After the sparring match had come to an end, most of the Z Fighters went off to do their own things. Well, most of them. Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta and Goku stayed behind with Mito. All the others had the worry of Mito suddenly going rogue and attacking them, but they had faith in Goku. Granted Goku's faith is questionable. 18 is the most untrusting of them all considering her history with Cell. But as everyone had left a new question had arisen for the group. What are they going to do with Mito? It's not like he can just go out and get a house considering he looks like Cell. People would freak out thinking Cell is back. Housing is a pressing issue at the moment because no one knows what to do with him. The one who started this debate was Goku as his curiosity had been piqued. So now the group is stuck with this debate.
"He is not staying at Capsule Corp." Vegeta said, with crossed arms.
"I'm not sure if Chi Chi would like having him around considering what Cell put Gohan through." Goku added.
"I just don't trust him yet." Gohan said carefully glancing at Mito.
"I could stay in the lab. After all no one else is using it. That way society doesn't see me and cause more problems." Mito said nonchalantly.
"Is it livable?" Goku asks.
Mito shrugs his shoulders. Not like he cares really. He isn't like everyone else who needs a Home or a House. He just needs shelter and he'll be fine. He's a Bio-Android, he doesn't need the various necessities that normal people need. He was built for battle, not peace.
"Would you be comfortable living there for now?" Goku asks.
"Been there for years already, so what's a few more." Mito said, nonchalantly.
"True, but i have a better idea." Goku said before glancing at Piccolo.
Piccolo had an idea what Goku was getting at and crossed his arms.
"Not happening."
"Oh, come on Piccolo. The Lookout is the only place I can think of for him to stay." Goku said.
"Not doing it."
"It's not like he'll stay there forever. Just until i find a place for him to stay permanently." Goku explains.
"I'm not going to put Dende at risk." Piccolo argues.
"Mito's not a threat. If he was, he would've tried to kill us by now." Goku reasons.
Piccolo looked at Mito who just stands there with his arms crossed. With a reluctant sigh, he takes a moment of silence before looking at Goku. He was hesitant to consider this but if he didn't, Goku wouldn't shut up about it.
"Fine. At least I can keep an eye on him in case he does something." Piccolo said, reluctantly agreeing.
"Cool! Is that okay with you Mito?" Goku asks, looking at the Bio Android.
Mito shrugs his shoulders in a carefree way, showing he, both doesn't mind and doesn't care.
"it's fine. I don't really care where I go." Mito said.
"Alright, then it's settled. Mito will stay at the Lookout for the time being, and Piccolo will keep an eye on him." Goku says. "Situation handled.
"I wouldn't say handled, dad." Gohan said.
"What? Why not?"
"Your serious right? If he shows up in public people will freak out and think Cell has returned." Gohan said.
"it's not like Mito is living in West City. It'll be fine." Goku says, playing off Gohan's concern.
"Sometimes I question if you're intentionally reckless or just an idiot." Piccolo mutters.
"Can't it be both?" Vegeta asks.
Goku has made many reckless decisions that were both stupid and insane. Yet somehow, Earth is still around. Goku's actions could've destroyed the Earth numerous times. But for some reason, Piccolo feels like Mito could be something else. Someone with the potential to easily match Goku could become a valuable ally if trained to harness that intense potential. But Piccolo needs to see more of Mito's power to properly know how much potential he has. Maybe having him at the Lookout won't be so bad after all. He can keep an eye on him and could potentially see how much potential Mito has.
"I know that dad, but we can't just keep him hidden forever." Gohan calmly argues.
"Yeah, I know. But we'll cross that road when it comes." Goku said, playing it off.
"Dad, this isn't something we can worry about later. We may understand that Mito is not Cell, but no matter what the world won't forget what Cell did." Gohan said, trying to explain it to his father. "We may trust him, but the world won't."
"Well, Mr. Satan is a celebrity who did kind of take credit for our hard work. So maybe he could come up with a story. They always believe him." Goku said, shrugging his shoulders.
"Dad-"
"Gohan."
The hybrid Saiyan looks over to the Namekian.
"If push comes to shove, we can have Hercule make up a fake story to explain why Mito looks like Cell. As much as I hate it, Goku for once has a good idea. Even if the world won't trust him, he'll be under my watch for the time being. You can inform Hercule about all of this and give him time to come up with a cover up story." Piccolo explains.
Gohan is silent. He looks at his father and then back to Piccolo. He sighs before nodding, agreeing with the plan.
"When I see him again, I'll inform him about Mito and the situation." Gohan said, reluctantly.
"Why not do it at your wedding? Isn't it in a few days?" Goku asks.
"It's next week. Besides, I don't want to ruin a good occasion, dad." Gohan said, sternly. "A wedding is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I don't want to worry anyone."
"Why not before? Gives him time to think about it." Goku intercepts, giving his two cents.
"That could work. I just don't want to complicate things." Gohan said, sounding concerned.
"You won't. I got a feeling everything will be just fine." Goku said, giving a reassuring smile.
"If you say so."
Goku smiled, mainly to himself. He now had a really strong training partner and the tension from before seems to have dissolved. He's just excited for what comes next, he can't wait to fight Mito again. He had fun during their sparring match. He hadn't had that much fun in a while, not since Majin Buu. He is a bit down that it ended so soon, he can't wait for the next time they spar. With all tensions calmed down and issues handled, the group decided it was time to go. Everyone went their separate ways back to wherever they were doing before Mito arrived. Piccolo took Mito with him and was guiding him to the Lookout which is where the bio android would spend the rest of his time for now.
{~Timeskip~}
By the time they reached the Lookout, Mito began to take in the scenery once they landed. It was really spacious and had only one building on it followed by a pathway outlined by a set of trees. It was also very clean. Piccolo walks forward towards the building and Mito follows him. The Bio android then takes notice to two other people on the lookout. One is a short Namekian and the other looks like a genie. The smaller Namekian smiles seeing Piccolo but it vanishes when he gazes upon Mito. His eyes widen as he sees a striking resemblance to Cell. He may have been new to Earth at the time, but he's more than aware of Cell, the Cell Games, and the Androids. It was under him that the Dragon Balls were used to revive all those killed by Cell. Piccolo, observant as ever, noticed the young Namekians expression and sought to defuse the situation before it got out of hand.
"Before you jump to conclusions, it's not Cell, Dende." Piccolo said, straight to the point.
"But, he looks just like him?" Dende asks, questioning Piccolo.
"Mito is Cell's replacement and after much discussion and a sparring match between him and Goku. He's not like Cell, not at all." Piccolo explained.
"And your certain about this?" Dende asks.
"Yes."
Dende looked at Mito one last time. He went to sense the Android's ki and could not sense any malice. This was a good sign of course, but he still couldn't help but hold onto a sliver of anxiety. Knowing what Cell was capable of, he began to think about how beneficial Mito's existence would be for the people of Earth. While they have Goku and Vegeta, those two often aren't present when a conflict starts. Of course, there's Gohan and Piccolo to fill in whenever they're not available, but with Mito now in the mix, Earth will have another line of defense.
"If it makes you feel any better, I'll be keeping a close eye on him. Just in case he does anything." Piccolo said, sparing a quick glance towards Mito.
Mito stood beside Piccolo in silence, waiting for his chance to speak. He noticed the quick glance he got from Piccolo but didn't dare call him out for it. He knew that glance, it was a threatening one. One warning him not to do anything stupid. Not that he planned to attack Piccolo. He is not Cell, and he doesn't want to follow Gero's orders. He is his own person, and he knows this. He watches as Dende gives him one last glance before sighing.
"Alright, if you say so Piccolo." Dende said, accepting the Namekians words.
Dende then walks towards Mito who patiently awaits him. Dende then hesitantly reaches his hand forward for a handshake.
"I-I'm Dende." Dende greets, nervously.
Mito grabs his hand and shakes it.
"You can call me Mito. It's nice to meet you Dende." Mito said, calmly.
"Yeah, same here." Dende said, still nervous.
After all, Mito looks just like Cell despite the color differences. Dende just hopes this doesn't end in catastrophe. Majin Buu was a massive threat and he just hopes Mito can help the Earth when the next major threat emerges. After shaking Dende's hand, Mito turns to Piccolo.
"So, what do you typically do on the lookout?" Mito asks.
"Meditate and train. Why?" Piccolo asks.
"I was thinking about training myself. So that next time when me and Goku spar, i can beat him." Mito declares with a smile. "Want in?"
Piccolo thinks about it for a good moment before shrugging his shoulders.
"I could use some training." Piccolo said, before smirking. "Just don't complain if my training is a bit harsh."
"Oh, bring it." Mito said, looking eager.
{Meanwhile}
Meanwhile in Gero's Ultra Hyper Super-Secret lab, the one that Mito awoken in, the laboratory's power was still on. However, the computer was working on something. Deeper within the lab in a separate room was a pod similar to Android 17 and 18's pods from when they were first awakened. The lights in the room illuminated the area and shined enough light onto the pod to reveal the markings on it. 21.
