His voice softened as he loosened his hold on my shoulder. Instead, his hands drifted lower to offer gentle, rhythmic pats to my back. His embrace and the familiar sensations of his touch filled me with a sense of sorrow. In this strange world, the only one who knew me as Noa Park besides Miu was the man before me. The idea of Kyle abandoning my side was too awful to think about. Trying to banish the sad thoughts from my mind, I was grateful that he, at least, seemed oblivious to how much I needed him in my life.
