Chapter 1 - Prologue: The Cut Between Worlds

The cosplay event was vibrant and alive. Laughter echoed through the crowded convention hall, where dozens of fans were dressed as their favorite characters from anime, manga, and games. Li Xian had chosen his costume with care, embodying one of the most powerful figures from a world he'd once known — Gojo Satoru, his blindfold snug against his face, his movements graceful yet confident.

It was just another day in the bustling halls of cosplay fanatics, a chance to escape the monotony of everyday life.

But then, the chaos arrived.

A deafening bang split the air, followed by rapid gunfire, scattering the crowd into panicked shouts. People screamed, running for cover, but one man, clad in black armor, charged forward with a machete in hand. His intentions were clear — death.

Li Xian barely had time to react as the machete swung through the air, cutting deep into his torso. The searing pain was instant, the world around him spinning as his blood pooled beneath him. He reached out weakly, feeling his body go numb, his life slipping away in an agonizing instant.

Then, there was nothing.

When Li Xian's awareness returned, he felt the strange sensation of being neither alive nor dead, neither bound by time nor space. There was no body, no pain, no senses — just pure thought.

Floating in the void.

It wasn't the peaceful afterlife he'd imagined, nor was it the torment he feared. Instead, there was only endless darkness — cold, silent, and vast. For a time, Li Xian simply existed, unsure of his surroundings or even his own existence.

Then, a voice cut through the void, its tone amused and yet omniscient, as if it had seen the rise and fall of countless souls.

"Well, well... what an anticlimactic end."

The voice was playful, almost mocking. "A cosplay event, really? A terrorist attack? No grand finale, no epic death in battle — just a random mishap. How disappointing."

Li Xian attempted to speak, but no words came. He was not in his body. He was just consciousness, a mind adrift in an unfathomable emptiness.

The figure before him took shape, flickering like a hologram. It was massive — part celestial being, part artificial machine, part incomprehensible force. The entity's presence was both awe-inspiring and alien.

"I am ROB," the being's voice rang out, calm yet filled with power. "Random Omnipotent Being. And you, Li Xian, are in a bit of a predicament. You're not supposed to be here — dead, that is. I wasn't expecting you to die this way. Not exactly a fitting end for someone with your potential."

Li Xian tried to process what was being said. His mind, though fragmented, was still sharp enough to grasp the gravity of the situation. A being of unimaginable power... talking to me?

"Look," ROB continued, "I'm not one to leave things unfinished, so I'll offer you a deal. You were a fan, cosplaying as a mighty figure, but you got robbed of your potential in such an unspectacular way. Here's what I'll do: I'll give you a second chance. But not just any second chance. You'll be sent to a new world. Douluo Dalu. A world full of powerful martial souls, spirit beasts, and cultivation. You'll have a fresh start. No more limitations. But here's the catch: You get to make three wishes."

Li Xian felt a surge of anticipation — a chance at a second life, a new world filled with untold possibilities.

Li Xian collected his thoughts and replied firmly, "I wish to be powerful. To truly understand everything around me. I want clarity, precision, and mastery over both my body and mind."

ROB's glowing form seemed to flicker, as if considering the request. "You know what that means, right? If you want clarity, you'll need a martial soul that grants perfect insight into the world. You'll also need the power to manipulate and control the battlefield itself. Very well, I'll grant your first wish."

With a snap of ROB's fingers, a sudden wave of energy rushed through Li Xian's mind. The following words seemed to burn into his consciousness:

First Wish:

Twin Martial Souls:

Six Eyes: The ability to see beyond normal sight. With Six Eyes, Li Xian would be able to perceive everything in his environment in perfect clarity. Not just the physical world, but the flow of energy, the intentions of others, and the very nature of every object and being around him.

Extreme Space, High Gravity, and Normal Time Manipulation: His second martial soul would grant him control over the very fabric of reality. He could distort space, crush enemies with gravity, and manipulate time to a limited degree, providing him with an edge in combat that would allow him to control the battlefield in unpredictable ways.

Li Xian felt the immense power of these souls, the weight of his new potential. His very being thrummed with the energy of a martial artist on the cusp of greatness.

ROB continued, "Now that your martial souls are settled, let's talk about your cultivation."

Li Xian listened intently. He needed to make sure that all of his wishes would come together into something powerful, something that would give him the edge he needed.

"Your second wish, then?" ROB asked, its voice resonating with a knowing tone. "What else do you desire?"

"I wish for a cultivation technique. A method to nurture my mind and spirit together. I want something that will allow me to grow in both mental and spiritual strength, a way to unlock my true potential."

ROB's smile was almost palpable. "Ah, you wish for the perfect balance of spirit and mind. A rare and powerful request. Very well. I will grant your second wish."

Second Wish:

Cultivation Technique: A method that strengthens both spirit and mind, combining aspects of Tang San's cultivation techniques with a unique twist. This cultivation technique would allow Li Xian to grow both his spiritual energy and his mental power in tandem, using his intellect to amplify his spirit power. This would not only improve his physical abilities but also sharpen his perceptions, intuition, and overall understanding of the world.

Li Xian felt a surge of warmth within him as the cultivation technique integrated into his being, filling his mind with the knowledge of spiritual growth.

ROB's voice continued, "And now, for your final wish. What do you want for combat?"

Li Xian paused, thinking carefully. "I wish to inherit Gojo Satoru's martial arts techniques. I want the ability to fight with Wing Chun, to have the same fighting instincts and martial prowess as one of the greatest warriors. But I don't want to be able to use them right away. I want to relearn them, master them through my own training, so they become mine."

ROB's form flickered with approval. "I see. You don't want to just inherit power — you want to earn it. I like that."

Third Wish:

Gojo Satoru's Wing Chun Martial Arts Memories: Li Xian would inherit the martial techniques and battle instincts of Gojo Satoru, but not in an automatic way. The memories would be locked in his mind, available for him to learn and refine. With time, effort, and training, Li Xian would become a master of Wing Chun, able to use these techniques to their fullest extent. However, the road to mastering them would be long and hard, requiring him to unlock the memories and techniques through his own growth.

ROB smiled once more, its glowing form shimmering in the void. "Your wishes are granted, Li Xian. You now possess:

Twin Martial Souls: Six Eyes and Extreme Space, High Gravity, Normal Time.

A Cultivation Technique that enhances both your mental and spiritual strength.

Gojo Satoru's Wing Chun Memories for you to relearn and master."

Li Xian felt an overwhelming surge of power. His body and mind now brimming with potential, his martial souls resonating within him, he was ready for whatever this new world had in store.

"Good luck, Li Xian," ROB said, its voice fading into the distance. "You've got a long road ahead. Don't squander your second chance."

With those final words, the void around Li Xian began to bend, reality warping as his consciousness was pulled toward the new world.

Li Xian's surroundings shattered into light. His senses were overwhelmed by the vibrant, unfamiliar world around him. He was no longer floating in the endless void.

The world of Douluo Dalu awaited him.

End of Prologue.
