Indra slowly opened his eyes...looking at his hands he asked himself, " Where ..am... I ? Is this ...afterlife?....Of course you cannot survive something like that.. "
" IDIOT !!.... look... around " sighed Hakai
Indra looked towards Hakai who was on the ground...then he gazed his surrounding....he too was on the ground...they both were laid flat , their back touching the ground.... near the tree they collided...
" We are alive ....Yeahhhh!!...we did it!!!...we did it!!..." exclaimed Indra suddenly feeling pain in various parts of his body
" Shut up and move your leg...you are heavy...you will crush... my chest..." replied Hakai in irritation.....
"I want to...but I cannot move...not a single muscle in my body can be moved..." sighed Indra ....
" I am in same condition...." replied Hakai ...
As they were trying to move Indra saw large birds in a group of four hovering over the sky...and said , " Are they Vultures? Will they eat us?....."
"Yeah for sure...if we lie down here for another hour...we are ...sure to become...their food..." said Hakai looking at them.. breathing heavily..
" What if Amora is still chasing us....and she is about to catch us...??" said Indra in a worried tone....
" Stop Scaring Me...I am already afraid from what we did..." said Hakai making an angry face...
As they were arguing a Vulture dived towards them in full speed....
" I knew it... We survived a demon just to be killed by a damn vulture...It cannot be true...I cannot move...forget moving...I can barely speak....." cried Indra in frustration and pain...
As the vulture was abouts to reach them , it suddenly changed the direction...but then something else... attracted their attention...
A thirty five centimetres tall and forty five centimetres long Dog was sitting in front of them staring continuously at them..it had bright shining purple fur it, its tail was also furry and it was carrying a muddish brown small bag on his back...its tongue was continuously flicking with joy...
" Could...it be...that...Now..we will be eaten by a dog..Noooo..." cried Indra making a funny face ...
" I am happy you are okay KOTA, You waited patiently...I wil make sure to treat you once we get back ...." said Hakai trying to move his hand.....
"Kota??? " Indra said in a confused tone...
" His name is Kota . He is my Soul Beast..." said Hakai with a light smile on his face looking towards Kota.....
"Soul Beast???...I don't know about it ....but he doesn't look like a beast....he is ....kind of ...cute...." replied Indra in a little teasing way..
" Ohhh...and someone was afraid of him a moment ago...." said Hakai..
"Uhhh..Hmm...that was...that was...because he appeared suddenly...in front of us...." replied Indra ...
" Forget about it....I am loosing feel in my hands and legs.....my muscle tissues are torn..." added Indra who was feeling an unbearable pain in the body while trying to move it...
" Kota pass the medicine" ordered Hakai...
Kota pulled two small glass bottles from the bag... Then he moved near Hakai's mouth...pulled the bottle's cap and poured the liquid inside it into Hakai's mouth..... Indra was in surprise looking at the dog performing such actions gracefully and perfectly...Indra was impressed.... Then Kota came near Indra and repeated the same actions.....
" Bitter.... I hate medicines" complaint Indra...
" It is an emergency medicine...we will be able to move after some time...but we still require better treatment...it heals at a rapid rate...but after its effect ends... the injury it healed will spread...." said Hakai slowly lifting his hand and petting Kota's head...
" Spread?...Why??" asked Indra in doubt...
" I told you it is an emergency medicine..it is not perfect yet...the rate and energy by which it heals your wound is too high for our body to endure...that is why..I said we still need a professional tretment." replied Hakai slowly standing up....
" It is scary...It means we can die if we do not get proper medication on time..." said Indra being a little anxious...
" Don't worry...Have faith on me...Besides its effect will last for six days...we will be able to reach at my place....till then I am your guide..." said Hakai assuring Indra...
Indra felt the pain in his body fading away...he tried to move and he was able to stand and walk....once again he was impressed this time by the medicine....
" So where are we heading?...my genius guide..." asked Indra smiling widely as he felt refreshness in his body....
" I told you to just follow me... But I want to add that you sure were awesome unleashing such a great move at such a crucial time....Why didn't you use it or tell me about that earlier?..."asked Hakai in curiosity...
" You are one to ask after performing such a risky and breathtaking combo attack... As for me , Blazing Sun is a last resort...I have yet to master it... unleashing it in the mid of a battle means we are out of options....after that ,my body goes numb and not able to defeat my enemy till then means death....." replied Indra....
" Same for my combo attack " replied Hakai...
It was noon , the light warm wind brought the fresh smell of grass. It was humid..and butterflies fluttered around the flowers...
Indra and Hakai could only see medium grass and trees around them...they could see the destroyed mountain peak which was now far from them...
Hakai and Indra...began walking opposite of the mountain following Kota ..
Both of them walked continuously for two days taking frequent rest and eating whatever edible they could found in the middle sometimes fruits.. sometimes fishes..and sometimes nothing....
On the third day they had left the grassy forest and now were on a rocky terrain...the wind was dry..no more humidity...but the air was hotter...but they had gathered enough water and food so they were good to go....
They continued their journey....the only thing that made Indra nervous was that till now they had not encountered a single human...But Hakai seemed calm and unbothered by that as if he knew the reason...Indra wanted to ask about it but he didn't found it the right time to discuss such a crucial topic at the moment.....He wanted to ask it in more detail after they had reached their destination safely.....
It was fifth day and now they had entered a thick forest..long trees reigned the area...a river was flowing beside them, it was clean and shining bright blue colour of sky was getting reflected by it.....
Finally they could eat something else and drink some fresh water...
But Indra was feeling nauseatic and deep purple patches emerged around his wounds....Hakai was facing the similar condition....They realised that the effect of medicine had now started to fade...one more day...after that the wound and pain will intensify at rapid rate...
" When will we reach there?" asked Indra in a tired voice...
" We are still far away...I myself didn't thought it would take so much time...It might be because we are taking a longer path to avoid some sensitive regions....And since it is my first time too...so I might have miscalculated..." replied Hakai scratching his head with his left hand...
"You didn't tell me about this...that we are taking a longer route..." said Indra in a little frustration....
" I didn't find it necessary to tell you about this because you don't even know about the shorter route..." replied Hakai...
" And you said this is your first time too...You know what...you are scaring me...I gave my trust to you...." added Indra...
" Yeah I remember, have faith in your guide..." replied Hakai...
It was sixth day and they were still walking... Indra was nauseatic and he vomitted, seeing him Hakai also couldn't held back and he also vomitted...they had to take a break so they found a place to sit and drink some water...
The purple patches around their wounds had spread and slowly slowly they had started to feel pain while walking but they had no option but to continue travelling...
Now it was seventh day , and their condition had now worsen...they were thirsty but no matter how much water they drank ..their thirst didn't quench ...they were breathing heavily.... the pain was terrific...
They had reached on a rocky cliff...beyond that cliff was an eerie silence...the surrounding had a light misty fog...but the misty fog was denser at the bottom as seen from above the cliff...Where were they?...Had they reached a dead end?...Had Hakai lost the track of their destination ?..Had they transverse into a wrong place?...Various questions emerged in Indra's mind...
Hakai moved at the edge of cliff then turned towards Indra and as blood flew from his mouth he said," This pain is unbearable Indra...I am sorry...and here I promised we would reach within time but I was wrong... I am sorry Indra..."
" What do you mean? Why you are standing there ? It is dangerous...come back... Don't you try to do anything funny okay?" said Indra looking into Hakai's eyes....
" There is no other way Indra... Let's us accept our faith and release ourselves from this pain...You don't want to die a pathetic painful life...Right?..." said Hakai as the purple patch spread completely around his chest...
Hakai bowed down and hugged Kota and said.." I will have to go first..."
Kota made a sad face and lowered his head down..
"Come with me Indra...let us both do it together..." added Hakai....
" No...it..cannot be.." screamed Indra loudly and rushed towards Hakai in fear as the purple patch spread around his legs..
But as soon as Indra reached there Hakai grabbed Indra's hand and jumped from the cliff....
