Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Monopolies Are Always Profitable

[Gura Gura no Mi — A strange fruit from the Ocean World, said to be the embodiment of the Sea Devil's power. Consuming it grants abilities akin to a kekkei genkai: the power to create tremors, trigger earthquakes, tsunamis—even fracture space itself.

Cost: 100,000 points.]

[Sword of Promised Victory (Excalibur) — The legendary sword wielded by King Arthur, also known as the King's Sword and the Holy Sword. Converts internal magical energy into a beam of light with destructive force at the city-wide scale.

Cost: 50,000 points. Replica version available for 5,000 points.]

As she scrolled through the increasingly fantastical exchange list, Tsunade's expression shifted from curiosity to disbelief to awe.

What were these options?

Could it be… that this so-called "Lord God" had access to multiple worlds, conducting cross-dimensional trades?

She paused, furrowing her brows in thought, then stopped browsing.

Her finger slid down the menu and tapped on one of the simplest options:

Substitution Jutsu.

A basic, though not necessarily easy, E-rank ninjutsu. Cost: 10 points.

Tsunade lightly tapped the option. In a flash of light, a small scroll—no longer than the length of a hand—materialized out of thin air. She instinctively grabbed it.

"…It really worked? This 'Lord God'—just what kind of being is this?"

A look of disbelief filled Tsunade's elegant features. She had seen it clearly—this scroll had appeared from nothing.

Unrolling it, the writing was crisp and familiar—it was indeed a scroll teaching the standard E-rank Substitution Jutsu, known by every ninja in the Hidden Leaf.

As soon as she finished reading, the scroll dissolved into light and vanished. Simultaneously, a message entered her mind:

[You have successfully learned Substitution Jutsu. This version is enhanced:

Escape range increased by 2 meters. Hand seal time reduced by 1 second.

Note: E-rank ninjutsu can only be enhanced once.]

If the scroll's appearance could somehow be explained by space-time ninjutsu, then what about its disappearance from her own hands?

That… defied all logic.

After a moment of silence, Tsunade slowly exhaled. A sharp gleam flickered in her eyes—she now believed in the existence of the "Lord God."

She still didn't know what it was, or whether it was friend or foe—but she was now tethered to it.

Since that was the case, she might as well take advantage of the benefits.

Exchanging just one jutsu had improved it significantly. What about others?

The gains could be even more substantial!

And in this era of constant war, only power could protect herself—and her family. Thinking back to how Nawaki had nearly died from that trap, Tsunade's gaze darkened.

She made up her mind.

For the first time, Tsunade initiated a question herself.

"Are there other ways to earn points besides completing missions?"

The Lord God's voice responded coldly, without emotion:

[Yes. Points can also be earned by submitting items, jutsu scrolls, or manuals.

If the jutsu exists in your memory in full, you may submit it directly—no need to transcribe it.]

"Submit jutsu…?"

Tsunade hesitated briefly, but recalling the vast possibilities in the exchange list, she finally nodded. "Alright."

Immediately, a stream of system notifications began to appear:

[Submitted C-rank ninjutsu: Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique.

Points gained: 5.]

[Submitted B-rank ninjutsu: Fire Style: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet.

Points gained: 50.]

[Submitted A-rank ninjutsu...]

[Submitted B-rank ninjutsu…]

[Submitted B-rank ninjutsu…]

[Submitted C-rank ninjutsu…]

What could one say? Tsunade was truly Konoha royalty—a genius in her own right, and the personal disciple of Hiruzen Sarutobi, the "God of Shinobi," known for mastering nearly every jutsu not tied to kekkei genkai.

While she mostly used a limited set of techniques in battle, the number of jutsu she had memorized was staggering.

If Kakashi copied over a thousand jutsu using his Sharingan…

Then Tsunade had memorized hundreds through sheer intelligence and battlefield experience.

Most were B and C-rank, with only a handful of A-rank techniques. But quantity made up for it.

In the blink of an eye, Nawaki's interface was flooded with notifications. The point total soared rapidly.

After just a few seconds, Tsunade had accumulated roughly 3,500 points.

She had uploaded over 7,000 points' worth of jutsu in one go—and what's more, she hadn't even submitted her rarest techniques. Skills like Monster Strength, Yin Seal, and Creation Rebirth were still held back.

What she did submit were mostly common-use jutsu—valuable, yes, but widely known across the major villages.

This was the "Will of Fire" in action—Tsunade's moral line.

Jackpot. Absolute jackpot! I already made back the 500-point reward in one shot!

Nawaki's eyes sparkled as he watched the numbers bounce upward in glee.

Naturally, when it came to "purchasing" jutsu from Tsunade, Nawaki had made some adjustments.

He halved the original system purchase rate—so if a normal A-rank jutsu earned 500 points, he only credited 250.

On the flip side, he raised the sale price—E-rank jutsu like Substitution, which usually cost 5 points, he now sold for 10.

Just like that, the exchange rate between buy and sell had been stretched fourfold.

Originally, selling one jutsu could buy one jutsu. Now? You'd need to sell four to afford just one.

"This is the beauty of monopoly economics!

I'll always take the lion's share. Every Reincarnator is just my laborer—working tirelessly for my benefit…" Nawaki chuckled darkly to himself.

Of course… he did feel a little guilty about exploiting his own sister.

But some rules simply couldn't be bent.

In the future, more Reincarnators would join. They'd eventually interact, collaborate—or even clash.

If anyone discovered that Tsunade was receiving special treatment from the Lord God, and started putting the clues together…

Then Nawaki's secret—that he was the Lord God—could be exposed.

After all, Nawaki was still human, living in this world. It would be nearly impossible not to slip up somewhere.

"The number one priority is maintaining the Lord God's absolute authority.

Fear strengthens obedience, and it also hides my identity.

Sorry, sis… but this time, I need you to bear with it."

[Item exchange: Avalon (Replica). Cost: 3,000 points.]

As Nawaki contemplated his next move, Tsunade had already chosen her first major exchange item.

With a click, a radiant golden scabbard appeared in her hands. Streamlined, inscribed with elegant blue enamel patterns, and engraved with mysterious Elvish-like glyphs.

Avalon.

The Ideal Land Far Away From the World. An EX-rank Noble Phantasm.

It could heal all injuries—including curses—halt aging, and in its true form, disassemble into hundreds of protective layers that banish the wielder to a fairy realm immune to all interference.

Of course, this was a replica version, only capable of lasting ten seconds, and its defense capped at Kage-level or lower attacks.

Tsunade hadn't chosen to exchange for familiar things—bloodline limits or ninjutsu she already knew.

Instead, she'd spent nearly all her points on Avalon—a Noble Phantasm from the Fate universe, wielded by Saber.

That choice caught Nawaki by surprise.

Was it… to preserve her youth?

Thinking of how Tsunade later used medical ninjutsu to maintain a youthful appearance, Nawaki couldn't help but chuckle.
