Chapter 18 - Chapter 18

Year 1484 of the Sea Calendar, after the God Valley Incident, the Roger Pirates took two infants with them. One was Shanks, a Celestial Dragon hidden in a treasure chest, and the other was Buggy, the orphaned son of Rocks D. Xebec…

Buggy had never known his true identity until Roger revealed everything in this letter.

At the end of the letter was this passage:

[I apologize for raising you, the son of the man I killed.]

[I've left the apology gifts there. Go retrieve them for your father.]

[Rocks D. Buggy!]

After Jon finished reading the letter, several mysteries were instantly solved.

No wonder Buggy's character setting was so outrageous; no wonder Whitebeard would speak to Buggy…

This guy's background was truly extraordinary.

"The original trajectory of Buggy awakening his bloodline power must have been inheriting Rocks's will."

Jon burned the letter. "It's a pity, though, you won't be able to continue Rocks's dying wish."

"Because I am the one who writes the history of the world."

The letter burned to ash, and Buggy's true identity once again became a secret.

Jon nonchalantly clapped his hands, smiling as he looked at the curious Makino.

"What do you think of this ship? We can refit it into a wedding ship later and sail out to sea with us."

"Ah? I don't want to go out to sea!"

Makino meekly lowered her head, muttering softly, "I just want to be a proper bar owner in Foosha Village. Even if we get married… even if we get married, at most I'd open a bar in your village. I really don't want to go out to sea."

Hmm?

She actually contradicted me?

Jon frowned and walked straight towards Makino, cornering her against the wall before lifting her chin.

"My woman must listen to me! Disobedience will be punished!"

As his words fell.

Jon fiercely devoured her soft lips, reaching out to clamp her waist.

Feeling the dissatisfied biting force from her lips.

Makino's attitude immediately softened after the pain, and her originally resentful expression gradually turned to submission.

A moment later.

Makino, powerless to resist, chose to accept her fate and voluntarily took on the position of 'ship's bartender'.

Seeing Makino being so sensible, Jon nodded with satisfaction.

He was a pure love type of guy, rarely indulging in the 'star slave' dynamic.

But basic training was still necessary, otherwise, they wouldn't know their place!

He removed Makino's troublesome headscarf, and her dark green long hair cascaded in waves around her face.

Jon greedily sniffed her hair while scanning the treasures in the cabin.

In a single day.

He had gone from a struggling poor boy to a wealthy magnate with two hundred million.

The feeling was incredibly exhilarating.

But Jon knew there was something even more exhilarating waiting for him.

He immediately picked Makino up by the waist, and amidst her trembling and struggling, he leaned down and kissed her forehead.

"Makino, I don't want to wait anymore. Will you be mine?"

Seeing Jon's eyes filled with deep affection and desire.

Makino was both shy and scared. She struggled to calm herself, biting her lip as she said:

"Uh, isn't this too fast? And I haven't even asked you…"

"Do you truly like me? We've only known each other for less than a day."

She finished, staring intently at Jon, as if trying to see into his heart through his eyes.

"Of course I truly like you." Jon held Makino and sat down at the table, letting her straddle his lap, his gaze unwavering: "Do you know about love at first sight?"

Makino's cheeks flushed, and she nodded, but her gaze bravely met Jon's.

She had met all sorts of people and had the ability to discern lies.

But she found it very strange.

Why were Jon's eyes filled with such fervent love?

He said it was love at first sight, but it seemed as if he had loved her for a long time.

Just like that red-haired man who often came to the bar.

No…

That red-haired man merely concealed his feelings, but Jon was full of aggression.

"For you, it was love at first sight."

Jon didn't hesitate, organizing his thoughts before speaking directly:

"From the first moment I saw you, I felt a strong liking for you. Especially after learning of your kindness, I didn't want to miss you even more."

Hearing this, Makino's cheeks flushed crimson.

No wonder he said he'd kiss her to death back then… He really was a bad guy.

Jon continued:

"So I'm willing to break into a pirate stronghold for you. Anyone you want to protect, I will save them all."

"As for knowing each other for less than a day… I want to say, time cannot measure feelings!"

"Because love always comes fiercely, like a storm!"

Oh—!!!

Upon hearing these words.

Makino's heart immediately leaped from her chest!

Love is like a storm, he said it so well!

That's exactly how she felt.

She had only known him for less than a day, yet she had unconsciously fallen for him.

She thought it was shameless, but there was actually an explanation for it.

Gazing into those deep, fervent eyes, Makino could no longer resist.

How could a mere 20-year-old girl who had never been in love withstand Jon's relentless siege?

Her slender hands, resting against Jon's chest, moved upward, actively hooking around his neck.

A captivating smile bloomed on her cheeks, and her eyes were so gentle they seemed to drip with water.

"Jon…"

"What is it?"

"I believe you, love me~"
