After traversing the vents, Michelle spotted a room through a vent grille and pushed it open. As Michelle entered the room, she saw a TV with a turquoise VHS player. "It's been a while since I've seen a VHS tape," she said before approaching it.
Soon after, Michelle spotted a turquoise VHS tape on the ground, which made her pick it up. "What do you have to offer?" she asked herself before approaching the player.
After Michelle inserted the tape, she looked at the TV as it booted up. "Alright, Ms. Harper, please explain the situation; spare no detail," the female scientist said.
"Well, like any night, all the children were getting to sleep; it was peaceful, quiet," Ms. Harper said. "CatNap had the Red Smoke in the room."
Michelle was concerned. "Then, suddenly, there's this scream," Ms. Harper continued. "Nightmares happen, I know, but this... I mean, dilated pupils and quivering lips? The way her eyes darted around the room?"
Michelle heard Ms. Harper get frantic. "And I swear, her hand in mine, it felt like her blood was boiling beneath her skin..." she said.
Michelle was uncomfortable. "She saw something, too, something horrible! She—" Ms. Harper stopped herself before calming down. "I-I'm sorry; I don't mean to..."
Michelle crossed her arms and looked away. "To be honest, I would've felt the same way, so I don't blame her..." she said, lowly.
"Ms. Harper, we'll provide the very best care we can offer; you have my word," the scientist said, "But this is important. Did Marie happen to describe what she saw?"
Michelle looked at the TV. "Yes, a monster, she said, said it was... colorless. Gosh, I could feel her poor little heart pounding. For her, it was right there!" Ms. Harper shouted. "A-And her movements, they were so wild! Arms flailing, legs kicking..."
Michelle heard the scientist hum. "I... I wanted to talk to her. See how she's doing. I just... I really need to hear her voice right now," Ms. Harper said.
"That would not be advised, Ms. Harper," the scientist said. "There are many concerns we must address at this time. But her vitals show normal, and we'll continue to monitor her; she'll be OK."
Michelle heard Ms. Harper's screams. "NO! Well, pardon me if I'm not comforted by that!" she shouted before crying. "Just bring my little girl back to me..." After the video ended, Michelle looked down. "Marie..." she said lowly.
When Michelle remembered Mommy Long Legs trembling, she was shocked. "Is it possible that Marie... and Mommy Long Legs... are the same?" she asked herself. Michelle trembled a bit and crossed her arms. "That explains everything... poor Mommy..." she said, lowly.
Michelle shook her head and slapped her cheeks. "Keep it together, Misha..." she said before walking away. "I have to be strong for them..."
As Michelle walked around the room, she spotted two battery sockets. "It looks like I'm going to have to find some batteries," she said. Michelle spotted a door propped open by a cart, which made her approach it.
When Michelle was close, she spotted a battery in a sink. "There's one," she said before pulling the right trigger. The green hand grabbed the battery before retracting.
When Michelle was close to the sockets, she put the battery in the right socket. "Only one remains," she said. When Michelle turned her head to the left, she saw a battery next to a busted oven, which made her pull the left trigger.
The blue hand grabbed the battery before retracting. "And you're it," Michelle said before putting it in the left socket.
The blue hand scanner lit up, which made Michelle approach it. "I'll need to catch up to Mommy and head to the others," she said before pulling the left trigger. The blue hand touched the scanner, activating it; when it finished, it retracted back.
Soon after, the door shutter opened, prompting Michelle to go through the opening. As Michelle walked through, she saw a cutout of a blue elephant toy wearing a collar with a lightbulb pendant on it.
Michelle smiled. "It's Bubba Bubbaphant," she said before approaching the cutout. When Michelle was close, she pressed the button. "I'm Bubba Bubbaphant; hey, I remember you!" it said.
Michelle smiled. "Normally, I press these once, but since it's a Smiling Critter, I'll keep it going," she said before pressing the button. "An elephant always remembers!" the cutout said.
Michelle pressed the button again. "Want to know what I remember about you?" it asked. Michelle tilted her head with a smile. "What do you remember about me?" she asked.
When Michelle pressed the button, she heard screaming, which made her flinch before it became distorted. Michelle stared at the cutout with a sweatdrop. "I don't remember it doing that before..." she said before walking to the left. "Let's just meet up with Mommy."
As Michelle looked around, she heard something ringing, which surprised her. "What?" she asked herself before looking around. "Is that... a phone?" Michelle turned her head to the stairs. "It sounds like it's coming from up there," she said before going up the stairs.
When Michelle reached the top of the stairs, she looked around and spotted a receiver unit. "I'm gonna need some electricity," she said before going back down the stairs. "I remember seeing a green power outlet near a door."
When Michelle saw the green power outlet, she pulled the right trigger, launching the green hand and touching it, which powered it up. After the green hand retracted, Michelle quickly went up the stairs and looked at the receiver before pulling the right trigger again.
The green hand launched toward the receiver, which opened the door. Michelle quickly went through the door before it closed. Michelle looked around the room before spotting a red phone near some pipes.
Michelle pulled the left trigger, launching the blue hand and grabbing the phone before retracting back. Michelle grabbed the phone from the blue hand and looked at it. "Hello?" she asked.
"Hey... hey, can you hear me?" a young boy on the other line asked. Michelle stared at the phone, shocked. What the hell? Why is a little kid answering the phone? she thought.
"Hello?" the young boy asked, which made Michelle flinch a bit. Michelle looked at the phone. "Yes, I can hear you, little boy," she said.
"You look kinda lost," the young boy said. "I don't want you to die, so I'm gonna help you!" Michelle stared at the phone. "How can I know that I can trust you?" she asked. "Look at the tube thing on the back wall," the young boy said.
Michelle turned to the tube. "Ready?" the young boy asked. Soon after, a battery came out of the tube, which shocked Michelle. "BUH-BOOM! You can use that battery to open the door!" the young boy shouted.
Michelle approached the battery. "Uh... thank you," she said before pulling the right trigger. The green hand grabbed the battery before retracting.
When Michelle turned to the socket, she aimed and pulled the right trigger, launching the green hand and placing the battery into it, which opened the door.
As Michelle left the room, she spotted Mommy Long Legs staring at the crashed train. "Mommy!" she shouted before sprinting forward. Mommy Long Legs looked at Michelle as she approached her. "Ah, my little Misha, you're alright," she said.
Michelle nodded. "Woah... did you do that?" the young boy asked, which made the duo look at the phone. "I guess that's where CatNap found you..."
Mommy Long Legs stared at the phone. "What's this about?" she asked. Michelle looked at Mommy Long Legs. "This phone was ringing in a different room, and this young boy answered the other end," she said.
Mommy Long Legs stared at the phone. "I know you're mad at Poppy for not letting you leave this place—" Michelle looked at the phone. "I'm gonna stop you right there. I didn't want to leave this place to begin with..."
The phone was silent for a moment. "You... didn't?" the young boy asked. Michelle nodded. "That's right; I'm on a mission to find my friends who were once in Playcare," she said. "I see..." the young boy said. "Does that mean you'll help us?"
Michelle looked at the phone. "If it lets me get closer to my friends, then yes," she said. Mommy Long Legs eyed the phone. "That's great! But your only obstacle to your goal is CatNap, one of The Smiling Critters..." the young boy said.
Michelle looked at the phone. "I'm well aware," she said. "Well then, Playcare is straight ahead," the young boy said. "But I must warn you... Playcare is CatNap's church... his hunting ground... whatever he wants it to be."
Michelle hummed. "I'll keep that in mind and let my other friends know," she said. "Other friends?" the young boy asked. Michelle looked at the phone. "I wasn't on that train alone," she said. "I was accompanied by Huggy, Bunzo, a few of the Mini Huggies, PJ, and Mommy."
The phone was silent for a moment. "That's... incredible," the young boy said. "When Poppy told me about you, I didn't think it was true."
Mommy Long Legs leaned close to Michelle. "Well, I can say with confidence that it's true," she said. "Well, I look forward to having you as my ally," the young boy said. "Oh! And by the way, my name is Ollie."
Michelle looked at the phone. "I'm Michelle Mercia, but my friends call me Misha," she said. "Nice to meet you, Misha," Ollie said. "We'll talk more once you get to Playcare."
Michelle nodded as she hung the phone on one of the GrabPack's hooks. "C'mon, Mommy, let's head on out," she said. Mommy Long Legs nodded as she carried Michelle in her hand before walking forward.
