong stepped into the classroom once again, he immediately noticed something different about Heita. Compared to before, the soul power around her had become much more condensed.
This child had just reached level twenty-nine not long ago—if she continued progressing like this, wouldn't she hit level thirty very soon?
"Yes, Teacher Wu. Since I have some time recently, I plan to go to the Spirit Ascension Platform…"
"Then go today. I'll go with you!"
After their last lesson, Wu Changkong had given Heita a popular science book about soul beasts—specifically to help her understand their habits and weaknesses. It was meant to help her achieve better results when she entered the Spirit Ascension Platform.
He hadn't expected that knowledge to come in handy so soon.
But then again, since it's Heita… he wasn't surprised. Or rather—
He'd gotten used to it!
Before a true genius, everyone else fades into insignificance.
Wu Changkong had fully adapted—no matter what Heita did, he wouldn't find it strange anymore.
---
"I want to enter the Intermediate Spirit Ascension Platform. Take me in."
At the East Sea Spirit Transmission Tower, Wu Changkong silently followed behind Heita. When he saw the little adult in front of him directly throw a token at the staff member's face, the corner of his mouth twitched.
Originally, he had planned to use the spot that East Sea Academy had secured for the Primary Spirit Ascension Platform to get Heita inside. But who would have thought—Heita had a token from Heavenly Phoenix Douluo?
Then again, of course she did. Heavenly Phoenix Douluo was a Four-Word Battle Armor Master!
With Heita being her disciple—and a genius at that—it would be absurd if she didn't enjoy this level of privilege. It'd even make her a prime target for other powers trying to poach her.
"But… Honored Pre-Spirit Transmitter… we still need to test your spiritual power…"
"I said—take me in, now!"
"Y-yes, ma'am!"
Faced with Heita's identity, the staff member naturally didn't dare defy her. After all, the token bore the mark of the vice-tower master of the Spirit Transmission Tower. As a mere employee, what would she gain from offending such a figure?
Thus, under the guidance of the female staffer, Heita and Wu Changkong went through a complicated route until they arrived in a room made entirely of metal. Judging by the massive soul guidance screen on the wall, this was clearly the entrance to the Spirit Ascension Platform.
Since it was a semi-virtual world, the method of entry was rather sci-fi—you lay inside a pod that resembled a hibernation capsule, just like entering a VR game.
Naturally, Heita found this fascinating, but now wasn't the time to explore. Once she formally joined the Spirit Transmission Tower in the future, she would have the chance to learn all this. For now, her priority was to raise her soul spirit and soul ring years.
---
"No need for extra words. Since you've chosen to enter the Intermediate Spirit Ascension Platform, I believe you've already made ample preparations." Wu Changkong reminded her, "Because of the method of entry, I'll be entering in the adjacent pod at the same time—to ensure your safety."
"Understood. Thank you, Teacher Wu."
Amidst a tingling sensation, Heita slowly closed her eyes. When she opened them again, she was already standing in a vast forest.
This was the simulated environment of the Intermediate Spirit Ascension Platform: the Star Dou Forest!
It had four zones—Outer Zone, Mixed Zone, Core Zone, and the Land of Ferocity. Heita was now in the Outer Zone. But even so, since this was the Intermediate Platform, the soul beasts inside were still highly dangerous.
By normal standards, given Heita's age, it would have been safer to enter the Primary Spirit Ascension Platform. After all, she could already suppress Wu Changkong, who was level fifty. Wouldn't she just steamroll the Primary one?
Yet, knowing all this, Heita still chose the Intermediate Platform… what was she thinking?
---
"I just think killing them one by one is too much trouble. Isn't it more convenient to just take down one big one?"
Wu Changkong: "..."
Alright then. I'm not surprised.
---
"Even though I came in with you, I'll only be ensuring your life is not in danger and pulling you out if necessary. As for your soul spirit and soul ring growth—you'll have to earn that yourself."
Truthfully, Wu Changkong was quite curious about Heita's true combat strength. After all, their previous interactions in class were just practice bouts. In a real battle, what could she actually do?
Wait a second—there's a lot of soul beast auras nearby!
Wu Changkong's eyes sharpened as he slowed his steps. Heita, on the other hand, immediately summoned her weapon—a massive war hammer.
Within two seconds, countless black shadows burst from the surrounding forest, quickly surrounding both Heita and Wu Changkong.
---
"Those are Moonshadow Wolves?"
Wu Changkong frowned in thought. These were pack-type wolf soul beasts, adept at stealth, usually ranging from one to three thousand years old. The wolves currently surrounding them were clearly all over two thousand years—and the wolf king among them was already close to three thousand!
"But judging from her stance… looks like she doesn't need my help?"
Seeing Heita itching to fight, Wu Changkong knew exactly what was coming next. So, he stepped back a few paces and handed the stage completely to her.
Ding!
Two purple soul rings appeared beside Heita. Her first soul skill activated immediately—Synaptic Resonance—linking every Moonshadow Wolf on the field. Then she cast Brain-in-a-Jar on herself: every time she used two soul skills, she could use one more for free.
---
"Such a big diamond—for you all!"
Her giant hammer flashed with purple light—this was Heita's self-created soul skill: I Added Magic, which also served as an ultimate skill in her game setup. Combined with her Spinny Hammer Technique, she whirled it around a few times before smashing it down brutally onto the Moonshadow Wolf King.
"Awoooo—!"
The attack was so swift that the Moonshadow Wolf King didn't even have time to react—it was directly struck. But was that the end?
Of course not!
The surrounding Moonshadow Wolves instantly leapt forward, trying to help their king tear this arrogant little human to shreds. But before they could move, a wave of invisible force slammed down on them, smashing every last one into the ground.
And the Spinny Hammer Technique wasn't done adding hits yet—triggered again by Brain-in-a-Jar, Heita unleashed another round of her self-made soul skill, hammering all the Moonshadow Wolves again.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
What followed was an incredibly brutal scene, right before Wu Changkong's eyes.
Even though Heita was only visibly attacking the Wolf King, every single Moonshadow Wolf was being ruthlessly pounded by unseen extra attacks, flattened to the ground. The hammer blows didn't stop until all of them had turned into spiritual energy and vanished…
Over twenty Moonshadow Wolves—each equivalent to a human Soul Elder at the peak of three soul rings—were wiped out by Heita just like that?
If Wu Changkong remembered correctly, Heita had just used her techniques and soul skills to force out thousands of consecutive attacks, combo-killing all of them on the spot!
This girl… is a nightmare for any army!
Wu Changkong: Never mind. I'm not surprised anymore…
